    i play football and i like to lift to aid my performance but after football im going to start powerlifting. i bought an inzer belt and an adjustable pioneer lever that just came out. It does the same thing as the sbd but a little better because there are 1/2” increments. Plus you save like 50+ bucks. The only problem with the lever is it is not yet ipf approved but it could be in the future. that doesnt matter to me yet tho. After football i plan to lift for a year to a year and a half before competing because I want covid to die down and i want to get used to powerlifting. You can also customize pioneer belts but that is sometimes really expensive. but if you already have a lever belt and dont care about no ipf rating on the lever, the pioneer lever belt is a way better option.

    Pioneer now has the "Pioneer Adjustable Lever" or PAL, that allows one to instantly adjust your lever belt in half inch increments over a two inch area with no screw driver. Only costs 65 bucks and works on any lever belt. For me it's made any and all prong belts obsolete. Even better than SBD since you get half inch increments.

If you don’t want to buy a belt, I totally get it bro, but please don’t do barbell squats without one. The name of the game is longevity, and you don’t want to miss out on gains due to injury. I recommend doing weighted Bulgarian split squats, walking lunges, and hip thrusts over the traditional barbell squat with a bad back. • @JustLeein
      @JustLeein  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nikoladrpa4908 yo! yeah, I see the same trend going on too. I have a theory on why people do so.
      1. The prong belt is a bit looser which many prefer on deadlifts. It's also a pain in the ass to tighten up the prong belt. Lastly, the prong belts are not nearly as chunky as the sbd belt out of the box.
      2. The sbd belt is a very stiff belt. It comes out of the box like a 2x4 plank. Only after hours of physical manipulation does it somewhat shape towards a human waist. Also, the sbd belt can get extremely tight. Often people prefer a tighter fit on squats rather than deadlifts.
      I could be way off, but that's where my guestimation is at when I see people rocking both pieces of equipment. :p

    • @JustLeein

      I have a 34 inch waist and I got a large. There's a bit a slack on my belt. I intend on getting bigger to fill it out. If you are 34 or less in waist (and plan to lose weight), you'll be better off with a medium.

      Its pretty expensive but it's a belt that'll outlast a lifetime. I use my rogue belt for deadlift it has a little give wich I like for deadlift. And squats I use my sbd belt.
