I do agree with him when he mentioned how school holds boys down. I dealt with it when my son was in 5th grade (2002ish)...and his Language Arts 25-yo New Teacher gave him a C- on a project of his choosing. He chose Jerry Rice...made a poster board and wrote a report. I supported but he did the work. He knew his football career inside out, and was crushed with the "C-". I met with his young new 25-year-old teacher...she said that boys need to choose another figure other than sports...I said really, "So are girls being told they can no longer write about horses?" No answer, it didn't help it was a difficult year and definitely killed his enthusiasm about putting effort into a report.
SAT scores have proven males do better in Math, while females do better in English. Males are more left-brain thinkers and females are more right-brained thinkers. Michael Gurian’s books are about Neuroscience, a topic in find fascinating. He’s here on YT. But I think in your case, the teacher didn’t know who the subject was, so that meant more work for her to research him for accuracy. And her youth/inexperience likely also played into it. And if I we’re you, I would have gone to bat for him, too. Most females, myself included, don’t take an interest in football unless the men in their lives do. I have no clue who Jim Rice is…lol. Females are more adaptable to men, but I’ve never heard of a man doing things females tend to enjoy, like making scrap books. There was one exception that I know about….Rosy Greer loved to knit!
Wow how the education system tried to demoralise my son he was a lovely young man enjoyed education and was an A+ student top score in yr 8 exams the yr 9 maths teacher was less knowledgeable than in him in subjects which drove the arrogance of the teacher to ridicule my sons dreams and aspirations he mooked him in class and made him sit in the middle of the class with all the students placed in a U shape around him he had a clicker and would click it in his face It took me 8months to get to the top of the food chain in tge edu hiracy system when I finally spoke with the principles they put the teacher through a youth interaction program Only to return to the school 6 months later with a bigger vendetta he ended up bashing a year11 student and got diss missed By that time my son lost all faith in male educators but luckily through sporting coaches and parent support he ended up home schooling He's now a apprentice Deisiel Macanick kicking goals

Your son, even though he’s grown, may benefit from some Trauma Informed Care to discuss any aftermath pain he may be holding inside. Men tend to do that because of the societal teachings of “take it like a man,” as if a male doesn’t feel pain, let alone show it. They are taught to bottle it. (Or they take out on others like the teacher did.) Eventually, they develop and/or die from stress-related illnesses. Stress causes all kinds of Auto-Immune Disorders, whereby the body turns on itself. Drs. Bessel van der Kolk and Gabor Mate are leading experts on Trauma.
That may have happened 20 years ago but this breaks my heart, honestly. Masculinity is being demonised to the extent where it’s almost like a societal subconscious to destroy anything that’s perceived as masculinity. Boys can’t grow up to be men and be the superhero’s of society and their families, it’s all being eradicated. My heart bleeds for my generation.

This was an amazing talk. I just came across Justin in the last month, and have been watching impact theory for years. I was getting ready for a bit of a clash on some things, but this right here is what we need more of! 2 successful people, with open minds, going deeper on what could've been left at surface level topics and drill down to the core of where those beliefs are at their base, and come out with a mutual respect. I can relate to this. My kids mom lost all respect for me after she got her nursing degree and makes more money then me. Sad part is I worked 3 jobs while in active addiction to support her while she was in school. But crap happens and it's time for me to turn the tables again.

I too spent years in an environment that was brutal and shaped me into a man. It was called being an Airborne Ranger. All young men need to experience a huge challenge in their lives in order to become a monster and then to tame that monster through the implementation of personal values, goals, and service.

