Looking forward to watching the rest of this series. I just finished installing a 420 rear end in my 332 and am wondering how your project will unfold here. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for all of your videos, you've already helped me several times. I just bought a really nice 430 garden tractor, but the middle freeze plug behind the injector pump needs replacing. Do you have any advice to remove/reinstall injector pump to access this area? I have another 430, and got the new one for a parts tractor, but it's really in very good condition, and I want to keep her going. Thanks
hey I do not know if you could help me out on my John Deere 300 the issue it has when we are in neutral the hydro pump transmission loads up so the engine cannot crank over
A lot of times if you rock it back and forth you can shift it. The detent can also be a bear at times. If you can shift with your hand, trace the rod back to the differential and see if you can use a screwdriver next to the frame or a pair of pliers to move the shift forks.
Sometimes a filter and fluid change can help if the system is plugged up. You may also want to investigate the linkages. Previously was it in high range and now it is in low range?
Yes is in high range. The hydrostatic lever does not go all the way up or in reverse. Yup probably linkage up in the dash maybe. I will change the transmission fluid and filter as it has 2,300 hrs on it.
Pretty stoked to watch this unfold. I bought a 430 last fall and it's stripped down and fixed a handful of things. The sheet metal and fiberglass hood are ready for paint. Since I got it I have been looking for a rear PTO set up and either just missed them or the ones I found were for parts. I found and bought a really nice one a fee weeks ago that was only online for 20 minutes complete with the drive shaft, clutch, gear reduction and the two brackets, bolts and even the wiring harness. Saturday Deere called me and the spring that goes in the drive shaft came in. I will start going back together this weekend. do you have any recommendations on a manual? I have been making my way through. but a comprehensive manual would be nice. A guy once told ne Deere quit making the 430 because they wouldn't break! lol
@@mmrbeef will the axle shaft from an F9xx transaxle work in a 430/420 transaxle? The parts manual show a different part number but a person in one of the John Deere groups claims they are interchangeable.
The rear axles themselves are slightly longer but the differential will mount right up to a 318. If you do not change the axles the tires will stick out a good bit wider.
Hello I am looking for a new deck for my old JD 415, my dealer tells me that it is no longer possible to order a complete new one, do you think that a used 50 C would fit it ? Or have you an other idear ; Jacques from France

Once I get ahead on organizing some parts I recently purchased I will get back to this project.

How do I receive your response to my questions?
I have a 430 lawn tractor and I can't get it out of neutral. Any suggestions?

Do you know where I can get a seal for the front and rear shafts of the transmission pump? Thank You for any help!
You should be able to order them from Deere. I don’t have the part numbers or the cross listed numbers off the top of my head.
@@mmrbeef No love there, Deere doesnt even list the pump in any of their diags, parts guys are lost. I did find the number for the rear one, cr7443.
The shaft in my pump is bad. M90161. Need help. I'm a veteran money's really tight. Would it be cheaper to find a pump
Will this fit a 318 John Deere mower
My 430 is sluggish. Mostly in reverse. Before I acquired the lawn tractor it would fly. New fluid and filter is what I am fixin to do.

Is the 400 different?

Congrats on the 430 and the Rear PTO find. There should be a couple videos this week that will be what you are looking for.
Or switch a 400 into a 300 as a upgrade?
What kind of transaxle assy is in a John Deere F935?
The F935 have a peerless differential hooked to a Sunstrand 15U pump. It’s basically a reversed set up to a 420/430.

I have a question so the rear speed lever has a in and an out
Correct, there is an in, middle, and out. Middle is neutral.
DO you know the ohm resistance for pto solenoid on J D 455? I have 8.5 ohm I think this is to much.
Will the rear axle from a 400 series fit in a 318

I am not familiar with a 50 C deck. Do you have a model number.

Metric vs SAE Dude...!
What about it? There are both metric and SAE fasteners on these machines.
