- Citroen C1/Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107 non start immobiliser fault repair. Key pairing procedure DIY, no tools required.
Immobiliser reprogramming/bypass/key sync or re-sync.
CityBug Key coding/ECU replacement/lost key/new key/key synchronisation tutorial.
NO SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED
My key no longer operates the remote, changed batteries with no luck so I'm stuck with using the door locks. Looks like I might have to go this route.

This doesn’t code it for the remote locking, just codes it to start the car. There will be a way to code the remote locking I’m sure, but I’ve not going it yet
you'll have to google "Aygo remote programing" its a complete mating dance outside of this message scope, but I have managed to pair mine peugeot keys with mine Aygo. Make sure you have all the keys you want to use as each time you program all the old ones get lost.

that is one of the best ways of doing becuase ya don't need any dignostic equipment just a bit of wire that will do the job fine i have done that quite a bit in the past grate video as always

My lovley keys drain the battery like crazy, i need to change the battery after 3 months, and even after putting a fresh battery the opening/closing won't work 100% of the times...cant get it to behave normally, and that's driving me mad...
Could he corroded contacts to the chip or bad buttons

Not something I’ve tried. I may be incorrect in my assumption that different keys can be programmed in. It may be the case that this process just allows the ecu to accept an already paired key and immob unit
Little point about pairing keys is that apart for pairing keys with immobilizer it although pairs immobilizer with ECU that is why when you swap ECU back you are no longer paired with immobilizer (immobilizer refuses to work with new ECU)
Yes, it seems to program the ecu to accept the key and immob unit. I suspect that the key and immob unit have to be paired for it to work but lets you swap the ecu,.. as long as you’ve got the Cortes ecu that is as there’s a few different ones

Do you know if the ECU also controls the remote lock/unlock? Because in my Shitroen the remote lock/unlock doesn't work most of the time when I've just powered off the car, but after a couple of minutes, any idea of what can cause this?
That’s another box under the dash. I show it in this vid near the start. I’m not 100% sure though as I’ve not had much to do with central locking on these cars

@@GundarsNodland I don't think so, it's not as common anymore but I have a new battery since early 2023 that might have fixed it. Otherwise I don't know.
It DOES work? You’re video about fitting Yaris injectors makes sense. The intake is badly designed no3 - gearbox end is strangled and always runs rich. The big end on that cylinder always wears out first proving these engines like a rich mixture. The inlet manifold goes round in a circle which must strangle the whole engine like cats usually do they fit bypass pies on racing cars you can get a sports manifolds for 107s etc which don’t have a cat - illegal for road use but I bet like motorbikes these illegal moods are often used!
Yea there are decat exhaust manifolds available for them but they’re not road legal so I wouldn’t dream of fitting one.

Great videos mate. My 107 only came with the second key, I bought a spurious key fob off eBay, got the the chip programmed and kept cut but they couldn’t do the central locking, don’t suppose you have any ideas. I have tried that open door close door bollox but doesn’t work!
I’ve never messed with the central locking, but from what I’ve seen it’s like a grand theft auto cheat to get it to work.
Buttons stopped working on fob so bought new fob off the bay. Tried to sync the new one with the open and shut door and ignition on and off methods on TH-cam...now it's buggered. Won't even turn over. Got auto locksmith out to it and he couldn't get it to work either. You any ideas???
If it won’t turn over then that’s not an issue with the key programming. Could be an issue with the ignition barrel, starter motor or even a seized alternator. Does it try to turn over? First thing to check is that the battery terminals are both tight.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos battery fine alternator and starter fine. Terminals tight and clean. Ignition barrel unknown.... appointment with an auto electrician next option I think. Great vid yet again! So one of my keys on my C1 (non central locking model) often cranks the engine but won’t start. The second key is always fine. I’m guessing the first key is losing or has a worn/faulty transponder. Do you think that by doing this method with the worn transponder will reprogrammed it again? Thanks bud
Hi mate. Try the key both ways up maybe? I don’t think this method will help with yours as the chip is already programmed to it. Tbh I think this method actually just programs the ecu to accept the latest paired immobiliser unit and key but I could be wrong. It let me change the ecu though!
Thanks mate… yeah I rang moonkey earlier (great onlibevkey cutting site) who said to try taking faulty transponder out and holding it closer to ignition barrel and then turning engine over in case it thinks it’s not close enough and this May re sync it. Failing that they’ll do a quick postage turnabout on replacement if I send the non faulty key to them so they can read and reproduce a duplicate. Thanks pal and hope this convo helps anyone else.

Just wired in one of these cheepo ebay keyless entry kits(£10) piece of piss now I know where the wires need cutting in. Let me know if you want to have a go and I’ll give you the wiring diagram

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos yes, original key stopped working and this was the cheapest option, now got a fake flashing alarm led, car locks itself when ignition on and indicators flash on lock/unlock, would make another good how to guide for your channel

With this method; can you get a remote part from a scrap car, with the a correct metal part of the key, and make an extra remote control key?
This is to make it start the car not program the remote locking but yea I think so. I’ve not tried it on multiple keys though but I think it should work

I have a Peugeot 107 2011 that is showing an error message B2799 Engine Immobiliser System, do you think this may fix this issue, or did you test it without using the wire at all?

This is just coding keys to the immobiliser module, but your issue sounds like an issue with the immobiliser box under the dash or wiring to it rather than it’s not recognising the key so I don’t think this will help

I’ve done a bit more research since the video was made and I believe it only works to code the ecu to an already paired key and immob module. I still cold be wrong though as I can’t find any 100% certainty on the matter
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Yeah i think that is the issue, only works for coding the ecu to a key already paired I tired it with a new key as my daft other half lost the key, so need to pull out the immo and get it virginised, Love the videos though mate always entertaining.

99.9% likelihood I'm being a dumbass, but if I have a new key cut with a transponder chip included, I can pair it to the ECU so long as I have that NASA-grade cable? Doesn't matter if it doesn't control the remote locking, but if it physically unlocks the door and starts the car that's mega.
Yes it should work to do that. I’ve not tried it with multiple keys though. There’s a chance they it might delete your old one and replace it with the new one, but as far as I’m aware this is the process to add a new key so hopefully not 🤞

I left a reply, but I think it got deleted because it had a link in it. Method didn't work for me, unfortunately, but I did manage to program the new key (blank with no buttons - £20 inc. p&p) to lock/unlock the car. First result that comes up on Google if you search for 'Remote coding for Toyota Aygo, Citroen C1, Peugeot ... - AWS'. If I'm a knob and lock my ECU key in the car, as least I can unlock it with the spare to retrieve it now.
@@enemycrab9229 ah right. Maybe the key and the immob box have to be paired from the start and then the ecu is programmed to accept them then 🤔
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos You know more about these things than I do! I wouldn't hazard a guess, other than it's possible it was something stupid like I didn't have a good connection in the OBD. I would play around with it some more, but I nearly killed the battery in the process. Besides, I let you do the experimenting 😁

It won’t always work. I’ve learned since that there are a couple of different ECU and different wiring configurations, will only work when all is matching
