When you find the informant, he says “please don’t leave me alone” and it honestly made me feel for him. So I had blue team stand by him whilst red team and I cleared the remaining 2 houses. Great map.
I also did that, except it was a really bad choice because after clearing the last house I thought “man where’s the last guy?” And immediately one of my guys got shot to fucking bits because I didn’t have the extra guys watching the open door
If you turn on subtitles in-game, you'll find that most of the officers in the station actually have names. I hope this hints at more personal interactions in levels. Especially since Judge is supposed to have more lines reacting to the enviroment.
Those names are also on their uniforms. Each officer has a unique one, and their dialogues change depending on which 'station state' you're in (how far along the station is in commander mode, basically)
yeah def. there are so many more things they could do to the ai... they should flinch when being shot, drop their weapons if you hit their arm or hand and surrender more easily when caught alone and outgunned. There should also be more behavior differences between simple robbers and terrorists imo, every suspect plays very suicidal rn wich really kills immersion
Honestly for me its gotten alot better since the DLC, especially the thugs on gas station and the homeless guys in the new shelter have been very hesitant with their weapons if I catch them offguard and can often get them to surrender, or atleast hesitate long enough for me to taze them with lethal backup behind me
@@REDACTED_shenanigans There's only a max of 4 suspects on Greenside Dorms with malicious traits, which is a great detail, because the officer outside even states the rest are just scared.
I'm usually fine with the SWAT AI but in this DLC I swear they're like "Judge look! A door! Hey, Judge, there's a opening on the right! Judge, what do you think is past that hallway?" and I'm like "PLEASE FALL IN" Also I think the bug with hitreg is caused by animations not being synchronized with their respective mesh hitboxes whenever they perform an action like "take hostage"
I think that (or im guessing that) they're trying to balance between realism and casual players. The casual players would be frustrated with more methodical AI, because it would feel like boring micromanaging. Thatr said, I would prefer more realistic & methodical AI if possible. And also an option to select the 1.0 or before 1.0 deadly suspect AI. I think they made this game a bit too easy for my liking with the paches that came after 1.0.
That seems like a good theory. The time my friend had an issue with the hitboxes also happened to be when they were transitioning from one animation to another and he also happened to be using a shotgun (which may or may not make any difference).
The amount of time I had walk across fatal funnels and open spaces just to adjust the AI is obscure. I’m glad the enemy ai isn’t as bad as 1.0 but it still frustrating bc my own teammate ai is too stupid.
Agree 100%. The two most annoying problems for me with the SWAT AI is their awful awareness and buggy pathfinding. There was a mod on nexus which actually did fix SWAT AI awareness though so they won't let themselves get shot like dummies and react to hostiles way quicker even over longer distances. It hasn't been updated yet but search for "SWAT and Suspects AI Overhaul". "Jug's Gameplay Review" is the best for enemy AI btw. Nevermind, it was pretty good and made them very useful. Hopefully someone can fix the AI pathfinding in the future when they release the SDK modding kit. I always facepalm when i give a move and clear order and they run into the room backwards like michael jackson lmao..
Don't bother doing it solo. The RNG of civilians is so bad I couldn't do it in 5:50 or less with them roaming around like a headless chickens. Host a multiplayer game, bean bag and breach shotguns. Two teams, first clear ground floor, second takes stairs in the middle and clears top floor. Made it in 3:50.
@@arishokvok8460 the quickest solo I got is 5:30. The civ Rng and suspect animations are way beyond fuck. One time a suspect went though a wall hole the moment I enter the room, and I chased him to the next room only to find him back to the last room though that same hole...
I love lawmaker, I tried playing it as silently as possible to keep the enemy's stress level down (didn't work) and it was so fun. I just wish the dude had clothes on Edit: also when you mentioned the reticle artifact, I've noticed that I can see the red dot reflected on doors and floors when ADS which doesn't make any sense. Ah, Lawmaker, I think my computer was on the verge of dying when I reached the first floor kitchen, and I could never find my friends ever again from that point because I'd freeze so much. I will admit that aside from Narcos, none of the maps necessarily hit me like some of the past ones. Then again, I don't think anything will top that shipping container from Port Hokan with the story dialogue, or maybe I just need to play them more since my friends keep moving quickly without stopping.
yeah after like 80 hours i realised sometimes it actually pays to be aggressive in this game, you learn to play aggressive on the active shooter maps because you gotta get to them as quick as possible and then you realise you can just play all of them like that. massive L to the officers stress levels though as you usually wont be taking many suspects alive, also requires good trigger discipline to not immediately shoot the first person you see on entering a room as they might be a civ

After the update, it is also worth playing the old missions again. The enemy AI now behaves more realistically. It hides, takes cover and gets stressed more quickly. The hit registration was egregious on the dorm map whenever the suspects decided to traverse the wall holes. It made trying to S rank it with non lethals incredibly frustrating.