I subscribed because I like the confidence of Mr. Bilyeu without defaulting to tiresome arrogance and aggression. Too many interviewers are pedaling cartoonish personalities for views. i think every person can benefit from listening to non-judgmental, open-minded conversation. That's where the true salesmanship of Mr. Bilyeu is so evident and yet still welcome. He's worth buying into as an influencer.
Waller is a HORRIBLE toxic person. His energy is so disrespectful and fragile when interacting with women. These toxic dudes only act civil and respectful when talking to men.
Justin Waller seems like a good, genuine, kind hearted, authentic person. He is showing a great example for young men on how to love their life. It’s important for men to understand that life will present so many challenges and hardships but men have to stay strong and withstand this so that they can come out strong and achieve success. Women only cheat for someone "higher" If shes in a superficial relationship. Her relationship is not even real, its just safety reasons, fear of being alone, convenient, etc If a woman really loves a man, she wont cheat. The mistake people believe is that, they think a woman is in love, because she is married and has kids to a man. But thats not true. So many women settle for guys they dont love, in fear of being alone, or he could have a good income, to look after her and the kids. Social media has opened the window for women to actually find someone out of there area. That their compatible with. But i agree with this chap. Women should be patient before rushing into a relationship in the first place. And it does disgust me also that they are having a double dip after deciding to settling down. To many people are not playing around when they should, in their 20's. This will give them wisdom and life experience in what they want in a partner. Instant gratification fuels the generation now. If you get married and have babies, you are the attention for that moment. When I was 24, I was acting up to people who were older than me. I was disrespectful and they put me in my place with aggression and violence, it worked well enough for me to develop respect for other people and their right to a peaceful life free from my disturbance. So their aggression helped me learn to respect someone's boundaries. Too much violence would have been unnecessary, a little violence without harsh consequences at that age was just right to shift my trajectory on a path of humbleness and learning to become a better individual.
When I was 15 I punched a guys face for talking a whole lot of shit to my friend and my school in general. I identified with my school at the time because I guess it’s that tribal instinct to protect your territory that you represent. Safe to say after that punch he started being docile and humble and learnt to respect people

I don't necessarily think that there is a gap. I feel like these two people have a different way of viewing the world. Tom is more theoretical, and Justin is practical. Not to say one is better than the other but I personally relate to Justin. Also it will be much easier to apply the things he says to my life and get actual results.

Anyway, the past 3 years, I’ve been very depressed and dealt with heavy anxiety due to my past actions that disappointed the ones that mattered at the time. And I believed that, I would never amount to anything. Fortunately, a real life situation ( nothing deadly ) changed my way of thinking last year. For the better, and have done the best I can to be a better man/human being. Started my TH-cam and rebranded my clothing brand. Most importantly, embracing who I am. And accepting the accountability and responsibility of my own inna real way. Point is: once I’ve done that, I slowly seen haters coming on a rise.

Every relationship should be a partnership. And each one looks different. Both my husband and I grew up without fathers with very different outcomes. I BECAME the "man" of the house and he became the kindest most nurturing human I've ever met. And we have swapped "traditional" gender roles and it works so well for us. He's stronger physically, and I'm stronger emotionally by nature, but by having to take on these roles outside of our "nature" we are both more well rounded. we are mutually valued, respected and ultimately a stronger team. I am decisive and ambitious and he is grounding and observant. I have the space and power to do whatever I want to do but if he says a hard no.... I trust that he probably has a reason for our best interests. And I think that works both ways despite gender. as long as it is balanced, we'll communicated and consensual... go nuts.

The Father vs Kid thing...that is a very interesting topic. I find I'm even more driven because I have kids. I find I'm capable of being disciplined even more. I found that being a parent (Dad) is the part of my life that I enjoy the most. Did I lose space? Time? yes. But that also happened when I got married. That is to me, besides the point. Kids further make me enjoy serving my family and being the last one to be served. Getting a compliment is enough. The other part is the relation...the love, the joy, the doubts, the coaching, the learning. But to me, the greatest thing is finding what makes them click and driving them towards unlocking their potential. Blank canvas...it's not about if they will make money if they will "successful"....! What I ask myself: did I make a good job at passing them good values and morals? Beyond that, did I steer them and helped them unlock their potential? That is what brings confidence, sparks drive, and paves their way into choices that make sense. The world is better off if people can use their talents!

Think of the extreme end When they hear discipline or aggression. The role of the father is so important and it is because they are not soft like the mother. I never understood this until I had kids. I previously thought like Tom, like all of that is not necessary, however parenting theory and actually raising kids are two different things.

Plus, it's good for kids to understand what makes them click but also what makes them get angry, so they have a chance early one to learn how to manage that anger and how to leverage from what makes them click.
Excellent discussion. This triggered a thought in my mind. A common misconception is that strength equals or requires aggression. True strength does not require aggression. The only way to be truly meek is to be strong. Strength means standing firm on the things that matter, but firmness should not turn to aggression. Sometimes the weak resort to aggression to make up for lack of strength. Aggression can be a way to create the faux impression of strength to those who are unable to see through the surface. Aggression can be a way to instill fear, but true strength instills respect without the need to resort to fear tactics. I think courage and humility are characteristics of the truly strong.

