WTF Happened To Jason Goes To Hell?

- Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday delivered a wild, polarizing entry that shattered expectations for the Friday the 13th franchise when it moved to Newline. Whether you love its audacity or hate its departures, this movie remains one of the most controversial horror sequels ever made.
Written by: Eric Walkuski
Edited by: Tyler Nichols
Narrated by: Tyler Nichols
Produced by: John Fallon and Andrew Hatfield
Executive produced by: Berge Garabedian
SERIES SYNOPSIS: Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster but were beset with unforeseen disasters. Sometimes huge hits, sometimes box office bombs. Either way, we have to ask: What Happened To This Horror Movie?

Although in the 90s, that last 5 seconds with Freddy's glove was the coolest thing we'd ever seen. Its just a shame it took more than a decade for it to pay off.
Unfortunately with Friday the 13th we have little babies that fight over everything and don't realize they've all cost themselves millions of dollars because nothing gets made.
Exactly a decade. Both released in August, 93 & 03
On the Crystal Lake Memories DVD, Adam Marcus foolishly revealed that he didn't even come up with it.
It didn’t even pay off
Yeah and we got a crappy Freddy vs Jason 😅
This movie has a special place in my heart as it was one of the movies I saw with my great-grandmother before she would later pass away.
♥
I have a soft spot for it too. My cousin and I rented it from our local video store when it came out. Great memories.
Honestly the opening of this movie is my favorite part of the entire series, where the FBI tactical team takes down Jason. I wish they'd made an entire movie out of that part. Really there should've been more Hell in Jason goes to Hell.
@@rig-zag it's a bad ass intro for sure...makes you wonder why the government didn't do it sooner lol
I saw this when I was 10 years old. Always been one of my favorites. Never understood the hate.
@@michaelevans9675 personally, cause it lacks Jason. I want my hockey face killer in my Friday movies. The jumping bodies thing was meh at best and introducing a sister we never heard of was weak, just like when nightmare did it with maggie
@@thecunninlynguist Crystal Lake, NJ is out in the sticks. Jason started out as a legend and then when he was killed in Part IV, everyone thought he was dead for good. Every time he came back his body was missing at the end of the carnage, further fueling his mythic reputation. After what happened on the Lazarus and in Manhattan, the authorities finally decided to take him seriously and put an end to him.
The agent in the shower was Smokin' Hot!
The coroner talking shit to Jason’s remains was one of the funniest things I’d ever seen as a kid.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember Kane Hodder promoting this movie at MTV Spring Break. Once as himself and second as Jason, with the VJ and spring breakers trying to calm him down.
I appreciate that the writers at least tried to do something different with this film after 8 Jason movies that were pretty much all the same
Agreed !!! I will always appreciate film productions and crew that attempt to do something different, even if it bombs you have to respect the balls it takes to not follow the stereotypical horror troupes and stories
Absolutely. I rather enjoy Jason Goes to Hell for what it is. And IMO has the 2nd or 3rd best kill in the entire franchise - the tent sex scene is just, wow. And the MPAA AFAIK didn't butcher it like the last few movies so the kill was so nasty and gory compared to many kills in the series. I mean seeing someone get their head pressed into a camper's metal skin is great, seeing a teenager get smushed into a tree in her sleeping bag is iconic (and either the 2nd or 3rd best along with the tent sex kill). I understand people hating how they changed Jason's lore here and all that. But, again, I loved it for being something different AND trying to connect it to Evil Dead etc. was smart - at least I think so. I feel like if Jason Takes Manhattan never came out, or was a better movie, Jason Goes to Hell might have gone down better in fans eyes. Or not. Who knows?
Also, Jason's daughter. I mean sure why not lol
This was the first Jason movie i ever saw in the theater, 7th grade, back when my parent's would drop us off and we could purchase tickets to any movie! Probably nostalgia, but i absolutely love every moment of this movie!
Little girl Sticking a hotdog through a donut might be one of the strangest, most out of place lines in a movie. I love it.
Wait a minute........ I never thought about it in a weird way before and now you've dirtied my BRAAAAIN 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Happy Friday the 13th everyone. ❤❤
It's simply not a Friday the 13th Jason film. It's got wayyy too many ideas and completely takes away the one thing you watch for. Jason.
Right its more like a bizarre spin-off with the Jason character and some of the Friday the 13th mythology . Same with Jason X & Freddy vs Jason . Friday the 13th (2009) was modern remake of the first four .
