In my science classes, I would take pics of the example slides, then put the picture in my notes & write down how to do them right under the pic. Super helpful.

@@prez2451 if you go to the website www.apple.com/shop/trade-in and scroll down a little bit to where it says "Select your device to get a trade-in estimate" it'll tell you exactly how much you'll get back. I think I got back $120ish to go towards buying the newer iPad Air and an apple pencil, but every little bit counts! Hope this helps!
i've used my ipad gen 6 (2018), an apple pencil and the onenote app for this last school year i'm a third year uni student and i can honestly say this is hands down the best thing i ever did!, you can insert your slides and write your notes right beside them so you always know what note was made about what point, you can use the split screen feature to have your book on one side and your notes on the other , you can easly rewrite notes to make them more orgnized without the guilt of wasting paper, you can save all the notes you toke from past cources easly, no need to carry pens, books, slides, paper as you can easly replace all of them with the ipad it's really great I LOVE IT only down side tho is you can't use it to upload homework or assignmants to blackboard
Some things I thought I think are worth mentioning: One Note: -It supports pressure sensitivity, so your strokes get thicker the more pressure you add. This makes your handwriting ten times better and more paper like - It also has a really good lasso tool which does exactly what the goodnote lasso tool does. - You can change your paper type, that means you get lined or boxed pages -It's really good to import pics and pdfs to write notes on. About the iPad and apple pencil thing: - Don't get an iPad Pro, it is super expensive especially for people who won't be using the hell out of it. - A great alternative is the iPad 6, has exactly half of all the features of the iPad Pro, and it supports Apple Pencil. This makes it really good for people using it for hobbies/studying. Also, it's half the price at $329. -If you're a college student, Apple has a really good student discount over its products!

I have brought my tablet to class to not only take notes but to also record the lecture. After wards I had write them and add in elements i missed but was able to record. This has saved me!
"Professors that talk really fast" My econs lecturer was a beast, 1.5hr class and she finishes it in 30 mins basically, I could barely take down any notes during her class
I had a lecturer for my Spectroscopy module (Chem degree) who, the first lecture we had with her, showed us the feedback she'd received from the two previous years. At the end of the semester, students have to submit anonymous feedback for lecturers and their teaching. She got a top score for the content, but a really low score for lecture flow. She showed us on the slide that most of her feedback was "moves on too fast, can't take notes quick enough and gain an understand the material at the same time". I thought she was going to say "I'm taking this on board and slowing down a bit for this module". No, she showed us all this and then said "well, this is MY lecture, so if you can't keep up, tough". So basically, HUNDREDS of students over MANY years have told her that she goes WAY too fast, and doesn't explain or answer questions (this is compared to all other lecturers they've had for the semester) and she thought that the problem wasn't with her, it was with the other hundreds of people. Needless to say, her module was consistently the one people had their lowest mark on.

This is absolutely what I needed to answer my question about going paperless and knowing when to use your laptop vs. ipad as I always have struggled to determine this by myself. THANK YOUUUU!!!
5:15 You could go to View>Paper size then customize your desired paper size and then save it as a template. To make it your default template: Go to Insert > Page Template > Always use a specific template, and then select the template you just made.
I got a bonus at my old job last year, and I opted to use it for an iPad and the new Apple Pencil (gen2). It was probably the most expensive indulgence I have ever made, and I was TERRIFIED to use it. I am heavy handed, so the screen was freaking me out some, even though I really liked the options for it. One of the things I purchased to make my life easier was a screen cover/protector. The one I have is a thicker plastic, but it doesn't affect the use of the screen at all. So if you, like me, are heavy handed and scared of using the screen, invest in a screen protector! I now use my iPad all the time and I am much more confident about using it.
That's also why I have qualms switching to 100% digital. When I was in high school my heavy hand writing left rough textured marks at the back of the page I wrote in
OneNote has page templates for business, academic, planners, decorative, etc., under the Insert tab, so you can set your page to 8.5x11. Remove the Page Title under the View tab. You're also able to select the color and size of your pen and lasso your text. One feature that would be nice to have is the zoom that GoodNotes has.
No you can't insert say a A4 page. It will show up as a picture inside of your original page. It doesn't have the ability to insert templates and has other so many issues.
