Hey Ben! Thanks for the video! Perfect timing lol. I just got my first car, a 2019 Honda civic si about a month ago. I literally was just trying to think of the first mods I should do to make it stand out. I was thinking about either Enkei Tm7’s or Konig Ampliform wheels. I was also thinking about an exhaust because she’s quiet under 3k. I don’t know which one I’ll do first, but thanks for giving some of your idea’s👍🏾.
Hey Ben, nicely done video about a tastefully modded ride. I have a new BRZ on it’s way to me and as you mentioned in your opening statement, you have managed to get my creative juices into full gear. Thanks for that… Cheers, Dave
@@Amoney7382 hey … It was a cancelled order and I only had to wait 5 days for delivery. I couldn’t be happier with the new generation, the car is lively and a total kick to drive. Well worth any wait it might take to get your hands on one. Cheers …
Really love this one! I think its good to be opinionated, it makes you stand out and 99% of people are too afraid to share publicly. I made a similar video to this, but a more general "Top DIY Mods", and yours is way better. Keep it up!
question on your exhaust set up: you're using a gen1 header right? Have you noticed a power loss with it? Since the gen1 arent optimized for the gen2 cars. do you plan on getting a gen 2 header? Also, i really enjoy the videos, content and car! i also came from a Focus ST to a 22 GR86
I have actually noticed that the car is a good bit quicker than it used to be, but I’m not too sure about what the header has done for the car. I’ll ask my friend who made them what he thinks. Thank you!
This video was so short we need more! loll. Definitely helpful though, i actually ordered springs for my car and only bc my car has active dampening suspension or whatever and that feature goes away with coilover:( But when is your consistent schedule coming out?? Have to wait forever for new vids 😂 *jokes*
Hey Ben, great video! I know you used to have a focus st. I have a focus myself and I'm really torn as to what wheels I should get for it. Would you have any recommendations?
Honestly that was my biggest challenge with that car because of the bolt pattern. If I were to do it again differently, I’d have chosen either rotiforms or enkei rpf1’s
You should swap that yellow interior lights for a nicer white Led ones. It is super easy (T10 W5W x2) and they give the car a modern look inside. In fact thay should have alteady come as Led. And the same with the two reverse lights on the rear diffuser. Easy too, in Led it looks so much better
yes! I have a gen 1 front pipe from TSUDO (res, cat delete) for my gen 2 car. I ended up picking it up used from a friend and figured i would just try it and see. I have a minor rattle from the metal bracket, but i just need to go back under and re-assess the fitment there or add a little rubber pad around it. It's probably because i didnt line it up perfectly.
Ben the car looks amazing mate I can remember when u picked it up it looked a bit plain & boring but now my friend u have a beast love your videos mate right from the st keep going mate from the good old UK 🇬🇧 👍
Off course everyone will take there own route in the mod scene, but this video can help the new players in the game. I did have suspension upgrades, but didn't lower the car. With my wheel and tire combination lowering is not possible. Only option if I would want to lower is going widebody, but how the car is right now with all my other mods = I don't feel the need. Your channel has been an inspiration source and just general fun for me to watch, since way back in the Focus days. I always like to hear and see your passion and dedication that you bring in every video. Keep up the good stuff and stay driven. #TrueOG
I have a 2007 BMW 328i E90 for my first car and I hope this helps me decide on what upgrades to do I mainly want to keep it simple when that too aggressive and and I'm thinking this video figure out what to do first right now I'm working on maintenance stuff on it
@@BenLovrien the gen 2 cars dont gain anything with an intake mod. open airbox causes more hot air and higher IAT, so less power. the most you can do / need to do is remove the carbon filter and go with a high flow filter like K&N. at most is 5hp at peak. Check Stratified Auto's youtube page for reference.
You’re so underrated!
Really loving how this build is turning out. Can’t wait to start my build! Your content holds me over for now
Thank you!😊

Cool stance. Unfortunately all I have money for after buying a GR86 is plasti dip 😆
Hey, we do what we can do😂
Love the vid man new to the channel as well
Thank you! Welcome!😊
A filter on a stick is usually my go to .. keeps the butt dyno happy

vertex makes a nice wheel for those that keeps all the airbag and controls

This is the beginning of it!😁 and yeah don’t get rid of the active dampening!

Trust me, me too😂
So these coilovers don't need camber bolts?

Man that first car is like freedom, goodluck!
@@aaden4888 yeah hopefully when im old enough I can get my dad's one free im really hoping it survives until then

do the first gen front pipes work on the 2nd gen?
I believe so!

also a intake so the car breathes better 👍
Once they come out with one I’m all over it! Haha

ps Ben how do we get an esr t shirt in the UK?
I think you can still buy one from their website. Here try this link studioesr.com

Always enjoy reading your comments my man. Appreciate you!
Get a vertex steering whee made for these cars! They have the air bag too
Oh for real? Can you link that actually?😅😂
@@BenLovrien ftspeed has carbon wheels too that fit (17+ gen 1 steering wheels are the same as the gen 2). Pretty sure that is what Chris Borges has.
How bout replacing the amber side markers to white?
I actually wanna keep the amber ones. People in Japan swap the clear ones for the amber ones😂
Dude has put so much money into this 86 that he should have just gotten a Supra
Wait till I post videos on it again and you see how it is now😂😂
Looks good
hey, before Cameron Alford gives away his FRS Can we see it side by side with the BRZ?
I was just at his place minutes ago I wish I saw this😂

More is less!😊
What ESR wheel is that. It’s not on their website.
It’s the LP5, go under forged wheels, then 2 piece
why do people hate on the power though 230 Hp is not bad:( I plan on getting a 2023 gr86. do you think 230 horsepower is enough to have fun ?
Ohhhhh one million percent dude this car is insanely fun. You absolutely won’t regret it.
PS: if 230 isn’t enough in the future just boost it and make 320whp on 9lbs of boost. Thing is super light too so it’s like a go kart.
What about Nates VN content?
I moved to AZ 6 months ago so no more VN stuff
No intake Ben??
Nobody has one yet that I know of😳

The more I see BRZs getting modded, they look WAY better than the GR86. I am waiting for my side skirts, it is excruciating.
