I used my 15pro as an under water camera on a cruise in June. It spent probably around 3+hrs in the ocean total and I rinsed with water afterwards after each ocean swim. And only wirelessly charged. I hoped to back up my photos before it died. It never died and I recently traded it in for a 16 pro max. I have amazing photos and videos from the trip ❤

My last phone was a 13 Pro Max, and I took it in the ocean in Florida for three years in a row on vacation. Never had one problem out of it, just charged it wirelessly.
I’ve been using my iPhones under water for years, filming in fish tanks in the sea, I wash it in the bath to clean grease marks etc. never had any issues.
@@DrillHistory The iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 13, and 13 mini all have an IP68 rating, which means they can withstand being submerged in water up to 6 meters deep for up to 30 minutes
I literally swam at Idaho’s major theme park, Silverwood, in the lazy river and wave pool with my iPhone 15 pro max 512g natural titanium with zero issues. Well, I couldn’t charge it via charging port for a while of course due to the safety feature of liquid detection. No case and no screen protector, just a naked 15 pro max in and out of water for hours throughout the day. Months later, still no issues. Moreover, I took my iPhone 14 Pro Max in Disney Worlds water park wave pool, and had no issues. So, I say it’s reasonable to assume the risk that the 16 pro Max will live up to Apples claim. I do have my limit, I did not take my 15 pro max in the oceans of Honolulu Waikiki, only my Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the ocean with zero issues.
The reason why the audio sounds so good is the speaker that it is playing also is coming from the head piece of the iPhone. There are two speakers one on the bottom and one on top. Usually iPhone speakers play through the bottom right side. Because the microphone is on the left side. But that's why the audio sounds so good because it's coming out of the headpiece.
the benchmark of water resistant is iphone 7. Wayback then, I already tried my iphone 7 and that was ip67 rating. Everything went well and never had a problem submerging it in both pool and sea water. So with the latest iphone after iphone 7, I’m not suprise with apple’s capability of water resistance rating to all their iphones up to this moment. 👍👍👍
Every time my phone gets dirty I literally just rented it underneath the sink and it’s a 12 Pro Max. I do you think it did hurt a bit because now every time I try to scroll it goes back to the top if I try to watch a video I can’t watch it in full portrait mode or it will.
A few years back, I took my iPhone XS Max with me to Mexico and I took it underwater in a pool, shooting videos and taking pics, and all was perfect. No issues at all. I just had to let it dry before charging it, obviously.
this was painful to watch but great to know my iphone will survive! Great video Nikias! I once left my iphone 13 in my freezer for a few hours, and it works completely fine!
went to the beach last august, still using my iphone 11 and used it to take pictures in the ocean, it even rained so hard and i still used it, no issues at all. I couldnt charge it for a time of course but no other issues at all. If my 11 could survive that, I'm quite sure higher iphones would perform even better
Most new phones nowadays are completely waterproof however when water get into your charging port obviously you don't plug it in and charge immediately instead you let it dry
They are not waterproof. They are water resistant. It is a big difference. Apple won’t replace it in case of water damage and warranty won’t cover water damage.
Best option to remove water from the USB connector is power off the phone, use an air blower to remove as much water as possible and then let it dry by itself for a few hours or a whole day. Using the iphone in any way with moist inside means risking permanent damage due to short circuit
If you drop it, don’t put it in rice, buy a bag of those desilica packets that tell you not to eat them, put many of them and the iPhone in a sealed box and let it sit turned off.

But what exactly is that water eject shortcut doing beside ejecting water? Is it an overloaded haptic vibration?
it makes a buzzy sound that blasts the water out of the speakers just like the Apple Watch.
