Breath of the Wild's complex mechanics and overlapping intricacies led players to push the game's boundaries, resulting in several gameplay clips that took the internet by storm. Some of these are so complex, it's hard for the average player to decipher exactly what's even happening.
In the above video, Max, our in-house BOTW expert, reacts to some of the most viral BOTW clips, and breaks down how techniques like Wind Bombs, Crouch Cancels, Bomb Flips, and many others are used to accomplish some of these mind-boggling clips.

it does make me wonder if they are going to keep that kind of engine for 2 or go on to something entirely differently. Something i loved about this game is the crazy ways you can do... well... everything. this vid is just ramping that up to 11.

BOTW is a systemic game, where entire have relationship with each other, So it possible that players discover a lot of stuff that developer doesn't intended.

It's pretty easy actually
Cyonis launch is actually one of the easiest tricks in the game. Use cryonis under something, then enter bullet time. It messes with the physics of the game and launches anything on the cryonis block into the sky.

He changed bokoblin mask into sheika mask because the game does the same to us - when you meet "traveller" and it is actually a Yiga clan member in disguise, he turns on you.
This is exactly why he equiped Sheika, because Yiga used to be sheika long time ago. No other mask closer.

Honest question to you all: Do you guys think the game designers knew that these advanced techniques would evolve and be used or do you think they “accidentally” created a game this intricate? Basically...was this game consciously made to be this rad or was it a good mistake of design?
Bit of both, but given that they built in certain physics they atleast but some thought into it. Some are glitches, some are intentional and the mix of both make it great.

Most of the advanced combat stuff are glitches that are made using stuff thay was supposed to happen
It's like 40% intent 60% accidents, there's no way you can predict people will do crazy stuff with just basic information about the game's functions. But sometimes during dev time they intentionally keep stuff in, like, the bombs launching you high up is probably left in. Testers don't pass up easy stuff like that.
they built a great physics and chemistry system that allows for creative solutions, i doubt they thought of everything as every puzzle obviously has the intended solution but they did design the mechanics to encourage creative thinking and use of those mechanics.

I’m pretty good at archery in this game. I always show myself drawing the bow before taking my shot to show that I did it in one take vs people who show the best of multiple takes. Because I worked hard to get good at that skill and I hate when people claim I’m editing my gameplay footage. I also show fails along the way to getting good at trickshots because we need to set honest expectations for each other.
Would love to see analyzations like that. Speedrunners, min/max pros, esports pros analyzing community clips are really good.

I 100% completed Age of Calamity last week and got an itch to play BotW which I hadn't touched since my second playthrough in 2018, I was like "yeah I'll just explore the world again, maybe beat Ganon, then I'll move on"
I ended up playing all day and all night for like 3 days straight 🙃 went from 250 hours to 275 in like 3 days

It's pretty cool but using the exact same setup for every trickshot makes it way less cool and flashy/ tryhardy. Hate to be that guy but it's just not as cool as it looks. The subreddit is just one big circlejerk over the ragdoll physics. Love the game, with a lot of good memories and favorite moments, none ever came from mlg trickshots lmao

4:08 once i was at the otherside of a mountain and i saw a moblin camp extremely far away, targeted the location , shot a bomb arrow in the sky ( ONCE ) and i killed the whole camp after that i started doing these to monsters far away from me ( it took me 1 or 2 tries to kill them tho sometimes i do a headshot ) 😎

I'm just amazed at how good people are at combat. I cheesed most of the combat and barely scraped by with the blights and Ganon.

I like how he is always saying the truth about some tricks not being actually that hard or being over complicated for no reason instead of fake over reactions like most youtubers do
3:26 Was thinking that you should also mention, that the weird physics engine for flurry rush allows all the physics like… 20x more powerful during this time. And you enter flurry rush mode (bullet time?) when you draw the bow or simply activate it by dodging. So just a slight push from the icy block (sorry, I really dunno how to spell the rune names in English, I do be playing it in Japanese) then deactivate Rush Attack (aka bullet time) by simply put your bow away will maintain that 20x power. However, this momentum won’t last if you keep yourself in bullet time, it will simply be the same just like normal physics, but slower. This is also how to do BTB!
Also, I doubt it has things to do with ragdoll state cuz I can still launch a normal state enemy away

This is really mindblowing. I just come from a twitter thread "what's a universally acclaimed game you just couldn't get into?" and someone said BOTW because "The combat is so basic and i got bored" and many people agree with him. Well i can't blame them BOTW is as good as how creative the player is
that sweeping attack is really easy to flurry rush. But I think the spear sweeping attack is hard to flurry rush half the time it takes all my hearts because I traded most of them for stamina