I agree but it's been 31 years. It's a fun movie.
Good or not it's fun.
There is a kill that is actually pretty great in the uncut version.
Maybe one day it will be revealed that Jason is a Cenobite. Then we can have the Hellraiser-13 crossover thrown in the mix. lol
This is borderline a direct-to-video movie
Elias is JASON'S FATHER! who was originally going to be in Jason Lives, but they didn't film the scene.
So, the body hopping was a novel idea? I guess they forgot about "The Hidden", done by Newline only a few years before. Shame, it's a fun sci-fi action flick
Happy Friday The 13th JOBLO I Remember My Uncle Had a Videotape Version of Jason Goes to hell when I Was a Kid This is Where I Was I First Introduced To Jason Voorhees Now I'm 37 I Have This Movie on DVD With Both Rated and Unrated Versions on it Along With all 8 Friday The 13th And The Unrated Freddy Vs Jason Movie Nothing Could Keep This True Horror icon Down.
Back in the 90s the poster was at some point in EVERY local rental store lol I liked that it was something left field for the series.I personally liked every deviation the series had made.Starting from him becoming undead, psychic links, supernatural powers, copycat killer. Its a fantastical series. Its like a EC comic on film.I liked the ridiculous of the later sequels
This was my favorite of the series before I saw the first one. It was exactly not what I was expecting, and I loved it for that.
Forever Appreciating the film makers that at least try something new !
This flim is a guilty pleasure for me,i don't care what everyone says it's a watchable flim
Ha! Always liked it just fine…. Don’t think of it as a mainline Friday Flick…. More like an alternate dimension movie….
I love all sorts of B movie trash and this movie is definitely not watchable. lol
I ❤ this , guilt free.
I’ve always loved this movie. Sure it’s not a typical Jason film but hell, it’s still better than 5 & 8. lol.
Definitely
Note how New Line Cinema didn't include the gorier unrated DVD cut as part of the "Complete Collection" boxed set. The unrated version is drastically better as it truly delivers on the gore fans love.
This is the only Friday the 13th movie I shut off after renting it from blockbuster, I was like FUUUUDGE THIS
oh noooo 🤣🥰
I can understand though, if you were expecting full on Jason, I get why a lot of fans did not like this one. I love it but very much get it 🤣
I just vividly remember seeing the box art at my local video rental store and thought the movie literally took place in Hell. Seeing that it was just another cheap horror movie that took place on the same old backlots is very disappointing.
The ultimate Friday 13th movie is part four. It’s hands-down, the best of the series. But when people asked me what my favorite in the series is, I tell them Jason goes to hell. I know I’m in the minority here as most people cannot stand this film for various reasons. I just don’t understand the hate. In a franchise this large, there is room for different ideas and if you don’t like with this film presents, there are eight other films that come before to explore. I don’t mind how radically different this movie is. I actually like the body jumping aspect. Even when it doesn’t look like Jason, I never for one second believe that it’s not Jason. Plus, when he is actually in the hockey mask, he looks great. This movie’s got amazing effects. Great characters. Nonstop action. Awesome nods to other horror films and so on and so on. This movie is a blast. I used to rent this every single weekend at the video store when I was a kid. Not to mention, Jason goes to hell has the greatest ending, not only of any horror movie ever, but of any movie period. It’s a fun little flick and a great little addition to such a varied franchise. I really love the later years of this franchise, Parts six through nine. They really tried some interesting and different stuff with the series. Thank you for for doing a video on this awesome movie.
Finally. Someone who gets this movie. I completely agree with you 100%.
Mark me down for a third, i was always a little disappointed over the fact that Jason's scene was too overly short, I always would have liked a good solid 20 last minutes with a full bodied jason at the end and I'd been completely satisfied, but that said iv always enjoyed & appreciated it
Even Jason is thinking, "I know we've always just been making sh*t up but rhis is nutso."
One of the most memorable covers I would walk by at the video rental store when I was very young.
I remember seeing this in the theater when I was like 15. I remember just leaving the movie mostly confused, but excited by the Freddy arm cameo.
I would say this is the worst Friday The 13th film, but calling this a "Friday The 13th film," is an understatement. Hell, it doesn't even have the Friday The 13th name in it. And even as it's own film, it's so weird and off putting. I really don't know what the hell is going on in this movie. I sat through this movie once, and forgot all about it.