@@MrGarg10may In OneNote on Windows Desktop you can set the page size to A4 or literally any other size you want, because you can set the actual size (or choose a preset size, like A4). You can import a PDF into OneNote but you're right that it sets it as an image rather than an actual PDF. You can create your own templates with anything and everything you put on a page, which I've done to create a gratitude journal with custom borders for each section, or put my company logo as a header.

I've just started digital note taking in the last few weeks. I'm an online student and now instead of printing out my slides etc from my lecturers I import them into GoodNotes on my iPad and write freely on there, adding blank pages if I need. This is whilst I'm in/watching class on my laptop. Saves so much space on my desk!
I've always been one to favor pen+paper notetaking because I felt that digital notetaking would be too bland, but this video really has me considering trying a tablet and stencil considering the customization and easy formatting, thanks!🌟

I am that person who would totally absolutely love writing notes on ipad at school (cause I always rewrited them again at home to make them more consistent). Sadly it wasn't there ten years ago :D
been doing fountain pens and handwritten for years. This is the first example of something that seems it may be able to incorporate the same charm and tactile feel of writing into note taking. Thanks for the video.

I am taking online courses to finish a major and just feel overwhelmed with figuring out the best route for note taking, organizing etc. I am not in a position to buy the iPad pro yet but the more i watch/read, it seems like this is the way to go. i've been using onenote for last semester and mostly for writing. so, i decided to get a better writing note app and you've convinced me to get the goodnotes! thank you for the video!
I always loved taking notes on paper but now that I really need to be sustainable I try to use only recycled paper and looking into digital notetaking as well. Maybe you can address that aspect in your videos too, more people need to be aware of our environmental changes, and this is a really good way to do that! (what you showed in the vid)
Using paper is better for the environment than using digital note taking. Paper can be easily recycled, but keeping your notes on a cloud uses a lot of energy to make the database server work.
You know more people buying ipads is way worse than “chopping down trees”. More ipads = more mining of metals such as cobalt and lithium in developing countries by children trying to earn enough money to get food. Mining ruins environment. Think about all the pollution that it will take to make just the battery of the ipad. And a lot of paper manufacturers use bamboo. And bamboo grows extremely fast. Also especially in the U.S they take trees down in a sustainable manner so there’s enough time for other trees to grow. Developing countries don’t even care about sustainability.
There's some information missing from this video. With One Note, while it's an endless document, you can set it to appear like Lined and Graph paper through the 'View' tab. The version of OneNote you're using is the app version, but there is a larger version included with Microsoft Office that offers some additional options. I like OneNote a lot better, bc I can import my professor's PowerPoint presentation slides into the page and take notes directly on them. Since Microsoft created the app, you can import any file/document from some of the Microsoft Office applications.
Is it after masters degree (or after graduate)? I’m a foreigner, so I’m not sure I’m studying for bachelor of law btw I hope you’re enjoying studying and researching
For me, as a college (high school) student, i use the iPad 2018 with the apple pencil and the two main apps i use for note taking are Apple Notes and GoodNotes 4. Because I'm a drama student, my classes are more or less practical based with a bit of theory, so what i do, is right at the end of each practical lesson, i use apple notes to simply note down the tasks/activities we did during that lesson, so then when it comes to me doing reflection sheets, i can just easily type up the tasks we did and then i can go into more detail about the lesson, without having to ask the teacher what we did. As for Goodnotes, i generally use this app to annotate pdf documents, articles etc, writing down notes for any research task i'm doing and then using my laptop to properly type it up and format it to the way i like it. I use a 2017 (non-touch bar) MacBook Pro, to type up any notes or assignment work. Then i would normally print it out to put it into my portfolio, which it's essentially a ring binder folder thing. Really liked the video! I may try Onenote when i go to university next year! :)
I like the idea of saving paper and just having an overall convenient means of having my information BUT I remember better when I write my notes. I've tried using a tablet and pen but it just wasn't the same.
My iPad Pro was an amazing tool for calculus. No more heaps of paper with solved exercises to look through. Also no more eraser droppings after making mistakes.
My iPad was the best investment in my education, being a science student who’s teachers provide slides with half the info (no time to type what’s already there + what the teacher is saying) so adding the PDF in one note I could write everything (or type if I felt like it) without having to print it
I find the “review & formatting” part of note taking extremely important, and enjoyable. Using boxes, bullets, white space, and underlining etc. is what makes hand written notes so much more powerful than typing into Word on a laptop. I like to go back later and fill out my notes when I have more time. It’s nice to be able to move my writing around on the page after the fact. I use GoodNotes for taking notes at work on my iPad Pro. I’m a corporate accountant.