The type of man that society needs is being interviewed by the type of man that society currently thinks they want. I'm glad that my father reflected the man on the left. It's made me the resilient and successful person that I am. Society desperately needs more strong men that aren't afraid to champion the qualities that make men so valuable to the overall equation. It's incredibly one-sided at the moment, and it's led to countless societal issues.

I’ve seen family members go through the pre divorce, getting shouted at by the wife after few years to trying get custody of the kids ,it isn’t a great time for sure.
“Money is not going to change how you feel about yourself.” - Very interesting statement from Tom, when he shares about having a lot more decimal points in his bank account. “I still have the same insecurities I had 90 seconds ago.” Wow. While I am grateful for abundance, I too have experienced that when the stress of lack of money was gone, my mind was now worrying about different matters. Lol, as Moby said in an interview I watched with him, having gone from abject poverty into worldwide notoriety and abundance “There is no escaping the human condition.” I think the quest for meaning and for living a meaningful and fulfilling life Is the quest of this life experience.
One of my favorite papers I wrote in grad school (MA in special education) was titled, The Condundrum of Too Many Choices, and even back then (20 years ago) it was clear that just creating more choice is not only not the point, it actually makes us less satisfied with what we choose. Too many choices is counterproductive to happiness and fulfillment, and probably productivity. We just need one, better choice, or, optimally, 3-5 choices is the sweet spot for humans.
This! Have a plethora of options (choices) can easily bring about the feeling of “what if” with regards to the other choices that weren’t chosen especially if you are not getting the expected results after making a choice. Having limited options can put you in a mindset of “well, it was that or nothing. So whatever results I get, it is what it is.”

Brene Brown's work helped to demonstrate what I think is true about vulnerability ultimately being powerful. I think Tom comes off much sexier talking from the heart, relaxed back, than Justin getting tense and flexing over the table in defense of his friend.
I don’t like how Tom speaks from a top position at Justin. Like he discovers more about life than him. But I, and a lot of people here I think, can feel how Justin is powerful, get his life, jobs, mental frame togheter, better than Tom does. From my opinion he’s boundet too much with his wife, saying that’s impossible they’ll divorce. But a mature male knows life is unfair and unpredictable, and he exposes himself on an incredible perspective struggle in the side of the business added to what might be the feelings side. After listening with an open mind, as an independent woman with no particular religious affiliation, i am pleasantly surprised how much i agree with him. Peterson too. Once i could look past all the scrupture quoting he really is a voice of reason in this craziness weve become. Peterson talks about the concept of in order to be a hero there must be a well controlled monster inside and its very true. I've always loved watching Tom! I found out about him when he visited the Bahamas to speak at an OWN event. At first I misunderstood his guest today, Justin Waller, but this conversation helped me to understand him a bit more. As he said, he's not necessarily "Red Pill", but a genuine advocate for young men in the way that many people are not today. I think that's why he and even Andrew Tate are so misunderstood. In some ways what they say seems to be a conversation against women, but it's really a conversation about pushing men to become the optimal version of themselves. It just happens that much of that conversation involves women, because when it boils down to it, much of what drives men is their desire to connect in some way with the opposite sex. As everyone already has already said, this was a really great conversation.

At that 20 mins mark Justin said something that I have always had an issue with in my life. I'm not a yeller but if I am talking about something that I am passionate about I can get fired up but that does not mean that I am yelling. There are so many people that are unable to tell the difference so I end up just not talking to many people. There's a lot of peacocking in this video from both guys, and it's not setting a good example - it is way too much to the side of materialism and status, and less on you as a person. However, not every guy can afford a Lambo, or be a literal billionaire. Here's the thing: not every guy even wants those things. Materialism is meaningless after a certain point. How much is enough? Enough is to provide the daily material needs for your family, and for your wife not to worry about the next six months to a year worth of cost of living. If you can build retirement funds beyond that runway of a year, nothing wrong with that. All about protecting the family from financial problems - it's all good. Beyond that, people can lose their balance and it becomes about status, about the Lambo (literally, in this video), about accumulation of wealth for the sake of accumulation. It gets ugly at that point, like a naturally beautiful woman trying to somehow "improve" beyond her natural beauty via lip fillers, implants, botox etc. Human nature can perversely chase the extremes, and being a good man (IMHO) is not about that. I even think you probably agree with my sentiment here. I just took OP's sentiment as being a good one - not to put ALL our self worth in provision. We could lose our earning ability, we could lose our health. We need to not put all of our chips on one thing.