21 Jump Street? I best know that man from The X-Files
One of the two state troopers who keep crashing their cars in the blues brothers 😂
Supernatural too
Steve is a legend
Part 7 is my personal fav
Jason looks the best and that one by far. The costume and special effects were awesome. I love how his clothes were tattered and you could see his bones underneath. He looks dumb in every other movie by comparison
@StewartLucrative he does look awesome in it
What happened is they ran out of Jason ideas, and in an effort to kill time til they could do FvJ, they made an x-files episode
And then Released it before the X-files debuted. Very clever New Line
Kane hodder is the best Jason ever and he is such a nice guy too. Always consider him a horror icon!
Kane Hodder and Robert Englund are the golden boys of horror. 🥰 They just payed the characters so masterfully that it makes it so hard for us to accept any new people who play the characters, they've got a lot to live up to.
Yeah I remember seeing the poster of this movie in my local video store and I knew immediately I had to watch it. Booked it for the next evening, watched it, and I wasn't disappointed. Great movie, the good old days.
I had Blockbuster up until about 13 / 14. and I remember as a little girl every weekend heading in a renting out the latest horror with my mum and dad
It kills me when people call Jason X one of the worst films ever, it's not even the worst film in the series.
I would rather watch Jason X than Jason Goes to Hell any day. I would say X competes with VIII for the second worst, but JGtH is hands down the worst movie that has Jason in it.
best place to find what happened with this movie, i finally got the 2020 shout/scream factory box set, in the extra stuff for this one the director explains: he grew up with s.cunningham's kid (and knew cunningham very well since childhood) that's s.cunningham original creator of friday part 1. s.cunningham in many many places i've seen wanted NOTHING to do with the very idea of jason coming back as the villan in parts 2-8, he still cashed his checks from the rights from part 1 and most of the crew/makers of part 2 were his people/connects from part 1 etc, but he hated the very idea of jason being alive at all for many years by his own words, but of course got crazy rich from having his name on the rights of jason specifically. now how much money they backed up to get him involved in part 9 i do not know (nor do i know if/why he suddenly needed more money such to just now by part 9 get involved either) but he basically told the director of this movie (who was 22 about to be 23 when he wrote it by the way, hahaha, same as that butthole surfers song) "as long as you take off jason's mask for the majority of the movie you can do whatever you want otherwise". well a.marcus (the 22-23 year old writer/director here) apparently always wanted to mishmash up a ton of very different horror ideas like his whole life, specifically merging evil dead with jason/friday the 13th mythologies. so here we got a goofy mashup of jason (but not really, since he's suddenly not an undead human, wasn't a human at all in parts 2-8 either according to a.marcus) mixed with sort of but not really evil dead mythologies (not really since at no place in any evil dead are the demons/deadites worm parasites that need to be moved into new host often), body snatchers (as mentioned above) type stuff (the parasite/worm/demon "jason") the monster that is the "real" jason looks like a variety of 80's or 90's small monsters (and the head sure looks a lot like alien resurrection's human/alien hybrid's), he throws in a version of jason in a mirror shows up as human form jason (sort of like vampires can't be seen in mirrors but not quite), just a giant mishmash of incongruent stuff thrown together. sucked for me specifically as i as a young kid got into these movies in the late 80's by the time i was barely old enough to have somebody sneak me into a theater for my first one it was this one, and this one, ruined any hope i'd have (at the time ever, it was quite depressing) (along with the ending of 8, but that one clearly paramount was trying to kill the franchise) for future of fridays going forward. what's really funny is we used to write plots for imaginary friday the 13ths when we were kids, and even us, as kids, would've shut down anybody trying to merge like 3+ incongruent horror mythologies jammed together as laughably stupid. and we'd have assumed movie companies would've laughed you out of the building for trying it too.
basically frank mancuso wasn't here to keep out the gibberish, and s.cunningham liked the money enough to allow it, and never had any interest in jason at all anyway (other than the reason why pam voorhees went nuts in part 1, this last he's also said numerous times very specifically). mancuso also wasn't around for part 8, which likely explains the complete nonsense ending there too.
nothing against the acting/gore/kills in part 9 though, those were done well. if you want to do an evil dead movie, have your buddy cunningham hook you up with those guys.
The directors commentary in this movie is pretty funny and entertaining.
The amount of work that must go into these videos is insane 👏
icr the character name but the first guy that eats the heart..his face just before eating it is like "why not..im not doing anything tomorow" lol that part always makes me laugh even now.
