i attach the skeletal mesh in the viewport but my character is not doing the animation, instead he is t-posing. And it only lets me pick him. Can you help me with this?
have you downloaded the animations as well?
@@UnrealART yeah, just like you showed in the video. I even tried importing them separately (the character and the animations)

@@assassinhitman hi, don't know if you still need an answer to that, but I just had the same problem. Basically the issue occurs with some skins. If you use the same skin he uses in the video, it will be imported in the correct aiming position
How did you get the visualizer when you selected the player controller icon? At 1:28
you mean the camera view in the corner of the viewport?
@@UnrealART yes how did that come up for you? Is there a selection to do that when I click on the player icon, it does not bring that up?
@@nathanp.3909 No I didn't do anything . you should select the character inside the level not in your content browser.
when you select the character it should pop up. you can also open up the blueprint and select the camera it self in the blueprint. just make sure that your character is in the level.
How do i add a reload animation? The parent socket makes it go all weird
My weapon after joining became larger and weighs far in the air...
I think it's too close to the camera . adjust the position in your character blueprint and you will be fine

the process is not that different. but if you want to have specific reload and other animations for it , that's a different story

Why do I only have the idle arm animation when I open up this window? I dont have the arms that look like hes holding a weapon
you have to import the animations from mixamo as explained in the video
How do you parent the gun
using the sockets you can attach the gun to the hands, If I am getting your question correctly
whhen i parrent the mesh it does not go under the mesh. And it does not let me change sockets@@UnrealART
@@UnrealART it also isnt letting me change pockets
I don't know what is causing the problem, I have to look into it
when u aim up tho it moves the whole character
you can ignore that for now , but if it becomes a serious problem it can be fixed too