I do agree with him when he mentioned how school holds boys down. I dealt with it when my son was in 5th grade (2002ish)...and his Language Arts 25-yo New Teacher gave him a C- on a project of his choosing. He chose Jerry Rice...made a poster board and wrote a report. I supported but he did the work. He knew his football career inside out, and was crushed with the "C-". I met with his young new 25-year-old teacher...she said that boys need to choose another figure other than sports...I said really, "So are girls being told they can no longer write about horses?" No answer, it didn't help it was a difficult year and definitely killed his enthusiasm about putting effort into a report.
SAT scores have proven males do better in Math, while females do better in English. Males are more left-brain thinkers and females are more right-brained thinkers. Michael Gurian’s books are about Neuroscience, a topic in find fascinating. He’s here on YT.
But I think in your case, the teacher didn’t know who the subject was, so that meant more work for her to research him for accuracy. And her youth/inexperience likely also played into it. Your son, even though he’s grown, may benefit from some Trauma Informed Care to discuss any aftermath pain he may be holding inside. Men tend to do that because of the societal teachings of “take it like a man,” as if a male doesn’t feel pain, let alone show it. They are taught to bottle it. (Or they take out on others like the teacher did.)
Eventually, they develop and/or die from stress-related illnesses. Stress causes all kinds of Auto-Immune Disorders, whereby the body turns on itself. Drs. Bessel van der Kolk and Gabor Mate are leading experts on Trauma.
That may have happened 20 years ago but this breaks my heart, honestly. Masculinity is being demonised to the extent where it’s almost like a societal subconscious to destroy anything that’s perceived as masculinity. Too many interviewers are pedaling cartoonish personalities for views. i think every person can benefit from listening to non-judgmental, open-minded conversation. When I was 24, I was acting up to people who were older than me. I was disrespectful and they put me in my place with aggression and violence, it worked well enough for me to develop respect for other people and their right to a peaceful life free from my disturbance. So their aggression helped me learn to respect someone's boundaries. Too much violence would have been unnecessary, a little violence without harsh consequences at that age was just right to shift my trajectory on a path of humbleness and learning to become a better individual.

Every relationship should be a partnership. And each one looks different. Both my husband and I grew up without fathers with very different outcomes. I BECAME the "man" of the house and he became the kindest most nurturing human I've ever met. And we have swapped "traditional" gender roles and it works so well for us. He's stronger physically, and I'm stronger emotionally by nature, but by having to take on these roles outside of our "nature" we are both more well rounded. we are mutually valued, respected and ultimately a stronger team.
I am decisive and ambitious and he is grounding and observant. I have the space and power to do whatever I want to do but if he says a hard no.... I trust that he probably has a reason for our best interests.

I’m a woman and I agree 100% with what Justin Waller is saying and I don’t view his views and red pill as the same though there is overlap. This was a very nuanced discussion that most people are too lazy or too traumatized to have. Loved it!
The Father vs Kid thing...that is a very interesting topic. I find I'm even more driven because I have kids. I find I'm capable of being disciplined even more. I found that being a parent (Dad) is the part of my life that I enjoy the most. Did I lose space? Time? yes. But that also happened when I got married. That is to me, besides the point. Kids further make me enjoy serving my family and being the last one to be served. Getting a compliment is enough.
The other part is the relation...the love, the joy, the doubts, the coaching, the learning.
But to me, the greatest thing is finding what makes them click and driving them towards unlocking their potential. Blank canvas...it's not about if they will make money if they will "successful"....! What I ask myself: did I make a good job at passing them good values and morals? Beyond that, did I steer them and helped them unlock their potential? That is what brings confidence, sparks drive, and paves their way into choices that make sense. The world is better off if people can use their talents!

I previously thought like Tom, like all of that is not necessary, however parenting theory and actually raising kids are two different things.