Oh my god I just got OneNote on my computer and I can already tell that I'm going to use it so much!! Thank you Caitlin, you literally just saved my academic career!!!!!!!!
WOW this is amazing and I wish I was in school just to take digital notes but I think I can apply this to my regular day to day job instead :) Thanks for all the tips Caits xo
same im 24 now, all my cool shcool and university days are over but i still use these for planning, ideas, stuff to remember to use in my designs etc. no matter what, taking notes is really motivational as for me i can capture the essence and the motivation i had at that time in a fun way that i can always use it later on and get stuff done. And for someone like me who always keep forgetting, everything i learn, everything i wanted to do, i just forget, i have a goldfish brain, so this really helps to remember and keep coming back to check on stuff i once did or wanted to do lol.
I loved your video on this! I'm looking to pick up a tablet soon so I can start taking handwritten notes in one place instead of 50 notebooks. Also, not sure if anyone else needs a decent flashcard app, but Anki is a free tool that lets you create flashcards that you can sync across your devices (you can also use drawings, insert pictures, etc). I also really like that it dynamically shows you the material you actually need to learn (i.e. you'll see flashcards you get wrong more often so you can actually learn the material).
I changed to digital notes my last semester of college and I loved it. If you are considering it I highly recommend it! I was kicking myself the whole time for not changing to digital sooner. It’s just not that common in rural Missouri colleges.
Before coming to Canada, I knew that I wanted to be a paperless guy because carrying around notebooks is hard. After you are done school and you wanna check your lecture notes, it is difficult to look for your notebook, so my solution was to buy from my country a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 with S Pen. It is not the greatest one but it did a pretty nice job and helped me a lot taking my notes, in regards to what app did I use, I used Microsoft one note, which let me access to them on any device (other tablets, laptop or cellphone). I really liked your video explaining this to me, however, this note digital taking became popular latest 2019 and I arrived here in 2018, at that moment was more difficult to find videos like this one explaining and showing note tips. By the way, I studied at Conestoga College :)
I'm in high school and i've slowly digitalized my notes this last semester and honestly I love it. I use OneNote and what might be weird is that i write my notes down in class like a normally would and then type them up on OneNote. I love how clean and easy-to read my notes are and by both writing and typing my notes I remember them better. The reason I don't just type my notes in class is because one I don't type that fast and two some classes have a lot of diagrams and it takes a lot of time to draw them in class while trying to keep up with what the teacher is saying. So I'm wondering if investing in an Ipad Pro is worth it and if going completely digital is a good idea? Yes I know it depends on what works best for me but i wanted to see what worked for others before I go buy something I might not need.
Just started my digital note taking completely this semester on my iPad so it been a challenge not only to learn but to also its been great to make my life easier from the amount of items in my backpack as well as learning how I can take better notes and being organized, I am definitely going to try one note since it is a free program my school gives us
I'm starting my freshman year of college in 2 weeks so I'm watching tons of these videos to figure out if I should be taking handwritten notes or typed notes and to see what everyone else does so I have some background knowledge. I'll probably do both and see what works best but I'm worried about not typing fast enough
You retain info much better with handwritten notes. Whether thats on an ipad or on paper handwritten is better because you have to think about the words more than when you mindlessly type away.
For those who can't afford an Ipad, Get a Graphics/Drawing tablet! I recommend Wacom One graphics/drawing tablet, it's only 35.99 on Amazon right now which is really affordable (You don't have to buy one with a screen btw). You can connect a graphics tablet/drawing tablet to your Laptop (Mac/Windows) and handwrite your notes on OneNote/word or any software you want. They take some getting used to, your handwriting might be bad at first but once you do it will be a really great tool.
I almost exclusively use my iPad and pencil for notes, as well as drawings and even typed notes because i have a keyboard case and, even tho the Bluetooth sometimes messes up and has a funny five, its generally faster and more efficient than my laptop (which is a lil old now and struggles a bit with all the google apps (which unfortunately my school has decided that Google is The Way To Go!) and some of the Microsoft stuff (tho a lot less) bless it). I find it works so much better to be able to write out my notes on my iPad and immediately switch to typing something (like a table) or inserting TH-cam links, etc. Also, as someone who has bad shoulders, it makes my bag so much lighter, not having to carry folders and notepads and massive pencil cases all in one bag. The only reason I don’t use it 100% of the time is because of the google apps being terrible mobile versions which are not at all optimised for the platform. Once iOS 13 is out tho, I’ll probably be exclusively using my iPad.
