This time, we're playing Project 8, one of my least favorite mainline Tony Hawk games. Let's pour a drink and give it a shot!

Mocap + Dynamic Anim System, they are semi procedurally generated, no other games besides THP8 and THPG have done it, it changes how your tricks look depending on the trajectory of your jump, it was really high tech for the time

he is pretty much the only skate play channel I can watch. The others are all too full on with people shouting and whooping, or just people doing speed runs, which are pretty boring to watch.

I was excited about this game when came out & I got it for the PS2. I remember I was confused how the game got worse when it was supposed to be a new game haha
i can really tell alcohol affects you 😅 and if you ever stop in a manual press left right then square it'll do a spacewalk, doesn't work in the pro skater games

I had it for Xbox 360. I really enjoyed it. The world that gradually opened up was cool. I also liked those random trick spots where you could try for amateur, pro, or sick. Some were crazy challenging, probably to a fault, but I still liked it. Was it disappointing to finally make it into Tony's Project 8 team --- which is supposed to be this awesome, globetrotting squad of skaters --- but still stay stuck in your hometown? Absolutely.
Can't believe I didn't see this until now. Just opened a bottle of Ripasso, time to enjoy some quality Rad Rat content.

I like it, feels more like a non-physical hang-out sesh. And tbh, I like project 8, until I got stuck at a certain point and stopped playing it as a teenager.

What made me love this game were the animations being a massive leap from older gen THPS titles and playing online with others. So many summer days spent relaxing and vibing with the game.

I'm just goin to say it, Nail the trick is a fun addition to the game to be more creative in your combos/lines.
hey! Before you continue the playthrough check out the official patches in rpcs3, it makes the game run at 60fps! With no cutscenes bugs, no physics bugs!

This was the final THPS game I bought, it had been going downhill for a long time but this was the nail in the coffin for me

I grew up with the PS2 version and I was always quite fond of it.
Honestly it is better than the absolute mess that is the "next gen" version, and it was good enough for 12-year old me. Shaba Games did a decent job with it. Neversoft botched their main version.

I looked it up and Tony Hawk’s Project 8 for the original Xbox is listed as ‘playable’ in the xemu emulator if you want to play that version on your PC too.

This did come out on PS2. AndyTHPS has done a playthrough of it is the only reason I know lol.
This game was way better on the ps2 than ps3. I never liked the engine for the ps3 version
Tony Hawk's Project 8 is the only Tony Hawk game of the main series I have not played and I never beaten Tony Hawk's Proving Ground on Xbox 360 (I no longer have an Xbox 360 though). EDIT: I also forgot THPS5 also exists which I never played either and will never want to play but Project 8 is the one I am most least familiar with like I know nothing about Project 8 but I know that the PS2/Xbox version is more like the PS2 Tony Hawk games than the PS3/Xbox 360 version.