Excellent discussion. This triggered a thought in my mind. A common misconception is that strength equals or requires aggression. True strength does not require aggression. The only way to be truly meek is to be strong. Strength means standing firm on the things that matter, but firmness should not turn to aggression. Sometimes the weak resort to aggression to make up for lack of strength. Aggression can be a way to create the faux impression of strength to those who are unable to see through the surface. Aggression can be a way to instill fear, but true strength instills respect without the need to resort to fear tactics. I think courage and humility are characteristics of the truly strong.

While I am grateful for abundance, I too have experienced that when the stress of lack of money was gone, my mind was now worrying about different matters. One of my favorite papers I wrote in grad school (MA in special education) was titled, The Condundrum of Too Many Choices, and even back then (20 years ago) it was clear that just creating more choice is not only not the point, it actually makes us less satisfied with what we choose. Too many choices is counterproductive to happiness and fulfillment, and probably productivity. We just need one, better choice, or, optimally, 3-5 choices is the sweet spot for humans.
This! Have a plethora of options (choices) can easily bring about the feeling of “what if” with regards to the other choices that weren’t chosen especially if you are not getting the expected results after making a choice.
Having limited options can put you in a mindset of “well, it was that or nothing. So whatever results I get, it is what it is.”
Now can you imagine how it is like for women who feel like they have many thousands of choices.
It’s called the paradox of choice and was coined since a time when Ancient Greek philosophers like Aristotle and Socrates lived

Brene Brown's work helped to demonstrate what I think is true about vulnerability ultimately being powerful. I think Tom comes off much sexier talking from the heart, relaxed back, than Justin getting tense and flexing over the table in defense of his friend.
I don’t like how Tom speaks from a top position at Justin. Like he discovers more about life than him. But I, and a lot of people here I think, can feel how Justin is powerful, get his life, jobs, mental frame togheter, better than Tom does. From my opinion he’s boundet too much with his wife, saying that’s impossible they’ll divorce. But a mature male knows life is unfair and unpredictable, and he exposes himself on an incredible perspective struggle in the side of the business added to what might be the feelings side. I think Justin here was so patienced and mature to not overcome these believes yet to respect as well his interlocutor and he teaches us how to deal in that sotuation. Great interview

After listening with an open mind, as an independent woman with no particular religious affiliation, i am pleasantly surprised how much i agree with him. Peterson too. Once i could look past all the scrupture quoting he really is a voice of reason in this craziness weve become. Peterson talks about the concept of in order to be a hero there must be a well controlled monster inside and its very true. The slitting throats and holding babies comment was a little extreme but i heard what he meant😊

@ankurama42 wasnt particularly interested in this topic at first but i listen to alot of toms interviews and the subject of turning boys into men interests me bc i can see how modern day feminism has had a negative impact on men and the way we interact with each other now. And being a woman, its always good to see another perspective that comes from the complete opposite direction of my own.

No it wouldn't - nothing would ever get done. Everybody concentrating on being nice at the expense of a clear defined path. We are in the situation we are now because of niceness & a lack of leadership. Neither of these guys have it. I've always loved watching Tom! I found out about him when he visited the Bahamas to speak at an OWN event. At first I misunderstood his guest today, Justin Waller, but this conversation helped me to understand him a bit more. As he said, he's not necessarily "Red Pill", but a genuine advocate for young men in the way that many people are not today. I think that's why he and even Andrew Tate are so misunderstood. In some ways what they say seems to be a conversation against women, but it's really a conversation about pushing men to become the optimal version of themselves. It just happens that much of that conversation involves women, because when it boils down to it, much of what drives men is their desire to connect in some way with the opposite sex. As everyone already has already said, this was a really great conversation.

