I picked up my new GR86 two weeks ago and I had that seat belt "chime" turned off before I pulled off the dealer's lot, lol. (I watched a video before I bought the car)
Just picked up my white BRZ today and these were the first changes I made. Thanks for the content brotha! Also ordered clear side markers to install. Plan on wrapping the roof, side mirrors and trunk in black, cant wait to get it all done. Most fun I've ever had driving in my life!
Dude!! Thank you sooo much for that seatbelt chime off trick, I've gotten irritated so many times having to turn my car completely off lol, God bless you! 🙏
Thanks for the tips! I'm hoping to get a '22 BRZ later this year... I had a 2011 Mustang GT that had the "sound tube" from the engine into the car, just behind the pedals. FIRST thing I did was rip that silly thing OUT! haha
man im working my but off waiting for this economy to come back tougether so i may build the garage of my dreams and can start my own performance shop!
The seatbelt chime hack - I was like - come on - no way - but it worked! So cool! Thanks Ben! Also changed my RPM screen too! The orange and red looks so cool together. Also cool to get a little warning color flash when to shift which of course is just a suggestion. I set mine at 3500 just to enhance my gas mileage when I am just doing daily driving.
Congrats on 1.000000 views. For us it's easy to see why;the quality of the videos, the accessibility, the humor. People keep coming back forthe videos, for you and who you are. You are a wonderful person Ben. Wish there was a way to show you even more how much I support you and the channel. Greetings from the Netherlands, #TrueOG
Hey man just came across your channel a few days ago and I’ve already seen all of your videos on the brz. I kinda wanted one before but now it’s my number one car I want right now. You’ve been doing a great job and I hope you hit it big
Did the seatbelt thing the other day in mine. i check my mail on my way home then drive across the parking lot and having the seatbelt chime is annoying as shit. I adjusted my rev settings the 2nd day i had my car. It's been helpful when I get on it I don't have to pay attention to the revs, i can watch the road and shift when it beeps at me. I have been too lazy to disable my active sound because it's cold where i am. I need to though, because i hate it. Disabled it in my GTI back in the day the 2nd day i owned it.
what are you using to record? because gahtdamn my subs woke the hell up when you cold started and drove lol. really picked up the deep rumble that usually gets clipped with most car vids i watch.
The seat belt chimes just drive me nuts! Can't figure out what they were thinking.....After you do this, has it come back, like days later or do you have to do this every so often?
I still haven’t been able to disable my hill assist and I haven’t done the seat belt chime yet but the sound generator disabled is more enjoyable for me
Hey I didn't realize you were in AZ. I live in the valley, I'd love to check out your BRZ in person because I'm absolutely fascinated with the new increased displacement they have. Definitely post up when you're going to the next meet or pavs or something!
Just got myself a new BRZ, if you talk to your dealership, they will deactivate the sound by computer so you dont have to leave the cable unplugged and just hanging out there. Your sales rep might not know, but just have them talk to their service tech.
Is the the constant seat belt reminder chime something new? I have a 2016 and the chime on my BRZ, although still annoying, will stop after about 30 seconds. As far as setting RPM for shifting and the beeping for when to shift, I would say to RTFM. I would bet that 90% of car owners never take the time to RTFM.
congrats on the views accomplishment! love the content, keep it uppp. alsoo if you ever come to florida (which is a long shot lol) i’d be totally down to see you at a ace cafe meet here :)
I don't mean to sound like your mother or anything but you should never move your car without buckling up, no matter how useless or fast you might think the occasion is. Many deadly accidents happen in those moments of negligence. Its really not worth it.
quicker fix for the seatbelt play music over it. The passenger beep eventually stops, I remember a passenger taking off a sweater and it'd' beep till it stopped after a whiiile like *aight then see what happens* this was on a 2013 model tho but probably true for current subies unless no lmao. congrats on the car. drift it and do donuts in it kinda responsibly for good luck. i've gotten lucky w meaty used Pirelli's, Falken, and Michelin sport tires + mounted for $35 each ($40 adjusted for inflation) unless you're a new grip guy then that's wassup
I literally did everything on this list before I pulled off the dealer lot. LOL Also in the dash settings the "GSI" is the gear select indicator. I turned that off. No more flashing telling me to shift when I dont want to, or showing me what gear I am in like I forgot after I physically selected the gear myself.
During some car races I've done, I've forgotten what gear I'm in (or not sure after a sloppy shift into/out of a corner) and would have liked a dashboard indicator! Because looking away from the windshield in a race is terrifying! Similarly, the flashing lights and beeping gear indicators are helpful features when you are dealing with intense on track experiences. But yeah for basic daily driving duties, probably not necessary or even wanted.
@@ragweedmakesmesneeze I do have the beep indicator on because this car seems to rev forever and I found myself short shifting when trying to push it. The gear thing, I guess I just remember and can tell by speed as well.
@@boost331 I think most of us were taught to "short shift," because it's civilized and saves gas and dad said so, etc. It was an "ear opening" experience the first time I was in a race car and discovered, that basically I had to keep a 4 cylinder Miata screaming at 5000+ rpms at all times if I wanted any hope of keeping pace! haha.
If you don’t me asking, how much did you pay for this after destination, taxes, and licensing? Because I’ve seen a lot of people paying well above msrp for these
I was out the door for 28K after taxes, fees, delivery charge, registration, and all that stuff. Friend at a dealership helped me out ordering the car back in august.
To be fair, it’s completely a base model, nothing added to it whatsoever and I’m including the $500 rebate I got with it too! But I’m very lucky to have had a dealership like that to help me out.
Seatbelt chimes are some of the worst. Coo u had that inside info to bypass it. Kooky but hey, whatever works. Wish it was just a standard thing owners can opt to turn off or not in the infotainment.
Well I'm happy you like your BRZ unfortunately I started watching your chanel for Veloster N content so I guess that's it for me wish you nothing the best.
Wow, that part that I forgot to edit out at the end where I was just staring into space thinking about what I needed to say… yikes😂
🤣 LMFAO
1. disable the seatbelt chime
2. set the gear shift beeper
3. disable active audio
saved you about 12 years of watching
Thanks mate, have no interest in this dudes life story haha
THX
what exhaust system do you have?
“If I’m just moving it a few feet”
*drives 3 blocks down the road*

