This is regarding the TATA Motors and SGA Tata, Coimbatore.
Long post alert , but take little time to read this if you have any near future plans to buy TATA vehicles or vehicles from SGA motors.
We bought a New Version TATA punch EV last month 19 February 2024.
The car had various malfunction alerts from day 1 and we thought it was a minor software bug and called SGA service, they asked us to bring the car for service and they took one hour to reset everything to original and gave back the car stating that there wouldn't be issues anymore.
There were malfunctions even after that like after charging the AC wouldn't work for 5 mins that we should stop the car completely and start again. There were sudden noises from the front part of the car and again the same, we would stop and start the car. It will be alright.
Even after calling and asking they said it's a minor software issue it will get sorted out as we drive.
One fine day the car stopped in the middle of the highway, showing critical error. The gear knob did not work and we couldn't do anything, somehow as we were driving on the left, we could somehow park the car on the side. We called the SGA service centre and they said they will come and after waiting 45 mins on the road no one came and we tried starting the car it got started and we drove to SGA service and left the car for service. After letting them know that we are very disappointed with the vehicle performance like this and we cannot drive a car like this which has errors from day 1. They promised that they would sort out this issue and deliver the car. After 3 days we got back the car from service. On the same day it had the same critical error and we couldn't start the car from home. We tried multiple times and once it started and once it didn't. We totally lost the trust in this car and called SGA cars to take back the car and refund the money. We officially raised a complaint through email to TATA Motors & SGA Motors on 5th March and we got a reply just stating WE REGRET FOR THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED. On the 6th of March, official from SGA Motors came home and inspected the vehicle and started the car with some kit and took a test drive and the car again stopped in a few minutes and they brought back the car home and requested us to take the car for service to sort out and troubleshoot the problems. I had no trust in it, since they already kept the car for 2 days for service and this happened again. I said I do not need this car I want a refund as they have delivered a car with manufacturing defects. I gave them an option to bring a letter from SGA Motors that we are taking this car for service and after that if the car gets the same critical error, the company promises to refund or replace the car.
So many calls and mails and visits to home by various officials, but they were not ready to give the letter, we also refused to give the car for service and we strongly told them that we need only a refund of money since we have totally lost trust in TATA Motors and SGA cars. Again a team of officials came home and took the vehicle for a long drive of 80 kms where the car stopped 5 times on the highway with the same critical error. The people from SGA motors and TATA Motors itself accepted that the car is defective and they feel sorry for what has happened and went back.
Again and again calls and mails and we did not get a positive response from the SGA side.
They are only trying to convince us to let them service the car but not take the responsibility officially that they have delivered a defective car till date.
How should we trust this car and again drive this car and put my whole family into risk??? What if again the car stops in the middle of the highway????
Again mails and phone calls, we said at least we don't need a refund, we will either book a NEXON EV and close this issue. Still no response.
Lastly we brought the issue to MD of SGA cars knowledge through WhatsApp and the reply was "we will positively sort out the issue."
Again yesterday they came home and starting from the first of requesting the car for service and give them 2 days to check the car.
We abruptly refused and next they are asking if the car can be taken back and the offer will be made based on the used car only and what price we expect. Is there anything wrong on my side to get a defective car and sell the car as a used car and buy another car from them????? We have already paid an EMI of 29000/- also.
Still these people are dragging and dragging and now they say that they will again need time till March 30th to sort out this issue. Its been April 6th today, yet there is no response from dealer or tata motors
What can be done on this?????
We are totally stressed out and lost all hopes on TATA Motors and SGA cars.
I am writing this here that you give a thought twice to go in for TATA vehicles, SGA CARS COIMBATORE as you may be delivered a defective vehicle and people will have no regret on it and they will simply kill your time saying we have meetings and drag the issues, not attend the calls and simply give lame excuses. Promise that we will sort out but never do, gets 1 day time 2 days time and again the same story repeats but no solution arrives.
But for us the hard earned money is now gone and we cannot use the car also.
Bro, first i was to mention that's a really great video of both of you, but i can't say or see this as a real-world test😮 but you have also mentioned that this is to get maximum mileage then the topic should be (how much max mileage tata ev's offering on roads with limitations)
1) you have driven in low speeds, practically its not real world atleast you should driven at 100kmph(atleast), beacause that's practical no one is going to drive in 60 at highway i hane noticed at place every car is leaving at good speeds you cannot ride at 60kmph all time in a highway.
2) You can not switch air conditions for some times and keeping at 27 it is not a practical thing at least you should keep running for the whole time in 24 but for sure you should keep at 21 to say real time test
3) You should not turn off audios for whole travel. at least you should maintain low volume. Everyone will hear songs & FM's for sure it will run on the background at low volumes that's reality 😂 more over i hope practicality.
4) conclusion: this is not for highway use you can use it for internal purpose like short distance 180kmph up&down that practicality if you drive at good speeds 😊
Also i will suggest only 35kwh battery dont ever go for 25 kwh option it will make sure you regret for the whole time untill you plan to sell😢.also try DC charge what time it takes to charge both 50kwh &7.2kwh charger option and mention the requirements in household for installation process(mention in this video)
The battery need more improvement in EV sector that takes time but you can buy if you travel short, u can use as 3rd car or 2nd car, last thing try to use cars for safety purpose with 5 star 🌟 rating you can see news how much accidents happening if you are using 2 wheelers 🛞 the impact is going to high so travels through 4 whellers and drive responsible both parties has family waiting for you to join the moment❤ Happy motoring 🎉