This is awesome !! Thank-you so much for sharing your experience !! I only had a semester left of uni when I started using the iPad for school so didn’t make sense for me to invest in the keyboard, but I could see it being a great all-in-one option with the keyboard for students who don’t need special programs for their courses
Great video! I used my iPad, a stylus (pre Apple pencil days), and goodnotes to take notes and annotate PDFs provided by Profs. I have used Notability and a few other note taking apps and imo, GoodNotes is by far the best. GoodNotes also has an iPhone and Mac version so you have access to your GoodNotes across devices right in the app.
i recently started using onenote as i just started my last year at university and it's honestly a game changer, can't believe i never took advantage of it. love the stylish fonts you incorporated into your notes but idk if i have the time to do all of that lol
After my first semester at college I went to take all of my notes on my iPad and I have no regrets, yes it’s expensive, but it is so much easier. There’s no papers falling out of binders or note books, I can write on slides, I can record my lectures and take pictures and add them right in the notes, plus I the iPad is small light and convenient
This is your best video yet! Thank you so much for making this, it’s so helpful. I’m still considering getting an iPad for digital note taking, and I know this will help with my decision :) 💖
I just bought myself an iPad for university and I haven’t been able to try it out for studying yet, but I’m trying to get used to GoodNotes before I go back to uni and I am loving it. I think this was the best decision I could make because I study Maths and I really wanted to have everything digitalised, but couldn’t do it with a laptop
Same :) I download (or purchase from etsy) handwritten (note-taking) fonts that look like a kid or a student's handwriting, my fave free font are Gaegu and Caroni. So I type instead of writing but it still gives the effect of handwriting.
Hey! This is a great video! I'm a Medical student and we have three day long classes 12 hours a day! I use OneNote to make notes in my Surface since last year also! My approach is little different but this looks awesome too!
Notion is also a good note taking app if you know how to use it. You can get templates online to make it aesthetically pleasing quickly, and you can also sort out all of your classes, and even add a personal profile all in the same base. There are plenty of templates to use and you can even add links to playlists for studying or links to classes or good websites to use for that class. There are plenty of tutorials on how to use Notion but they’re all fairly lengthy (can range usually from 30 minutes to an hour depending on how in depth it is) but there’s so much to unpack and most of the videos have sections so you can find answers to your questions with ease.
I’m starting college this year and I plan to purchase the iPad 6th gen just because it’s on the cheaper end even though i rather have a pro of course who wouldn’t it works better with my budget because I’m also purchasing a MacBook Air for my typing portion of notes and class work I love to hand write notes so I’m very exited to get my iPad but I’m so nervous to go paperless when it comes to text books do you find it easier to have them online or still hand flip the pages from an actual book? Great video keep up the great work!❤️
I haven’t been a student for some time and tech has really moved on since then so this is really useful to me. There are lots of topics I study in my personal space and I’m still trying to assimilate them in analogue ways. I’ll definitely be trying some of your suggestions. Thanks!
Love this, thank you so much! I see all these girls in my classes taking notes on their tablets and it looks way cooler and more fun than what I do on Microsoft Word. I didn't even know about One Note.
Thank you so much for answering the biggest burning question that I have. I now know that I can export notes generated in Good Notes and then export them into One Note.
This video helped me solve a lot of the issues I faced with digital note-taking! I was debating whether to transfer everything from OneNote to Goodnotes but I guess I could just export everything to OneNote!
Just an addition: on onenote, if you go to view, you also have the option to have your file look like looseleaf or gridded paper, so its easier to write straight!!
Your video is amazing.♥️Well I also do love onenote365 for taking notes, but 1 that make me not really convenient is when we want to print out the notes, one notes doesn’t have any boundaries for paper size

Not to mention school/college lockers are not THE BEST lockers xp
Hey! In our college too! Like the hell do we always need papers?!
this is def about taking notes in US universities.