I liked Jason Takes Manhattan. It was different. I enjoy it still.
I thought Jason takes Manhattan was cinema gold compared to Jason goes to hell.
This movie is so boring without normal Jason Voorhees killing people.
I like the Unrated Cut it has the best gore and kills of the series yes the movie is no longer a slasher but a body possession horror film but it's a good one.
It's definitely is still awesome ! 🥰
Imagine if terrifier 3 came out at this time the npaa wouldn't know what to do and for the people who seen it you know lmao.
Lol! You think Terrifier is the apex of outrageousness or something? See MORE movies pal.
I have always enjoyed this film. I appreciated that they tried something different. I'll gladly watch this film over 7 or 8.
Yes! 💯 thank you!
I love all 3 honestly haha.
7 and 8 are masterpieces compared to 9.
Man I spent my teenage money to see this in the theater 😐
Jason goes to LA, was printed money just waiting to exist 😢
Jason Takes Manhattan begs to differ😂
Worst movie experience EVER! I was 15 and an older man kept laughing out loud and that ruined it more.
Just bought a digital license for this & am currently rewatching it then this popped up in my recommended videos 😂😂😂😂
So what you're saying is... You don't own it, and are happy...
@ Never said that I don’t own a physical copy, just found it ironic that I bought a digital copy today & then was recommended this video a few hours afterwards. Sorry you don’t understand something being ironic.
@EvaFull WHOOSH
Its plot was a better sequel to The Hidden than the actual Hidden II film
The two cops that got their heads bashed together were played by Los Angeles radio DJs, Mark Thompson and Brian Phelps of The Mark and Brian Show.
This was...something. I remember seeing it in the theaters with my Dad and as a matter of fact, I think this is where I saw the first trailer for Wes Craven's New Nightmare which would drop a year later.
The premise for this showed just how empty the proverbial tank was with this. They did virtually every possible thing they could with him. I get that this was supposed to be how we got to the crossover that would come about a decade later but if anything...this was better than the 8th one.
Creighton Duke ate up every bit of scenery he had in this thing. If you took him out of the movie, this most likely tanks in a bad way. This had easily the most graphic kill and up until the remake its most graphic sex scene. They really had some brutal killings even though we didn't get the actual Jason until the final act. This was short and to the point, which it needed to be. Hearing a lot of the backstory explains why it looks like it was rusher.
This needed to end after 8, but I guess this gave us a somewhat better ending than Jason drowning in a thing of sewage or whatever that last act of 8 was about.
Everyone's major gripe with this movie is that Jason (a hockey mask) isn't in the movie. Um, more than 1,2,and 3!
I love this movie. I love the logic most people have when describing their problems with it. Change the killer from a grieving mother to a boy who's somehow been living in the woods and just never went home for decades even though he was canonically dead and it doesn't make sense? Sure. No problem. Randomly have him double in size overnight and all of a sudden develop skull crushing strength alongside the sudden inexplicable ability to recover from fatal wounds after a quick nap with no prior mention of anyone being able to do these things? Sure no problem. He's a zombie now with no prior mention of zombies existing? Sure no problem. People exist in this franchise with freakish telekenetic abilities With no prior mention? Sure no problem. Jason hops bodies? YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR!!! WHY HAVEN'T WE HEARD ABOUT THIS SOONER!?!?!
Barely having Jason in it was the problem
@@clarkness77 I'm guessimg you never read my comment. My post addresses why I find it a silly argument. He's definitely in it. Just in a different form.
Jason isn't a deadite. I really hate that the director of this movie keeps saying he is and that's canon because it's in his shitty movie. He wasn't raised from the dead by the Necronomicon in any movie. I see Jason's undead version called Zombie Jason too, but he's more like a revenant. Too smart to be a zombie, in most cases anyways.
To be fair no one in the film actually states it and Duke would have mentioned it in the jail scene if it were so. My own head canon is that Pamela found some variant of the book and either it wasn't legit or she couldn't read it. Why did the dagger work on him? Because it isn't the Kandarian dagger. Evil Dead never shows it doing any of the stuff that JGTH does. It just looks similar in the way one car/book/chair etc may resemble another. That's how I deal with it anyway😂
@ahahahaha496 I don't remember him being referred to a deadite I'm the ash vs comics either. So screw that guy. 😁
Happy Friday the 13th.
