Quick update on the MPG. Around town the shitter seems to be doing about 40mpg or so. Slightly better than it was before the remap, as with the Yaris injectors and other mods I used to get about 37mpg. Before any mods it used to do about 45mpg. The car would probably happily be capable of more, but just not with my fat size 12 foot tapping down on that right pedal 🤷♀️

I think the comparison between airfilter without pipe/scoop vs airfilter with pipe/scoop would offer better results up to 70 without the need to go for no filter, which nobody really wants. Airscoop proves beneficial after 70, that is my personal understanding, responsiveness/acceleration wise not fuel save wise 🤟

@@evka3220 yea I expected more from the manifold tbh but remember I was testing it against an already decatted exhaust so compared to a cat it might be more obvious, but honestly didn’t really feel noticeable. And sweet. Let me know results. The remap is more than I expected from a 1.0 naturally aspirated but compared to a turbo car the gains are little, but that’s just facts when tuning a naturally aspirated petrol. Worth a couple hundred quid for a laugh, but deffo not worth £700!

@@KSHOT-tj3mo these engines are pretty bulletproof, should be fine but watch out for the immobiliser or you could have the same issue I did. I’ll have a butchers at the Insta 🙃
also i think this new E10 petrol ethanol is more nock resistant than the previous norm but less power than the shell V for the ammount off fuel used, tuned ethanol cars pump way more than just petrol tuned
Ethanol itself is more knock resistant, and burns cooler hence highly tuned cars can make more power on stuff like E85 than straight petrol. The ethanol has about 2/3 of the energy per ml so much more has to be burned. E10 fuel is only rated to shout 95 octane I believe, so more than likely is mixed with lower octane fuel to start with. I’m not sure though, this is just my thoughts on it.

Hey Tim, I'm planning on swapping the ECU on my VW UP with another ECU found on the same car but higher spec which has an extra 15hp. Now from research I need ECU, BCM (controls most of the electrics of the car), clocks (as it contains the immobiliser), key, key barrel, door locks and fuel cap key lock. Now my question with your experience is would/did your car start when you swapped the ECU and immobiliser over? I can understand why you got the standard ECU mapped as it needs to know about the different injectors and other engine mods you did
Hi mate. Mine didn’t start when I swapped the ecu cos I was sent the wrong module. There one I was sent was for the remote central locking but the one I needed for the immobiliser was hidden deeper in the dash and got crushed with the car the ecu came from 😞 Not sure on the vw how the system works but it might be cheaper and easier just to get your orig ecu remapped? What car/engine is the ecu from? Is it the same physical engine etc?

The main / good thing is the car still worked and no electrical issues occurred. So with the VW UP it requires those bits I mentioned earlier. On the loaded spec it comes with an extra 15hp and from research it's just a map from factory no engine mods. It also has heated seats and electric mirrors I plan to put in mine which the BCM I'll swap would also have the features for that. Hopefully it goes all well. I've got a donor car here so have everything here
@@zaink7037 I really like the VW Up I think they’re a mint little car, like the bugs but higher quality and better looking. The same engine different map scenario wouldn’t be unheard of too. Some manufacturers do have different spec cars with the same hardware under the bonnet, but a different map these days. From what I’ve seen BMW are probably the most common to do it and it is usually with turbo engines, which makes sense as they can be varied much more with software. What engine is in your car?
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos what you just said about them is what moved me to one. More solid, better built, comfier to drive, better equipped than the 107,C1,Aygo trio. I've bought a few of these UPs to flip and it made want to keep one. Found a cheap black 5 door (meets my criteria) one in good condition with FSH and allegedly cambelt was done. These come with a 1 litre engine with either 59 or 75hp. The higher hp engines are found in the High UP models. Found a cheap high up I plan to swap the heated seats, electric mirrors and ECU over. So the BCM unit controls most of the electrics of the car so swapping that over in mine will enable it to have the seat heating and electric mirror function. Need to change the clocks as it has the immobiliser built in then the ECU and locks and keys. Hopefully and praying that's all it and it works without programming anything.
@@HandHaben it will pop like mad on overrun, you’ve got to have the revs above a certain amount and just touch the throttle a tiny bit. I didn’t have the pop and bang set up that aggressively though, the place that mapped it can adjust it for more or less or none. My exhaust tip is only tiny so it’s more of a pop than a bang on this 🤣
Search online or on Insta/Facebook for DDG tuning. He actually does a postal service too where you can send your ecu over to him and he sends it back remapped
@@yossi4652 flock. It’s honestly one of the best mods I’ve ever done. If I did it again I’d do a better job though. I’d do it on a colder day and apply the flock faster so it stuck better

Think your mpg figures are a bit out G, when u lent it me (thanks again BTW) it cost me more in fuel than my V70 would have. On the plus side, the ride was harsh, the noise was loud, and the radio needs a degree in chinglish to understand! Hahahaha 😎

I do chip tuning before 125000 km on my hyundai getz local tuning master replace new eprom with new mapa and my getz come from 66ks on 85ks on dyno no problems with car
From 0-100 km on hour before 15 second now 12.7 second max speed before 150 km now 170 km on 6500 rpm take 1l more gasoline on 3500 rpm like before my Nm is after chip tuning on 2000rpm before max Nm be on 3700 rpm so now idling much faster master put in new eprom diferent time of ignition and diferent fuel ratio...in 10 years i dont have any problem with car....
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I am planning to change the layout slightly though for the scuttle intake. Plan is 90° out of the intake, length of pipe over to just behind the battery, 90° up through the scuttle and a mushroom pod on top. Will isolate the filter from the engine bay much better
Yeah,absolutely. Changed and registered all the possible modified. Major tyres, pipe, suspension , the breaks , the cooler.... Little stuff. Just keeping consuming all petrol and oil with no any massive and significant results

I’m sure it will definitely be lower than standard, but I feel like it may actually be slightly better than what I’ve been getting with the Yaris injectors previously not dialled in, but we will see over next couple weeks.

It was mapped for decat, exhaust an intake and injectors. Probably counts as stage 2 but I think 🤔

I do chip tuning before 125000 km on my hyundai getz local tuning master replace new eprom with new mapa and my getz come from 66ks on 85ks on dyno no problems with car
Sweet. How were the results?
From 0-100 km on hour before 15 second now 12.7 second max speed before 150 km now 170 km on 6500 rpm take 1l more gasoline on 3500 rpm like before my Nm is after chip tuning on 2000rpm before max Nm be on 3700 rpm so now idling much faster master put in new eprom diferent time of ignition and diferent fuel ratio...in 10 years i dont have any problem with car....

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I am planning to change the layout slightly though for the scuttle intake. Plan is 90° out of the intake, length of pipe over to just behind the battery, 90° up through the scuttle and a mushroom pod on top. Will isolate the filter from the engine bay much better

Changed and registered all the possible modified. Major tyres, pipe, suspension , the breaks , the cooler.... Little stuff. Just keeping consuming all petrol and oil with no any massive and significant results
