Thambi Chennai to tricy highway has good number of chargers, especially BHARAT PETROL has chargers every 50kms. Tata, zeon, Bharat petrol are the most used in Tamilnadu. Do better research about ev and chargers before making a video🤣🤣, dubakuru mandaya

At present EV driving for long drive seems to be problem only.
    1) you cannot extend any interer places above than our planned tour.
Normal petrol/ diesel vehicle we can fix the travel time. So that time will not waste.
We have to wait for another 1 or 2 years to access this charging station freely availability places.
Even stations available again there will be queue system which we have to spend addition time.
Not suggestable for long journey for some time.

Ev driving is different all together. Instead of driving at 80 and doing 120wh/km you can do 60 to 80 without sudden acceleration and do 75 wh/ km will get you in 4 charges of 45 mins each. Given that 2 stops are ideal on a 380 km trip which will take 6 to 7 hours one-way... A 40 mins break will be good and healthy to break and leave. If the chargers are not available then it is a issue but now with charging points every 70 to 80 km there is an option to go to next charger atlesst coimbatore Chennai or Bangalore roads are strewn with chargers so its a matter of 1 hour delay in ev

    Good video
    I have 4 EVcars
A Tiago EV comes with a 19 & 24 kw battery bank option.
This car is meant for city use only say 150 kms range.
For long ride Tiago will not be sufficient.
An mgzsEv has a 50.1 kw battery and can do 280 kms nonstop on full AC and average speed of 80 kmph.
You are sending a wrong information about EVs . please don't do so.
There is a car that does 500 kms the BYD E6 NO issues.
Please don't emphasize that EV'S are not fit for highways and long distance travel.
Range is dependent on the battery storage capacity and road conditions.
    I've driven 81000 kms and drive between Ooty Tanjore/ Chennai/ Kanyakumari / Bangalore/ mumbai
I haven't faced any range issues so far.
A car for City usage is meant not for highways.

  • @tmanis02
    @tmanis02 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Thank you for being transparent. Loved this video. What TATA done is an incredible job. But People shouldn't rush in buying the EV right now. For example in this video i really feel bad for the other guy who reached thindivanam charging station. Poor guy had to wait another 2hrs. That's not easy. And gosh, i cudn't imagine what u went thru in mid night in peramballur. That anxiety is what keeping me away from EVs. India don't have proper infrastructure for EV like foreign countries. Its still a long way to go. Wait for big players like Maruti and Hyundai to launch EVs in budget segment. Till that conventional vehicle would be the first choice.

Battery will be drying very fast in contrary to the calculations of man and machines in heavy traffic jam, frequent up and down moves . My suggestions are
1.hybrid cars at least with small capacity petrol engine.
    2. all petrol bunks to provide customers a c slow charging on reasonable cost.
3.Further it is for TATA like sellers to also provide standby mobile charging units to help in emergency.

Here many are talking about ev charging time and mileage, ippo for example Chennai to erode my native ku with current road work and traffic it's taking 7hrs - 8 hrs which includes 40mins of lunch break, now we are achieving this time with average 90-120 kmph, coming to EV specially in small cars, there are many factors that influence mileage like speed you drive, and how you accelerate and also the charging speed like how many times you use fast charging, till the speed influences the battery drain, ev can't replace ics for long distance travel. And if you like it or not fast charging is really needed to cut down time or we need a efficient battery that at least does on par travel time with the petrol or diesel heads, with average 100kmph, in a ideal world I would like my battery to drain less maintaining 100kmph with good acceleration for overtaking and max charge in 1 hour max I can spend for lunch time.

In developed foreign countries first they will allocate sufficient space for roads, and then the other lands are allowed to build buildings. Finally at the end of the day they are getting a neat and clean planned city with very good road for transportation. In our country, where ever the places are available all are made as plots, the person who is buying the land has to leave minimum 10% of his land to form a street or road. Govt don't mind about anything and people won't have self decipline. We are living in this kind of situation. Finally our infrastructure is zero. Same is applicable to EV vehicles. Govt and manufacturers are hurry to bring the EVs with zero infrastructure. While looking the charging cost it may feel good, but how much man hours we lost? This will differ from case to case. First they should develop infrastructure, charging stations should be there equivalent to petrol pumps, full charge should happen in 15 mins. Stations should get 24hrs uninterrupted power supply. Due to road temperature batteries should not blast. Battery should last atleast for 500km even the car driven continuously at 100kmph. If all these conditions satisfied the EVs can success here. Protecting the world from pollution is very important, at the same time without infrastructure just enforcing won't make any success practically.

You forgot to calculate the cost of charging done at home. And also if i tend to ride in 100kmph(which is quite practical), the charging cost actually exceeds the cost incurred in a diesel car which is not acceptable.
    My personal view :
    1. Unless i can travel @ 100kmph for minimum 500km without even the slightest of panic/fear, one should not consider buying an EV. It is atrocious to pay such a premium price for this kind of experience.
    2. Charging stations should be like atleast 20/station for every 50kms otherwise its such a pain to wait in queue on top of the waiting time during charging.
    3. Charging should not take more than 15 mins for 80% charging be it any car.
    4. Cost per unit on the highways can be a little over the maximum residential cost/unit. May be 2 or 3 rupees more. Otherwise i dont see a point in people shifting to EVs in the future.
    5. According to me, the infrastructure should be abundant 1st and then the EV and not the other way round. Big companies shouldnt mind burning money on the infrastructure. I see only with substantial evidence, people's mind can change over to EVs.
    6. Also importantly buying an EV should be purely for cost savings on fuel and not on reducing carbon emissions as it has been already proved that it doesnt impact the overall carbon emissions at all.