The worst Friday by far. The only redeeming factors are the intro scene, duke, finale, evil dead refs, and fvj tease. Beyond that....bad bad bad. Lack of Jason really hurt it...and the story is more or less a copy of Freddy's dead.
I’ve been sticking up for this movie since I was 12. I feel folks either love it or hate it and I get it, but no one can say that it’s not original and at least a little fun.
They should have hired Robert to be the real Freddy´s hand in that scene. Just for the sake of establishing that, prior to the remake, just Robert Englund played the character.
...I also REALLY liked the idea of the ending of Freddy vs Jason where they would still want to fight in a colloseum in Hell and Pinhead would interfere.
They didn´t have to make a sequel with Pinhead on it. In fact, I had prefered not to. But just that scene alone would have been epic.
PS
I can´t believe that Tyler has NEVER mentioned that Robert Englund played Felix Faust in the Justice League TV series and The Riddler in The Batman. He should have at this point.
If you were a producer would you really want to pay Robert just to use his hand when anyone on set could fill that role? I get what you mean, but it would be an expensive cameo for them.
Ive watched it twice. That was enough. Absolutely despised this movie lol
Always amazing when is a Friday the 13th video.. but is it me or has this been out before?? Sorry its been a long week
One of my favorite designs of Jason.
I was just watching that movie yesterday due to it being Friday the 13th 😏 and I don’t care what people say that version of Jason from Jason Goes To Hell is the scariest one of them all seriously… I want to see people’s reaction in the theater watching that part when the dude ate Jason’s heart that traumatize Me for the longest
HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH!
Funny, how the first 5 minutes of Jason goes to Hell would have been the best ending to any Friday the 13th movie ever.
It’s crazy how they go through a million scripts and become sensitive on certain aspects. But then the final draft doesn’t explain any of the continuity in the franchise. That’s Hollywood, it’s all politics. If they like the person… they like the idea (script)
The very end of this movie is so iconic and the beginning is solid. It’s just sad the rest of the movie sucks.
Hello I just laughed my ass over the fact that the duke actor didn't know what he was saying half the time That is hilarious
Now it all makes sense!
Seeing this opening weekend in theater was a blast. The crowd was pretty lit. During a dialogue scene in a parking lot, the framing was off, cutting off the top of the picture w/ the character' heads. The crowd started chanting, "We want head!" And of course, the Freddy stinger at the end brought the house down. So although I detest this movie (easily the worst F13), I'll always remember that stuff.
IDC I love this movie. I watched it over and over again as a kid cause the ending blew my mind.
As weird and flawed as this movie is I still really like it. Jason looks great and Kane Hodder did awesome as Jason (for when he’s actually in it). I love that they actually have John D. LeMay from the underrated Friday the 13th series as the lead. It’s got a weird dark humor and it’s an overall fun entry.
TBH, 7, 8 and 9 were pretty bad. I can literally watch the others over and over.
At least the ending had the ball rolling for a Freddy vs Jason movie.
There will be no Manhattan slander here. Jason taking canadhattan is a classic
Aww, 7 in in my top 3 of the franchise.
@@karl_alanfor real seven is one of the dopest and always gets roped in with the other too
7 is a fair effort, just hurt by the MMPA. 8, 9 and X are the worst. FvJ is fun and the 2009 is fairly good
@@ScarysReviews I can't get over the partying teens in 7. They're so generic and bland. I know deep backstory and character development aren't what you come to see a Friday for but even for this franchise they'rw weak
i love this channel
Appreciate it!
I like it for what it is. Cheesy popcorn flick to play a drinking game to.
Who else noticed the crate from creepshow?
Hated this movie but that tent death unedited is the best in the franchise
Jason goes to manhattan always annoyed me because he doesn’t get to New York until well over an hour into the film.
Jason Goes to Hell is one of my favourite entries in the series. Primarily because it’s so different and bizarre, also the gore FX are some of the best of the series. Do I think it could’ve been better? Sure, but as it stands, it’s an interesting movie and is profoundly entertaining. It’s not as good as say Friday the 13th Parts 1,2,4,6,7 but it’s way better than Parts 3,5,8 and 10. For me anyways.
This movie has its charm as a eclectic stand alone ft13th installment imo.
