I just saw one of these (looks *just* like this the one you reviewed tbh) a week or so ago going somewhere on a flatbed in Fountain Valley, CA...what a beautiful automobile and Colleen really did a nice job talking about this car and its storied history :-)
I’m old enough to remember when the Ferraristi didn’t consider these cars “real” Ferraris. A lot of owners slapped Ferrari badges on them to counter the low self-esteem of ownership. Nobody parked them with any pride alongside the 12 cylinder cars at gatherings. Funny how time has a way of making people see things through a different lens.
Cheaper does not correspond with this manufacturer. These car have always been a favorite of mine. By today’s standard they are very slow but I love the design over having more speed.
My all time favourite car. As an uninitiated 11 year old my dad took me to the Ferrari Club of Australia annual concourse. You name it was there, but the one car that stood out for me, was the Dino.
I knew one of the previous owners and have seen that car numerous times. Dr. Tom Pepper was a customer at my restaurant. The car was originally silver.

It didn’t wear the badge of Ferrari because that’s what Enzo wanted. Ferrari eventually referred to the Dino as a Ferrari. It was born as a Dino, and that’s all it shall ever be. As quoted by Enzo Ferrari. A Ferrari is not a Ferrari unless it has a V12 engine. I totally agree. Also the Dino is a joke regarding performance as well as looks.
So all the v6 ferrari F1 cars, the 500 monidal that had s 4 cylinder... also the ASA 1000 GT, i could go on... also why do all dino data plates say ferrari on them? Hmm?
@@FerrarisOnline The Dino was a tribute to Alfredo, the engine designed by him and Vittorio Jano. the engine was built by Fiat. It didn't come out of the factory with Ferrari badges on. As i said built as a TRIBUTE to Dino. If someone feels so insecure they have to put Ferrari badges on or, worse still the poncey prancing horse then the DINO is not the car for them. Its not for their fragile ego, it would be like putting Lexus badges on a Toyota, same company so o.k?. As i said as its a tribute, putting badges on that do not belong would be like pissing on Dino's grave DON'T DO IT FFS!!! have some self respect & respect for Enzo's son, & thank him for giving us such a work of art!
You call a dino 246 ( NEVER called a Ferrari) a dino that’s a Ferrari yet you call a Dino 308 ( that WAS officially a Ferrari) not a Ferrari go figure?
I love the presentation of the car but I hate it when the presenter takes away from the presentation. I know your wardrobe is an extension of your personality but it takes away from your message and what the viewer has really tuned in for, the car.
FIAT Fix It A-gain To-ny, or my all-time Favorite F In Ass Twice. Auto Parts Guy told me that 40 years ago still think it's Funny as a Mechanic. Speaking of Fiat worked on my share of them in Cali back late 70s early 80s Fiats always had a Musty Interior Smell than Fast forward ,90s working on a ,308 GTB I'm sitting inside the car and I'm like I know that Smell💡Oh Smells like a Fiat 💡Oooh I know why the Italians Stuff Their Seats with Mediterranean Seaweed. Lol just a joke but they do smell a lot a like from Interior Materials.
For me, THE prettiest, most delicate and by far sensual piece of automotive design EVER. Bellisimo!!!

Thats is true. (I preffered it in silver) but people will do what they want with their cars.
One sold a few days ago at Bonhams auction for $403,000. Not too many years from now, the RHD models will be a million dollars.