5 things I wish I knew ( and applied ) at your age.
1. Alcohol is by far one of the worst drugs out there. Save your money your health and your time. Learn how to master being confident in social surroundings and with girls, without that drink.
2. Porn and masturbation is draining your energy and messing up your dopamine system.. It makes you weak and less motivated then you "could" be.
3. What you eat matters more than anything. Your body is your temple, learn about it and act accordingly. Only trust the advice of people who live like you want to live. One prime example of who not to trust. Bill Gates. Fu*k his medical advice, and his ati-meat / bug eating agenda.
Keep your testosterone high and learn how to keep it like that.
4. Quality over quantity when it comes to friends. Cut off toxic people right away! Even family..
The only one to save is yourself. That's the best you can do for the world. Billions of humans, yet one humanity. Be - do - have! Be great, strive for greatness, and great things will be yours.
You are the king of your own kingdom. Join forces with other kings and strive together.
5. Magic is real! Find your own version of "God". Praise the earth, the sun, the fire etc etc. They are beings just like us. But on a much larger scale. Karma is real. Study the mystics. There's levels to this game. "Know thyself" Be a Jedi and fight for the good and beautiful of this world.
6. *Bonus* Seek out awesome mentors / role models. In real life and also here on the tube. Fu*k whoever is on steroids and not being real about it. Don't do steroids.

At that 20 mins mark Justin said something that I have always had an issue with in my life. I'm not a yeller but if I am talking about something that I am passionate about I can get fired up but that does not mean that I am yelling. There are so many people that are unable to tell the difference so I end up just not talking to many people. Not because I don't want to but because being stoic in my interactions means that I have detached myself from the topic at hand and have started to view it from a neutral observers perspective. which can come off as cold and insensitive.
The term yelling has been broadened to mean "speaking forcefully". Sad.
I worked for Tom and met Lisa and I know for a fact he is a genius, genuine and overall good human being. He is who he is and he only will continue to evolve and I truly hope he becomes the next Walt Disney because I believe that he can save and inspire the next generations of kids growing up. ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
Awww… the smile Waller makes when he says he enjoys spending time with his girls. I only have sons, I wonder how it feels to have a daughter. I wonder if Waller has any boys? And how he would speak about them. Having children is the best feeling in the world!!!
This sit down was a prime example of Theory vs Practical, justin being practical the arguements this guy is having is in my experience, not relatable but i dont have the findings to say he was wrong but every single thing justin say i can relate 110%

This gentleman is a good example of someone who reveals himself in his lack of cohesive discourse. I think he struggles to conversate outside of his echo chamber. I admire Tom’s willingness to bring him on the show and the tactful manner with which Tom handled himself.
He's not smart. He's an agressive hard worker.
You should see some other podcasts with Justin too. He is very knowledgeable. It might pleasantly surprise you 😊

There is so much to learn from in this interview. Psychology, relationship, money, the reality of the world. This discussion is so deep and I'm glad these successful men are able to share this with others. The world need strong men. Strong men can make the world a better place for women. First, go and research, narcissistic, personality disorder, then research Abusive Guru‘s then research cult leaders, mixing truth with lies, what is strong about that? A lot of those types appear to have strong debating skills, it’s irrelevant.
Don’t put all your selfvalue into “providing” material things. If something happens to you someday and you can’t do it, you will not know who you are. Being a father and husband is a lot more. You can also be a guide, a safe haven and a disciplinary. Don’t make the same mistake as the precious generations.

That sounds very nice in theory, but for us as men being able to provide is the way we show our love. Women show their love with nurture, care and affection. That’s why together we become the best combo possible.

@@AxelAxe I agree 100% that a man should materially support his family - even literally 100% of all bills (as I do). However, there's a balance to be struck. There's a lot of peacocking in this video from both guys, and it's not setting a good example - it is way too much to the side of materialism and status, and less on you as a person. Every guy can be the best guy he can be physically, spiritually, mentally. We don't need stacks of money to improve those three things. However, not every guy can afford a Lambo, or be a literal billionaire. Here's the thing: not every guy even wants those things. Materialism is meaningless after a certain point. How much is enough? Enough is to provide the daily material needs for your family, and for your wife not to worry about the next six months to a year worth of cost of living. If you can build retirement funds beyond that runway of a year, nothing wrong with that. All about protecting the family from financial problems - it's all good. Beyond that, people can lose their balance and it becomes about status, about the Lambo (literally, in this video), about accumulation of wealth for the sake of accumulation. It gets ugly at that point, like a naturally beautiful woman trying to somehow "improve" beyond her natural beauty via lip fillers, implants, botox etc. Human nature can perversely chase the extremes, and being a good man (IMHO) is not about that.
I even think you probably agree with my sentiment here. I just took OP's sentiment as being a good one - not to put ALL our self worth in provision. We could lose our earning ability, we could lose our health. We need to not put all of our chips on one thing.
