It's so sad because sunny's voice was heavily underutilized. Also she got insulted by her voice coach which led her to being not confident with her voice. Such a wasted potential.

I think she did really well. Resonant C5 in the second chorus, light mix Eb5 with some support near the end. Still strained most of the Eb5s but I'm just happy she's still got it.

I'm not too familiar with them but as far as I'm aware Raina head voice isn't as full as Sunny nor Narsha, Suhyun is still relatively a bit under-developed compared to the girls here, while Minkyung and Boram don't have a consistent supported head voice.

I wanna ask something. Mix is generally taken as the biggest factor when judging contemporary singers but do you know a case where someone who has a better mix but is not better than someone who has a weaker mix?
If we do look at it in a more balanced standpoint (Mix, HV, Mid range and LW taken into account equally) what would be the ranking between
Taeyeon, Ailee, Hyolyn, Lina, Luna, Shannon Williams, Bada, Eunji, Son Seungyeon, Lena Park, Wendy, Uji, Jimin of 15&?
There’re quite a few actually: Baek Yerin has a better mix than Wendy, Eunji has a better mix than Jamie, Seungkwan has a better mix than Baekhyun, Park Hyoshin and Naul has better mix than Jung Dongha,..
I’m not sure cause it depends on many other things and I don’t think it’s plausible to judge each register the same~

@cutiieeepatootieee yes and less pushed above G4 as well. Baek also strained a handful of A4s last year so for now I’m not seeing his mix as strong as Seungkwan’s.

really really thankful for the support 🙏 As for Lena yes I'd say her head voice is currently the most developed but low range wise, Uji is at least on par with her in terms of support (Eb3) and perhaps tone production ^^

Let’s see strongest vocal line ever would be CSJH The Grace, if we also account vocal oriented units then Big Mama, Davichi, 15& and MMM are up there as well. Right now it’s no doubt MMM. Most agile female KPop vocalist would be Ann One with Ailee trailing right behind.

Ock Joo Hyun based on these clips seems to be doing a lot of musical theatre. I presume head voice is central to her singing i.e. she's a more frequent user of HV. Why is she ranked lower though? Genuinely asking coz I'm not really familiar with all of them.

@@ReggieVu she’s good down to G3/G#3 and she has a supported F3 too. Imo she supports up to B4 and she has a C5 too but she could work on her vibrato and tension. Do u have the link for her head voice?
@@culturedswine4003 if you are referring to her F3 in Let It Go then I genuinely think that note was done on a lowered larynx even tho tone and placement were very good. In the Best Part cover she also lowered larynx on A3 but probably just for effect or a bad moment cause G#3 usually don't seem much of a problem for her. I'm not sure about G3 tho. Above average agility also. Mix-wise she has done multiple nice B4s but also strained a handful others. She even strained some Bb4s in Let It Go. All in all her consistency is still to be observed a bit more, but the potential is plenty. Ah about her head voice I don't remember the exact perf, but it should be in one of her compilations.
@@ReggieVu on a completely biased perspective, I love how good she sounds in mix. She sounds better when she strains than 99% of idols I’ve heard

Lina is more well rounded imo,Lina's mix is better she can resonate Eb5 and support E5,her Head voice is 2 notes below Luna's support,and i'm not fully sure about mentioning their lows since i only know Luna's lows.
Lina’s the best SM Soprano. Her head voice even thought does not carry support as high as Luna but its fullness is arguably way more present while Luna can be a bit nasal in the lower head range.

Yeonji's head voice is better than Luna(and is the best here). She has a fuller sound, despite supporting a semitone lower.
I'm happy to see DIA here, she's so underrated! Same with Lina.
Also, Yeonji's first G5 was actually a G#5.
