“Am I missing something?” Claudine from St Albans asks. I’m afraid she is missing many things. Here are some points to guide: 1. As a British, she has called the Israeli hostages OUR hostages. 2. She has decided to start the clock at 7th October and ignored decades of occupation and oppression of the Palestinians by Israel. 3. She did not mention (let alone expressed sympathy) for the 30,000 killed, 90,000 orphaned or maimed, and million displaced or starving in Gaza. Waving Palestinians flags, joining democratic marches for Gazans, expressing sympathy with Palestinians and criticising Netanyahus’ regime is not anti-semantics and should not frighten fair minded Jews.

That's utterly absurd. It's a jewish symbol. It's a shame that it is being used by the IDF, but lots of people use that symbol who aren't tied in any way to the conflict or support of Israel / IDF. That kind of thinking is what starts intolerance to begin with. You start saying people can't use symbols they've used for centuries because "look, a terrorist uses these symbols as well". I'd like to agree with the sentiment of the comments on this channel, but most are so tone-deaf or completely absent of any nuance (looks almost like radicalisation tbh). If you understand the conflict that's going on & you're on the right side, fine. Focus on that. Don't try and demean what are serious issues propping up in the Uk as a result of attitudes like yours and many others in the comments on this video.
You miss the point obviously Isreal is heavily militarised. Most parts are totally safe for their Jewish residents. Not the same for the Palestinians. This huge fear they have of Hamas and Palestinians is mainly talking points as they know that their military capacity is so minimal. Most of their rockets are glorified fire Crackers and they are protected by the iron dome and also bunkers. the marches have been characterised by an absence of violence. And in the last months every person standing up for the Gazans was forced to state that they abhorred the Hamas attack in October. But Jewish people aren't required to abhor the level of Israeli violence. Though many, very honorably, do so.

@@Andrew-ti8hi I'm not sure you should be grateful that people abide by the laws. It is required and failure to do so has severe consequences. That's like thanking people for not drinking and driving or not murdering. They shouldn't do those things and would be in prison if they did.
“Am I missing something?” Claudine from St Albans asks.
I’m afraid she is missing many things. Here are some points to guide:

If a Muslim had said that they live in a Muslim community in London they would be accused of refusing to integrate and not valuing British culture.
And rightly so sure you would agree!!

What is worrying is that caller is not alone it's become herd mentality. I've heard similar repeats almost like they are trained bots. It's because they group in communities feeding off each others paranoia. I think she has absolutely no empathy. I think Sangita was too kind and remained professional in her reply too much information to dissect and deal with.
So you think the reported rise in antisemitism is a myth? Presumably you think the reported rise in Islamophobia is a myth also
@@danielcrown6428 Not what I said. Nice try. I could imagine reports of antisemitism and Islamophobia is on the rise just look at whats going on! I've been to TelAviv many times on business, If she feels so strongly I'm sure she will be happy there. With her mentality though the anti war protests from Jews might make her even more unstable. St Albans where she is from is a peaceful well to do location where ever you are from.
@@danielcrown6428I think that you are a symptom of the kind of ignorant hatefilled rhetoric that callers like our professional victim are desperately trying to stir up and destroy our nation with. I think she'd be much happier in Israel with other likeminded individuals and tbh it will make the coming Hague trials and its rulings easier to implement if we can segregate out the aggressors.
The unpalatable fact is that if we'd remained a homogeneous race,( as are middle Eatern countries by and large), we wouldn't even be having these conversations.( which, by the way, are circular and pointless, as in this era of grown up infants, nobody actually wants a DEBATE, they simply wish to be RIGHT)
@@naturealbumsMaybe the Mayor of London could move out of the UK, for exactly the same reason then?
maureen lipman said she was scared and was going to go to israel, That was in 2014,, she is still here, its scaremongering, Ester Ranzen said she had never once felt threatened, I know which one I believe
She talks about placards, I wonder what she thinks about the person who was arrested for having a placard that said not my King?
I think that caller would be happier in Israel then as her mindset seems to fit better there. Have a safe life in Israel.
The UK government are giving the Jewish community 54 Million pounds for security. Wow !
They are the government, they're just giving it to themselves
So much for helping our own!?

If a woman with the star of david showing is in fear. How must a woman in hijab feel in england. If you show your opinion/religion/world view publicly you will be receiving a reaction. This has always been. But this reactions have to be repectful. Thats the first rule. Sadly not everyone is respectful because they maybe think freedom of speech is also the freedom to be disrespectful.
How dare she talk about her children not feeling safe when mothers in Gaza are losing their innocent children due to the actions of a far right government that she apparently supports. Appalling.
You could almost say... if she is so in fear for her children, then why don't they stop Israel from carpet bombing.
But, despite Israel making the Gaza population responsible for Hamas, we know that this is not how it works in real life. So, instead, we apologise to hypocrites like this for the people who are rightfully very angry.
They are bombing due to the actions of Hamas starting a war
And parents seeing their kids blown up and vice versa. Come on....surely Israelis should condemn their Government for the sake of humanity!!
Or worse, those babies in the incubators in Al Shifa hospital whose bodies were rotten when they returned back after the IOF left the hospital.
I know. If there is evil, surely that is pretty close.
For all the jewish brothers and sisters standing on the side justice for Palestinians, we hold you at high honor.
No one is denying October 7, 2023, it happened, however, how many Palastenian children have died. All people are asking for is a cease fire?.
The irregularities of the situation is more than meets the eye. Of those killed half were military. Of the other half , half were killed by the idf as its thier stance not to allow hostages to be taken alive. And they also bombed quite a few areas . Hamas had a directive to destable the military while hostages were taken for negotiation. It got our of hand . Imagine u being treated as a dog for all of your life and u got a chance to pay back your oppressors. What would u do?
The problem is they deny or don’t want to talk about October 6th
@coco Yes they are! Where have you been??
The problem is that they don’t see the same value in Palestinian lives as they do with jewish lives, that’s why you constantly hear about 150 hostages, but cricetts about more than 20000 women and children slaughtered in Gaza…
Well blame Hamas and get educated. Read the quran while you are at it.

How come they dont fear for their life ? You sound guilty and can't take the truth, so play the victim card... Why not? lol ridiculous

Its because the security is there that no one tries anything.
The security exists because many attacks have happend.
Its the same reson France has soldiers on the street and all tourist and padestrian areas now have concrete barriers, many islamist attacks over many years.
