    The Lenovo isn't the only thing that's slim. Looking good man!

    I've had mine for a week now and love it. Surprisingly quiet during gaming in quiet mode. I've had a steam deck and this is better in almost every way. The price is high (imo) but I managed to get a refurbed one for about 50% or retail.

      Where did you get a refurb from?

    • @vongdong10
      @vongdong10 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Enlightenation got it off an auction site. If you're in Australia then keep tabs on Gray's Online.
      Pita though. Could have gotten it for much cheaper but it has this thing where if someone bids in the last 10mins then they add another 10mins. Keeps repeating until no more bids.

    Can you remember when OLED was only afforded to high-end televisions. Thank goodness we're seeing more and more affordable monitors and laptops fitted with OELD panels. I love OLED, despite its low average brightness, the contrast ratio for me, and, consequently, the black levels are second-to-none. Ha, Im a Sci-fi fan so watching, say, "2001 A Space Odyssey" on this laptop outweighs the tech specs, screen size, and even speed of the cpu and gpu. Although..... a nice little bit of EMU gaming on Cemu or Supermodel3 wouldn't go amiss. 😁

      My 2017 Alienware OLED laptop doesn't have burn in. 7 years no burn in.
      Although now it's primarily hooked up to an external monitor.
      I'm looking to replace it and it's kind of slim pickings to get all the features I currently have.
      My 13in OLED 13 R3 Alienware has touchscreen as well, replaceable ram, 2 ssd slots, wifi slot. The Lenovo isn't touchscreen and the ram is fixed to the board. Not a deal breaker though.

      @schassismx3115 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      there is, it's a $50 upgrade but it's only available for the 7840hs processor. For some reason, it doesn't let you do it on the 7940hs (not a huge loss it's only a 100mhz difference, only thing you really lose is the ability to undervolt).

    Nice review. For me the biggest drawback of this laptop is the lack of USB 4.0 or Thunderbolt 4 support. Some laptops activated the USB 4.0 via BIOS update but I doubt Lenovo will support this feature via BIOS update.

    Thanks for the review! I would also recommend you to do some vocalization and tonalization excersies for the voiceover! The script and editing is great, but there's some feeling of "shininess" and a bit of fear of camera in the voice that can be received as lack of confidence in the info that's delivered, and the static monolithic tone thorugh the video makes it feel a bit like if its an AI reading it. I struggled with similar issues a handful of years ago, and a couple of weeks of daily excersises fixed that for good! Best luck with the channel!

    Is it dual sides or single sided M2 drive?

    • @TechWithSean

      1TB is probably just the max they ship from the factory, a 4TB should work fine. The slot with the OS drive can only do single sided, but the empty slot can do a double sided SSD. (The one I used and linked is single sided though)

Currently, I use a Chromebook for portability. But, it's Intel based, so, I can run Debian Linux apps on it. From my experience, 16 gb ram is great, 8 gb sucks, 32 gb can almost be overkill. In the past I had upgraded a previous system from 8 GB to 32 gb and got wonderfully improved performance.

    3:2 aspect ratio and OLED is not a good combo.. Tons of games will force black bars which will make a 14.5” even smaller and is not good on OLED panel burn in risk keeping one area of the screen so bright with pixels off on the black bars 😕