Nothing happened to it other than it's the best Jason in the series...best looking Jason ,the others looked cheesy , ...they had Jason's house , demonic books, transferring bodies,Jason on a mission vs just killing randoms , FBI after him, crazy wicked death scenes, Freddy Krueger, Duke bounty hunter, tone, scoring, edit coloring ....movie was epic wait til the 4k comes out !!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont hate it
And i love John D. LeMay. 🤷♂️
This movie was not Even Bad... It broke My heart
Because of this movie in season 6 of supernatural which incidentally had duke in since season 3 had a episode with a similar worm that jumped body to body including fan favorite bobby
I saw this in my preteens and was thoroughly confused while watching it
As much as I hate most of this movie, at the very least it is not boring. Some of the performances are genuinely decent and entertaining.
I walkes out of this movie and snuck into Heart and Souls starring RDJ.
Merry Christmas every one
To you as well!
I found the vhs around 2007 at the pharmacy, and it was the unrated version. I just like that it’s a fun movie. Too bad they didn’t have it on dvd by then but I still have the vhs.
The plot of this movie was so interesting of what jason can do, dude had some powers in this one lol
Imagine a world where ALL of the Friday films were shot with unrated versions in mind....
Ah... What could have been..... ,😮💨
😭😭😭😭😭😭
With the success of the Terrifier franchise, I am kinda hoping WHEN/IF we ever get another Jason movie it will be a straight up gore fest, unedited and raw 😆
@13TH_HR I shall watch said movie... While eating spaghetti 🍝😁🍝
12 year old me loved it
If I wanted to watch The Hidden, I'd watch The Hidden. I liked the opening and of course the iconic ending, but Cunningham's stance or whoever it was of not wanting that damn mask was just asinine.
The president of New Line wanted his Jason movies to feel different from the Friday the 13th series.
I wish Kane had played Jason in F vs J, although Ken did a great job.
That's CRAZY because my boyfriends back is a classic in itself...💯
This film is absolute dreck. I know the series isn't Oscar worthy but Sean S Cunningham just throwing everything away to a unknown twenty something director with no real credits was a mistake. It looks like some crap 90's soap opera, has the dialog of said soap opera ( And again, I know this is Friday we're talking about here but it's just beyond bad ) the music is completely out of place and distracting, and the cast is atrocious but I mostly blame Marcus for that. Only plus is some of the kills are alright.
Legit. One of the WORST movies ever made.
I can appreciate attempting something new.
It’s ok to me. Watchable.
Things I like lore wise. Things I don’t like lore wise or as the story plays out.
There’s just a bit more of what I don’t like over the things I like.
As far as I’m concerned, the paramount films and new line films are separate continuity.
Honestly the whole premise of that film would have worked way better for A nightmare on elm Street movie since Freddy can both be a demon slug and possess people as seen in ANOES 2 and FvJ, they made Jason way too much like Freddy in JGTH and it kind of takes away from his uniqueness from other horror characters. It makes me wonder what the Jason films would have been like if dimension films had got the rights to make Jason movies, like to think they would have done something far better than new line and maybe even a Michael vs Jason movie, I can only imagine that alternate reality where dimension films were the ones to obtain the rights to Jason.
The sequel where they try to explain things is always the one fans hate. Like it or not, JGTH is canon to the Paramount movies. This movie takes place five years after Part VIII, putting it in 2003, a few months before FVJ. The presence of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis and the Kandarian dagger are all the proof one needs to realize Jason's resurrection and immortality are tied to the Deadites of The Evil Dead. Remember that a couple of Freddy Krueger's gloves were in the Knowby cabin's root cellar and work shed. I stand by Adam Marcus' desire to do something different and explore the overdue lore behind the Voorhees history. At this point, with nine movies in, what more could people expect?
Do the same movie that less amd less people were showing up to see of course! Damn these Hollywood Lunkheads who didn't know the franchises long term fans wanted the same movie we already had several of!! Damn them for not realizing diminishing ticket sales is a sign that they should rehash the same story to appease fans 30 years later even though there are several other Friday films they can watch if they don't like this one! Damn! Them! All to Hell!!
This film is strange. I have tried to watch it several times but my attention drifts away from it. I end up not remembering much about it. Perhaps it's time for another try.
Did politics really need to be brought into this? Really?
I love this movie just for how bat shit crazy it is, one of the worst in the franchise yes, but one of the most fun to watch!
It ain't a good Friday movie. It is however an aweaome horror movie. I really wish this had been released as it's own franchise sans the Friday ties
It's Alright. But The Unrated Version Rulez✊🏻!