An Additional tip I didn't see you mention is you can also "print" your teachers handouts/readings/powerpoints into onenote. I definitely have done that on more than one occasion to take notes on the side of it
Pls how do you do it
@@leonorawilliams9440 In your print screen, where you chose which printer you want to use, chose "OneNote2016" is may be different on your system but that'e the general idea of how to print handouts into one note
@@leonorawilliams9440 Another way to do it is ti make sure the file is in pdf form, and then just drag the file into onenote, and you can select yes to the "Insert this pdf" message that pops up
I think this a great feature. I just never use it cuz I don’t like how they insert it as images and make every slide super huge
I just traded in my older iPad Air in to get some credit to go towards the newest iPad Air/Pencil so I could go digital this semester. Best. Investment. Ever. I wish I had done this sooner!
Oh smart ! Yeah it’s a game changer 🙈😍
Me too but this semester I did not take any notes digitally, only for revision... and I wish I would have worked more with my ipad because it really is amazing!!!
I'm also doing the same!! I'm selling my old iPad air to buy a newer one with apple pencil support. Let's see how do I do becoming paperless this semester! I'm really excited about it!!
How much trade in value for an iPad Air 2 128 gigs?
@@prez2451 if you go to the website www.apple.com/shop/trade-in and scroll down a little bit to where it says "Select your device to get a trade-in estimate" it'll tell you exactly how much you'll get back. You just have to answer a couple basic questions regarding the condition it is in and the serial number of the iPad. I can already tell you it's not going to be much.
Caitlin: Doesnt have to pinterest worthy notes
5mins later: Shows us an example of pinterest worthy notes
*no hate*
Some things I thought I think are worth mentioning:
One Note:
-It supports pressure sensitivity, so your strokes get thicker the more pressure you add. This makes your handwriting ten times better and more paper like
- It also has a really good lasso tool which does exactly what the goodnote lasso tool does.
- You can change your paper type, that means you get lined or boxed pages
-It's really good to import pics and pdfs to write notes on.
About the iPad and apple pencil thing:
- Don't get an iPad Pro, it is super expensive especially for people who won't be using the hell out of it.
- A great alternative is the iPad 6, has exactly half of all the features of the iPad Pro, and it supports Apple Pencil. This makes it really good for people using it for hobbies/studying. Also, it's half the price at $329.
-If you're a college student, Apple has a really good student discount over its products!
dude you had the opportunity to say "note worthy" and you missed it
I got the ipad pro 10.5 in for $450! It’s not crazy expensive and it works wonderfully
My school uses the iPad 6 n ur right it’s pretty good
@@liaharv8161 how so? student discount?
Jen Jiang Nope, I just found a great deal on Ebay, it came with a screen protector and a leather case. Last time I checked there were multiple of these deals on Ebay, you just gotta look hard enough haha
I have brought my tablet to class to not only take notes but to also record the lecture. After wards I had write them and add in elements i missed but was able to record. This has saved me!
"Professors that talk really fast"
My econs lecturer was a beast, 1.5hr class and she finishes it in 30 mins
basically, I could barely take down any notes during her class
Needless to say, her module was consistently the one people had their lowest mark on.
dam. my teachers all ask if we’re done and if we ain’t they wait a minute or two and ask until the majority answer is yes. if it takes too long they just move on and put the powerpoint on google classroom
I started writing in cursive in college just so I could take notes faster. And they say cursive isn’t useful anymore
@@EyeconicLaura omg this! Yep at one point I went back to my blue ink fountain pen (French school TM) just because it glides over the paper so much faster. The price is horribly inky hands though
BEAST LMAO
I'm going to buy an ipad Pro.
But first
lemme ask my dad
Go for a Surface Pro 6 instead. Way better!
@@TheRadLion really? What's the difference? I don't know very much about these things :D
@@skylathomson2909 suface go 6 is a full fledged computer since it has Windows 10. The Lion no its not, I had it and it was absolute garbage, the ipad is definitely better. I need to sell my surface lol
I went back to college last year and my iPad was so helpful, especially around exam time. Plus all my lecturers thought it was really cool
Aww that’s awesome ! 👌🏼😍
I used the surface pro 4 all through my engineering masters program, and it was perfect. I still have all my notes in one note and accessible from anywhere, even now that I'm using a surface pro 7.I love the tips in your video, looking forward to more.
This is absolutely what I needed to answer my question about going paperless and knowing when to use your laptop vs. ipad as I always have struggled to determine this by myself. THANK YOUUUU!!!
5:15
You could go to View>Paper size
then customize your desired paper size and then save it as a template.
