Any idea if they will be offering a performance update on the Model S Long Range? If they could get 1/4 mile times down into the low 10's that would be a great performance alternative to the Plaid...not saying its slow as is though😂

Great review. Appreciate the honest commentary. Have you driven the S in snow? Any thoughts on its handling in such environments, especially uphill/downhill?
Last weekend I was in R-2 Cali chain controls with PSAS4s on my MSP. CHP was turning cars back, people on the side of the road were getting chains put on. The cop just said to me, “Dual motor? Have a good night,” and waved me on. It made the pass like a champ, unplowed and leading the pack over fresh snow. No drama.
If it wasn't for the fact Tesla supplies the UK with China built cars I absolutely NEVER would have bought one. But they do, and as a result we don't have anywhere NEAR as much trouble with 2021 onwards cars!
If you don’t mind me asking, how much is your insurance compared to your model Y? I’ve been considering getting a Model S myself, currently on a model 3 SR+ and my wife has a Model Y performance.
So how much was your insurance? You kept saying it's expensive but not revealing the price. I'm from the UK and a year insurance for the MS is £1100 now. My first year £700
why these high technology cars down have alarms tell you somebody is breaking into your car and why they haven't made tint that can be changed with a press of button ??? they keep making cars go faster but we need them to go father range. Don't understand why they odin have blind spot maker I was looking for the when I test drove in Atlanta
I have the exact same vehicle as you and took delivery in Feb, 2022. This was my third Tesla (2016 S, 2017 X). I thought I would love this car, but am ambivalent now. I do like the Yoke-fun and comfortable. I must have gotten a "bad" one in regards to battery. I stayed at 405 miles "fully charged" for about 5 months, but noticed it dropped significantly and by 10 months, was down to 373 fully charged, despite only charging to 80 percent each evening. Not having physical buttons and relying on the screen to activate features is distracting and I think a safety issue while driving. One really needs to use the voice activation to operate features otherwise you might get into trouble. (eg. going into the menus just to open the glovebox, for example). I have lots of complaints about the car but it is fun to drive. I believe this will be my last Tesla. I think I'm going back to a gasoline vehicle in the future-cheaper, more functional, more versatile, cheaper to insure, less property tax, and in North Carolina-avoid the electric vehicle additional registration fee. I've enjoyed the ride, time to return home.
Thank you for writing the response. As a former Tesla Refresh owner, I appreciate you having input as well. Some of the things the author talked/disliked about the car is nothing new for old Tesla owners. Still very on the fence about moving up to a newer MS.

Tesla feels you should just be happy they allowed you to pay a large sum of money to own their product and stop complaining. Since most owners accepts these issues they may be right.
True. But so many big companies are deciding they can get away without giving good customer service. It's a sad state we are in, and the democrats are the root cause of the bad attitudes. Look at how they are ruining big cities. Stop voting for dems.

No 3-year A/C desiccant changes? No 6250 mile tire rotations? No annual brake service to lubricate calipers? Man, you love neglecting recommended services and pretending Tesla's are maintenance free. By the way, get ready to do 2 oil and filter changes for the drive units because they love to say these things are filled for life, but we know that's a lie, along with the coolant that breaks down over time and loses its corrosion protection. And while you are at it, please add some wiper fluid! OMG, how people lie!!

is that true, new Model S' have the horn in the center? Are the ventilated seats any good?
Not sure about the horn part but the seat ventilation is 7/10. For comparison I think the f-150 22 seat ventilation is better a 9/10
The brandnew SLR I drove a week ago had still no horn under the airbag. Seat ventilation was very strong almost to strong above setting 1.
