Always fun to hang out with old Steve fixing random engines, tractors, and what ever he's got around the place. I have a great respect for people who can seem to fix anything, especially engines. And I love it when something gets the "chooch" or the "Ole Gundy"
Really enjoying the tractor repair videos, I know how to change burner nozzles and tank filters in my sleep now after watching all your videos over the past couple of years , nice to watch you do other stuff also , you have plenty of projects to keep us watching for years at your place Cheers and regards Davy 🇹🇭
The market for these old John Deere tractors is only going up. Well-made, with no software blocks & updates. Nice when your hobby is a great investment. Steve teaching us how it is done!
Hey Steve, Your doing the stuff I enjoy doing at home. I call it tinkering with my toys. Snowmobile, lawn tractor, chain saw. The list goes on. I think it’s great you being able to use your Heating and Plumbing skills when your out working on them John Deer. Best tractor in my opinion. What a surprise the tractor runs! And sounds good. No smoke. Thanks for bringing us along.
I had one of those 318's It wouldn't charge because the key switch was bad. You got a new switch, but those terminals on the wires could be rusty and crusty. I'd make sure those were good. I'm jealous of your loaders. Great find!
15:55 Those Indak switches were used in everything... Craftsman lawn tractor I got when I was 12 had one, key was vertical by the fender shiftier. If left out water would get in it.
yeah, if that you goal everyone happy. you make heavy dime, and employ your hobby, and owner gets a good machine. And us seat polishers enjoyed ourselves! 🤩
My Dad has a 9 N Ford Ferguson Tractor that is rough on ignition switches. They never last very long. It is the same age as My Dad. Somebody put what they call a Shermon Step on it, so it has a High and low range and 3 forward regular gears and a reverse. It was built when they had leaded gasoline and the carburetor usually wants to run over and flood the engine because unleaded gas doesn't work good in it.
Steve, have you made a video of your entire yard equipment collection?? I've gotten to the point where I don't want too many duplicates of things. For example, two snow plow vehicles is enough for me to maintain.
Cool. Take the loaders give me the tracters. Lol. Can't believe ppl spend money on them tracters and thrash them. Good thing your saving them before they are to far gone.
Yeah, loaders for Deere tractors are bringing stupid money. I’m going to build my own for my 425. Be careful about where you connect power to the coil on an Onan engine. You can burn up the ignition pickup module under the flywheel. Those are expen$ive!
Enjoy your videos. Get kicked out of ‘blue glove club’? Based on your examples, I go thru a lot. I quit having hand problems. They work great outside and in the kitchen.
Hello Steve I have a 318 bought new in 1987. 2010 hours. Going strong but burns oil (valve guides). Let me know if you want to sell any P218 Onan engines. Kind Regards, Craig
Steve, stop putting so much money in that over worked truck, at your age you need to decide to retire, or get a new truck. You’ve done well, investing in those old cars beats any retirement CDs . You’re a very smart man. Get a smaller truck without all the stock, and limit the inventory. Even if you need to run home for a part.your fuel will be the same in the longrun
Interesting to see Steve work on machines like this. I had NO idea he had this interest. But, What is up with the KEY cluster hanging in the middle of his work??!! Does Not seem like him. Does yootoob tell these guys to do this? He's not the only one that does this. Maybe it's just me, but seems weird.
Haven't seen you around on the video Steven doing no plumbing or heat and air work you been working on these tractors the last couple of videos I seen you work must be kind of slow huh

Very cool! I started getting into watching small engine repairs on TH-cam and this video was satisfying seeing it turn over. Nice troubleshooting!
Next week, Mustie1 will be posting a boiler changeout video 😂
Glad to see big John up and running
I have a 88 240 I restored about five years ago runs like a top

Great videos , very enjoyable and informative. And your a great plumber too! Stay safe.
Hey think it just needs a capacitor and oil filter change! And new batteries for the thermostat! And possibly a new blower motor!
steves on the tractors again mama!!!! spark testers make life alot easier. no pulling the plug.
thanks steve.
When Steve asks "will it run" you know he's working his magic
Loves these new videos Steve.

Steve you are a man of many skills
Nice job Steve! Love the John Deere series.
Steve,you are amazing 👏
I think the condensor on the coil is just to keep it from interfering with old Tube type TV sets. Also old A.M. radios.
wow just wow.
Great job Steve.
I enjoy watching you whatever you’re fixing. Only problem when you work on your tractors, no helicopters. 😂

I love the John Deere videos
Like you I think it’s very interesting
Love your tractor videos
I didn't know you were a mechanic...good work if you can get it
That's the same switch that most riding lawn owners have. They all take that same key. You can also use a straight screwdriver if You loose Your key.
There is a neutral safety switch on the hydro control.
putting the bucket in the back works awesome digs down pretty far
Fantastic stuff!! ❤️🤘
Your grass is still green. Is that normal for December?
Really enjoy the lawnmower videos
It was cloudy here near Asheboro North Carolina today and I think it is supposed to rain tonight.
Nothing you can't fix! Well done
Good back yard shade tree mechanic 😂😂😂
good job steven
Steve John Deere good equipment
“We’re going in hot!”
Steve's a regular Deere whisperer 😁
I think some Case Brand Tractors have that kind of ignition switch too.
23:20 Looks like there is a fuel leak under the fuelfilter.....?
isn't there a safety switch under the seat most tractors wont start unles there is some weight in the seat closing the safety switch???
its disconnected
Hello Steve!
My Dad doesn't like Champion Brand Spark Plugs. They usually don't last very long.
Steve, have you made a video of your entire yard equipment collection?? I've gotten to the point where I don't want too many duplicates of things. For example, two snow plow vehicles is enough for me to maintain.
I was wondering what you wanted for on of them loaders?
Hello Steve.
Yes Mustie1, it will run.
It wasn't charging! Did you leave us with a cliffhanger?
Cool. Take the loaders give me the tracters. Lol. Can't believe ppl spend money on them tracters and thrash them. Good thing your saving them before they are to far gone.

Miss Molly is probably getting lazy and won't want to go back to work.
👍

Vroom... 🙂
Gee, I wonder what's from New England?🤣🤣
Did you retire from HVAC
NO TRUCK IS IN SHOP BIG ISSUES
@@stevenlavimoniere How about using one of these tractors instead, pull a trailer with parts 🤣
You need to replace the points and condenser
That type of carburetor has a built in fuel pump
