- Cici Muldoon has led an interesting life already. Growing up in Mexico, she was on track to become a dancer before she moved to the United States to study physics at Princeton. A phD then brought her to Oxford, and after a bout in Switzerland following grad school, she has settled (for the moment) in the English countryside. The Cotswolds offer quintessential British B-road driving, and Cici’s Triumph TR3 fits into the area almost too perfectly. Her Ferrari Dino and its unique color scheme stand out a little more.
She’s named the 246 GTS “Viola,” but affectionately refers to her as a bit of a pimpmobile too. After all, it is a mid-engine Italian sports car with purple paintwork and a removable roof. It seems like a perfect weekender, but in the two years that she’s owned this Dino, Cici has come around to the idea that it doesn’t need utter pampering, and she doesn’t mind clipping the occasional puddle if the driving mood happens to strike on a rainy Tuesday.

@@horsterer77 The thing that probably shaped her most is, as she told, that her dad was always very careful with his cars and that she saw them as untouchable. She was raised well, learning that she can't use expensive stuff that isn't her's. This video is very inspirational imo.

Well, @horsterer77 @Karl K, at least I put my inheritance to good use. I used it to get a PhD level education (which incidentally, money alone cannot buy) and with that started a high-tech company that employs people, improves an industry and helps further science and technology in the UK. You can’t help where you are born, but you can definitely do something with what you are given. 😉

I had a red one with cream seats - not the chairs and flares - I drove it every day. It did break down nearly every day but I drove it. I once took it to a back street garage to have the carbs adjusted. A little Italian bloke came out (cant remember his name) walked around it about ten times just saying 'beautiful'. When I came to pick it up he advised me to "drive with the handbrake on for a few miles....It's a very fast now". And he was right. It was. Super video thanks.

"wall hangers" are for collectors, not people who truly love the thing. Nothing will last forever. Better to wear in the purpose it was meant for. Say what you will about Leno, but he drives almost all his cars and isn't afraid to commit to serious restoration.

And if it is just locked away it loses it's purpose. Btw. a car that is not driven deteriorates, hence loses value too. Anyone who locks away a 250 GTO or an original GT40 should be punched in the face by the creators of the car.

She is a true car person. You can hear it in the way she talks about it & in that smile when she talks about it. Not many people out there can understand the feeling of driving a nice car or just driving a car in general, unless you are a petrol head. I love the passion and emotion she has for her car. This is how cars should be seen and enjoyed. Drive them and take care of them. Don't just put them in a garage or living room for years on end.

When you look at a Dino you can just see how the lines and overall style of it heavily influenced the later designs of the Ferrari 308/328 and the 288 GTO.

from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....

As a person who has lived in Oxford, the Oxford University Motorsport Foundation (OUMF) works on classic cars and you have to pay to work on those cars. Most of them have to be stripped to the bones for maintenance and racing, so you have to be extremely dedicated to join that club. Woodstock, or north Oxford is definitely one of THE place live in if you want to drive B roads. I have taken endless number of impromptu drives out of sheer boredom on Fri/Sat nights when everyone’s out clubbing.
So glad it gets driven even in our lovely British weather, props to you.