The publisher would enforce deadlines anyway. Lack of progress on suspect AI and friendly AI and this is too few maps to make a campaign from what I counted.
I've also been wondering why there are so few options for pistols with compensators available. I'm looking to go loud but the reduction in recoil for some of the suppressors is just impossible to ignore especially since the lower damage requires some extremely good tracking and follow up shots on those suspects for the Beat Cop achievement.

IMO, releasing the DLC together with such a radical engine upgrade was a very bad strategic move. It's clear the devs should've first ironed out all problems with the new engine so that they could release new content on a stable platform. I've been playing RoN for 1.5 years (December 2022) and follow every new change und update with great interest and what impresses me the most lately, is the enviromental storytelling in the new updates and maps. everytime i try to luanch the game (in safe mode) it never fully loads and i just get a blank screen and i cant play, is this just me or is it a common bug
I have had problems with the swat ai, they often wonder away and encounter suspects taking civilians hostage and then proceed to gun them both down. Pretty annoying!
I'm having a LOT of freezing with this new DLC, about 90% of the time my game freezes during gameplay and crash.. This never happened before... anyone has ANY IDEA of what'a hell is going on?????
Anybody else get the vibe that Lawmaker is a love letter to R6?
I feel like lawmaker could use more suspects
do you have to reach a certain point in game to unlock the dlc? i bought it on steam and downloded and installed it but i dont notice any difference
If they fixed the perfomance the DlC wouldn't be bad
im on a 7800XT and 7800X3D
I want more M4 style weapons. I have a problem.
Can you please tell me your pc setup? I want to have same graphics as you and good fps like your pc
8:10 Ahh yes, RoN SWAT AI. AKA: Shmucks
Dlc would be fun If it was playable for me, game randomly freezes on me and i have to close the game on task manager, was hoping they'd fix the issue on first patch but they said they'll get it by second patch.
Hey sixty! I just joined the discord, but I was wondering how you'd feel about a collab on RON, I know I'm not big on TH-cam just yet, but I think it would be fun to do some content together, if you're willing of course 😊
Do you have a discord server where you chat and bs with and game with? I love this game but hate playing with randos who think it's COD...
Taking a break from Tarkov pve and coming back to this. Any more DLC coming ?
2:14 - CZ-75 bug lmao
I've got the patchologs.
Question how do you get outside of the pd
Why are they adding DLCs and not fixing the vanilla game ai ect?
all the mods dont work anymore. I have the supporter edition because i love the game but without mod??? hell no
You’ve dropped fps? I’ve actually seen 10-20 fps improvement. I used to get around 60-70 at max everything and now I get 80-90 fps average.
How are you playing the dlc with friendly swat ai? I have supporter edition but I can't access the dlc solo with ai
The dlc can be played solo in practice mode and isnt there in commander mode, its in a different tab in the mission selection as well
@@Erdominant thank you! I was stuck playing solo on multiplayer I didn't even know you could play matches with AI in practice
@@steverocco1141 no problem
Wait I thought the dlc couldn't be played in single player
It can, people are skipping a beat on Commander Mode being a complete Start and End narrative. DLC is playable through normal "practice" mode
Maps are too big in my opinion. The design is great but it’s not for 5 officers. The maps should be smaller and more detailed
anyone else having performance issues
I cant use mod any more :(
This game is so fuckin fun
Hey, could you please react to the "Ready or Not" OST? I would really appreciate it!
Using NIght Vision on those Beautifull Maps is a sin :-) - You loose so much "beauty"
i dont know why but ue5 performs better than ue4 for me
imho this dlc was lackluster.
Yeah, I installed the game again to check the update but your video made me uninstall it lmao nothing changed, plus no balaclava fuck that
Into music is used in a hentai game 💀
ONO
How do you know💀