To make it your default template:
Go to Insert > Page Template > Always use a specific template, and then select the template you just made.
yessss i do the same thing, but i think that she uses onenote for windows 10, wich is another version and doesn´t have that option😔
I'm a LOOOOOOONG way past university age, but i do have numerous times when i need to take notes. I bought my iPad pencil about a year ago and never got around to using it. Then you come along in my youtube feed and show me how. Thank you! Thanks for resisting the tempation to give us a Demo of OneNote or Goodnotes. Instead you showed us how you take notes. That's a very different thing. In a demo you owant to show us how everything in teh software works, whether you'd use it or not. instead, you showed us what was useful to you and that's FAR more useful. So thank you again.
This video is so well done and edited so nicely, getting an iPad Pro for school so thank you love for the video!!
Ohh I love saving space ! Haha 🙌😍🤣 glad it’s been working for you Sarah :))
I've always been one to favor pen+paper notetaking because I felt that digital notetaking would be too bland, but this video really has me considering trying a tablet and stencil considering the customization and easy formatting, thanks!🌟
You Have Never Turned In A Mid-Termed Paper In Cursive Like Me. I’m Sixty Three And When I Started Higher Education I Had One Of The Best Penmanship In The Class. Writing Is An Art And Not Too Many People See It That Way Today. This Is Opening A Whole New World To Me. Thank You For The Video.
08:35 If you want to format the exact same font as something else, use “format” function (which can be found next to Paste under the Home Tab).
GoodNotes, LaTeX and VSCode along with One drive.. that's the perfect setup for me.
I am that person who would totally absolutely love writing notes on ipad at school (cause I always rewrited them again at home to make them more consistent). Sadly it wasn't there ten years ago :D
Rewriting your notes is actually a good thing. It helps you learn better.
Please do a short and small tutorial on how to colour drop in OneNote. I myself do not know and many other people are also asking how you do it.
I’m going into freshman year and my high school gives us iPads so I’m so grateful for that
been doing fountain pens and handwritten for years. This is the first example of something that seems it may be able to incorporate the same charm and tactile feel of writing into note taking. Thanks for the video.
Going full digital this semester with a new ipad air+stylus. Definitely using this video as a start :D thank you!!
Same here bruh 😆.. i just cant wait my ipad air to arrive😁
I am a returning mature student and I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for posting this extremely helpful video! I am taking online courses to finish a major and just feel overwhelmed with figuring out the best route for note taking, organizing etc. I am not in a position to buy the iPad pro yet but the more i watch/read, it seems like this is the way to go. I may settle on the low-end wacom writing tablet for $100 in the meantime, though I know it won't be ideal. Thanks again!
The levovo yoga’s are perfect for me since it can be used as a normal laptop or flipped around to be drawn on & comes with a stylus 😌
i just got mine, and it's fantastic!!!
Yes, The Lenovo Yoga 730 (or C930 if your willing to pay for more for looks and new model but same components) is perfect for any college student that would like to do both.
As someone has been working on onenote for some time, thank you for your tips on how to use it together with goodnotes! Now I feel more confident I can use my iPad as a true extension of my pre-existing laptop note-taking!
I got an iPad Mini with an Apple Pencil to do my notes, 11/10 experience ^^

How do you print your notes if there are no boundaries?
Starting at U of T in a couple of weeks and this was so useful. Looking forward to making good use of One Note, Goodnote and my iPad Pro! Thanks, Caitlin.
I've bought the s6 lite, and had no idea how to do digital notes and your video really helped. Thankyou😊
THANK YOU!! I'll be a freshman next month and your pointing out of features within each app is helpful for me to discern how my note-taking system will turn out.
i've been using onenote for last semester and mostly for writing. so, i decided to get a better writing note app and you've convinced me to get the goodnotes! thank you for the video!
She is on an iPad , there’s no native support for the full desktop app
What if I don't want an endless page in onenote
I switched to typing my in class notes this semester. I still do all my reading notes by hand but that's mostly because I'm a huge stationery nerd
I just finished university and graduating next November. I wish I knew about this channel beforehand. Keep doing what you are doing!
IN LOVE with this editing style!!!

@@UshankaMaster in US, many PhD programs don't require a masters degree.
Azia S There is actual research that shows the act of writing actually helps people remember information better.
Paperlike or the cheaper brands. Maybe you dont use apple pencil and iPad Pro esp Goodnotes app or any other tablet with 9ms latency
I kinda agree with you. Honestly, I don’t get one notes very well. Good notes feel very comfortable! Worth every penny.