Wonderful review!! By a cautious driving u had achieved the 360 km mark. Ofcourse it's a good range that too with 2 people. But in the normal driving conditions, the range matters.

Now a days who is driving at 60-65...80 is the normal speed in highways.you should drive normally as you would drive a petrol or diesel car...then only we would come to know if it's worth it.
Bro its was an big information that you gave to the people,but buying car and taking it around 60 to 65 practically not possible bro,for city condition alone it is great,but if we travel around 500 km in a single atleast for a month,we should (MUST) pre-plan for charging and real life we should charger two times for that,if we like to be happy in the journey and 2 times 1 hours break be must for the battery percentage not for people travelling
Yes, Pre planning is better idea on EV travelling brother, appreciate your time and feedback for the same
Let aside pre planning, already with the current traffic an IC engine with adequate power and doing 100-120 itself will take you 7hrs with lunch break , what time will we do will a average of 65-70

1. 100%charge
2. 4 elderly person including driver or 2elders and 2kids.
3. Carry couple of airbags with some clothes enough for 2days
4. Maintain atleast 90 to 110km speed with 22 to 24degrees AC
Now show how many kms it can go. This will be the real world honest review which will help your subscribers.

Use middle lane. I travelled 170kms Chennai to tirupathi in middle lane without disturbing the other vehicles.

It's 35 KWH battery pack brother. So, 35 Units thevapadum,home charger na Approximately 6 Rs per unit ahum, apo full charge ku Rs. 210 selavahum. Ithuve fast charger na Rs. 20 per unit approximately selavahum, so Rs.700 80 - 90 % max charge ku selavahum. So, Home Charger use pandrapo Rs. 210 ku 360 + Range kidaikaum. Ithuve Fast Charger na namaku Rs. 700 athuku selavahum.

Unless swappable batteries are there no use of buying EV as a single car.
As I mentioned before , EV does not makes sense if you are not able to do 90-100 in highways , so these are good for cities but not for highways. So first time buyers with highway trips in mind stick to iC engines
On most of the highways even speed limit is 80kmh, and only on new express ways you will have to go above 90-100kmh, I generally drive at about 80 to 90 kmh only on my petrol car aslo

If you use A/C and 80-90 km speed both at same. One full charge it will give 100 to 110 km. I hope Tata punch.ev will give only 100Km 😂😂. So waste of money. I m the punch.ev customer.
I forget to say one thing.. If you drive 40-50km speed andwith out A/c, it's give 300 km for one charge.
So useful for only local use.
