@@rehabhqofficial I changed my name from Half_Paralyzed_67 because I thought the connotation sounded too self defeating. I figured how I think about myself is important; but wasn’t sure that I wanted to use my real name either. My stroke took place on March 7th, 2019;Im in Arizona. My wonderful wife has stepped up to the plate in a huge way to help take care of me; but for the financial reasons, I don’t regularly go to therapy sessions anymore. I believe I’ve been watching your videos since mid 2019; I try to watch even if everything you cover doesn’t apply to me; I appreciate your insights, and demeanor and the knowledge you share. Hi Doc. My mother aged 71 suffered a stroke 2 months ago. She has left sided Hemiplegia. She is unable to stand without support or balance as her affected knee buckles out during standing. While walking it it's the opposite her affected knee is hyperextended. Her affected leg and knee also has a tendency to turn outwards. I am following your learnings on Knee buckles and hyperextension. Are there some exercises she can perform since she is suffering from both the conditions?

My wife had a brain stem stroke 4 1/2yrs. ago. Her entire right side was effected. She has a right hip replacement with foot drop and severe spasticity in her right foot/ankle. She has an Up Walker and I have noticed over a period of time, when she walks, she turns her right foot in ( so much so, she is tripping on her left foot ). I spoke to an Orthopedic Surgeon and he said he did not think it was her hip. He felt it was a muscle issue. I have an appointment for her on May 6th to take an XRay of her hip, hoping this will tell us what is going on. If it is muscular...what exercises would you recommend for her. We already do many of your exercises you recommend for her issues. Please advise!