Thanks cuz xoxo 😍❤️ oh absolutely-I’m still using these tips for work now !
May be you can start digital planning now :)
same im 24 now, all my cool shcool and university days are over but i still use these for planning, ideas, stuff to remember to use in my designs etc. no matter what, taking notes is really motivational as for me i can capture the essence and the motivation i had at that time in a fun way that i can always use it later on and get stuff done.
And for someone like me who always keep forgetting, everything i learn, everything i wanted to do, i just forget, i have a goldfish brain, so this really helps to remember and keep coming back to check on stuff i once did or wanted to do lol.
Bought an iPad Air 4 and Apple Pencil because of you and I love taking notes on notability and good notes ! I love taking notes now.
Excellent tips! I use OneNote on my iPad but I will now be incorporating Good Notes into my workflow.
Emaan Rana i switched to digital notes on my ipad this past year and i LOVED it
Just started my digital note taking completely this semester on my iPad so it been a challenge not only to learn but to also its been great to make my life easier from the amount of items in my backpack as well as learning how I can take better notes and being organized, I am definitely going to try one note since it is a free program my school gives us
YAS GIRL!!! I’m so happy for this. I’m a sophomore in college, and I have been debating on going digital with my college notes.
Happy to deliver !! Hope it helps :D
I write shorthand -- great for fast talking professors. Got tons of notepads but thinking of going digital. This was great.
I'm starting my freshman year of college in 2 weeks so I'm watching tons of these videos to figure out if I should be taking handwritten notes or typed notes and to see what everyone else does so I have some background knowledge. I'll probably do both and see what works best but I'm worried about not typing fast enough
Its been two weeks now. Have you decided yet? I am very curious :o
Also you can use xournal++ for writing is very good better than OneNote
Kim Guo i have the 2018 model. (It’s literally just called iPad 2018 lol)
Your videos are so calming and aesthetically pleasing but also so informative - this is my second time watching this video lol. THANK YOU
i recently started using onenote as i just started my last year at university and it's honestly a game changer, can't believe i never took advantage of it. love the stylish fonts you incorporated into your notes but idk if i have the time to do all of that lol
Now I wish I had seen a video like this before getting this close (1 week to be precise) to graduate from university...
I've already graduated with two degrees so I don't know WHY I'm here but I am LOVING IT!
I went paperless back in January. I think I finally have enough notes to make a video on it lol
Oh you are so sweet, Victoria ! Thanks for the love ❤️ good luck with your decision :)
I think a hybrid between paper and digital works best for me! :)
Thanks for the video Caitlin
Same :) I download (or purchase from etsy) handwritten (note-taking) fonts that look like a kid or a student's handwriting, my fave free font are Gaegu and Caroni. So I type instead of writing but it still gives the effect of handwriting.
Thank you for your helpful clip, I'm struggling at taking note and writing while i can't decide which devices i should use, you've been a life saver
This video is incredibly well done in structure, aesthetics, content and edition. Thank you very much for your insights.
Hey! This is a great video! I'm a Medical student and we have three day long classes 12 hours a day! I use OneNote to make notes in my Surface since last year also! My approach is little different but this looks awesome too!
This video way more realistic and practical for a digital note taking content, great job! P.S Going to uni this year, wish me luck
Thanks!
I have the same Lenovo. Havent tried the stylus but will start to do digital note taking!
Love this, thank you so much! I see all these girls in my classes taking notes on their tablets and it looks way cooler and more fun than what I do on Microsoft Word. I didn't even know about One Note.
dude, this video made me feel so poor lmao
xD same
Heck yeah lol
i feel u haha
Don't worry I have the solution you can use a drawing tablet with xournal way better than OneNote. I have a $300 laptop and a $33 drawing tablet
Thank you so much for answering the biggest burning question that I have. I now know that I can export notes generated in Good Notes and then export them into One Note.
The airplane autopilot scene was on point!!!!!! Thanks for your humor :-)
This video helped me solve a lot of the issues I faced with digital note-taking! I was debating whether to transfer everything from OneNote to Goodnotes but I guess I could just export everything to OneNote!
I could never study from printouts. I had to write them out .
Just an addition: on onenote, if you go to view, you also have the option to have your file look like looseleaf or gridded paper, so its easier to write straight!!
Finally here! The video everyone has been waiting for! 💕💕💕💕😍😍😍
