I lost my craving for alcohol 4 months ago. I know now what you mean. People find it hard to believe that someone could live a clean life. You'd think clean living would be default. The opposite seems to be true. Having bad habits, and immorality has become the accepted norm. It doesn't take much effort to be a top tier person in this era. It's kind of sad actually.

I am some of these things..but as an older person I grew and think a little different then I did in my prime. My kids and my significant other are in this life together with me. I’m 25 and working on myself, haven’t had a drink in a few weeks but I’ve been working out, boxing, taking amino acids and creatine every day with a gallon of water. Feeling 100% and after the gym when I spent my energy I’ll get home to my gf cooking and I sit and read for an hour. 2023 is gonna be different I can feel it 😁
Edit: I’ve also went from having no friends for a year to making a close friend that has opened up new doors. He works as a Real Estate agent here in New England, and has opened a brokerage in Florida and has been helping me get my sh!t together to level up my life. We celebrate wins together, bounce new business ideas around, look at new showings and complex’s to buy. We both are on mission and the company makes it easier and more rewarding.

@@filalz6488 just try being out more, work on conversation skills and try conversations with people. Try to find common ground or interests. I met my friend at a bar, he was working on some contracts and I ask him about them, sparked a convo and worked from there. We were never really taught how engage with strangers and make friends so it takes some mental awareness to begin and continue. It’s hard a few times but practice helps. You can do it man!

Where can I learn more bout eating better and supplements you mentioned? Personally, I'm pushing for lean over muscle mass.. appreciate and input.
@@phabeondominguez5971 creatine helps with explosive workouts and helps gain lean muscle mass. While taking it you’ll gain afew pounds bc or water retention. For understanding supplements I usually do a general search and see what people have been using. I’ve reduced my creatine intake and do more fish, chicken(and rice lol) and do steak once or twice a week. The goal is to have a higher protein diet that contains little fats. Also to lean out I’ll have only 2 meals; breakfast and dinner, lunch being a banana and apple if I need more energy. I also have about a gallon of water a day, along with protein shake. Hit the gym every day for 2 hours, 30 mins boxing, 30 mins upper, 30 mins lower then 30 min cardio. I’m not trying to be big and muscular but to have a better defined body, with usable muscles and endurance.

i think youre right. im 27 too and came to very similar conclusions as you, especialy listening to your god given intuition, and to lookwithin for your purpose here in this life. i also learned that suffering creates strength. life is paradoxical, confusing and scary at times but its comforting to knnow that my own depression will work itself out if i simply make the right choices and persevere.

Disagree with you on alcohol part… i drink 1-2 a month and im very secure in myself. I believe you feel this way due to the working out mentality you currently have about getting your body to its peak. I was there in my life at one point but when I leveled up and stopped truly caring at all when it comes to what ANYONE thinks about me i started doing whatever i want. Regardless if friends laughed at me, family disliked etc etc… i drink seldomly because i find it fun getting drunk once and awhile.. simple, nothing more to it nothing about me being socially scared or not being secure etc etc but hey to each their own..

The 10th thing - not being controlled by fear or shame is exceedingly hard, especially for those with past trauma. Not being controlled by fear or shame happens when you accept the world as it is, not as you wished/hoped it would be. Trauma traps you in a place where you idealize what reality should be to protect your hurt self. Kill the boy inside and become the man who accepts things as they truly are on your terms. I've recently moved past what I have gone through, hopefully all others can too.