How to stop the seatbelt chime:
Wear your seatbelt.

Best video on TH-cam
Does this also work for the back seats!?!? Help!
Not sure but I’d try it and see!
Good work bro.
What's a good resource for finding car meets in my area? I've loved cars since I was a kid but I never go to these and it's about time I get on it.

IS THE BRZ A HARD CAR TO CLIMB IN AND OUT OF IM OLDER GUY ?
I would say a lot depends on your physical condition. I am an avid runner. I am 59 and have no issues.
Wish more time was taken with the GR86 modded with all the GR options. Those parts are scarce. Not even aware their are available for our USDM market
6:37am rip sleep 😂😂😂
lol when did you get your brz ? I already got more km than you. Just put summer tires on today too !

That's crazy your average MPG is the same as my 2015 Honda Civic LOL
Thing gets killer mileage😂
I wanna know how you get 320 miles on a full tank! I average 230😅
I’ve always been good at squeezing every mile I can out of cars😂 I used to average 26 in my first car, 03 mustang GT lol
Do you use 5th and 6th gear at all?? ;)

my question is how are you averaging 31.1 mpg? lol
Very carefully😂
... by the time you plugged and plug the seat belt , you've probably should've just parked the car by then
You sound similar to nick strength and power
I refuse to get aero on my black BRZ, you won't even be able to see it
how tf do you have 31mpg?
These cars get crazy good mpg if you don’t have a lead foot
@@BenLovrien i get 21 🥲
I get 27 combined city and highway with even with keeping in each gear far longer
@@mahasidha9 keeping in gear longer will increase mpg. You want to shift more often if you’re looking to maintain the most efficient rpm.
When the rims coming?
Soon dood, soon👍🏻

4.5 minutes of get the hell on with it already...
