Dumb and stupid....is it worth it ?? Don't think so......on top of that most will go for plastic surgeries........they don't look natural selves.......hair colours and so on....... it's sad they 're so insecure with themselves .and that lead to all others.......tq
Shirley Cameron dont say dumb and stupid. It’s really disgraceful. Koreans have insecurities that they would change anything to make their insecurities patched up.
Shirley Cameron k firstly, it’s not dumb and stupid if being an idol is really what they want. There’s a lot of pressure, of course, and they are overworked, but when they debut, they’re happy. Secondly, the different hair colours are the concepts for the songs and albums. No one is being tortured with hair dye, it’s not a bad thing despite dying hair endlessly will damage their natural hair. Lastly, most of them go through hard times. It’s a lot of pressure being a trainee and hard work must be put into it. Although some are insecure, many are confident and they encourage others. Being insecure doesn’t lead others into being insecure.
Shirley Cameron you probably don’t think it’s worth the hard work because being an idol isn’t your dream. But many young people are happy when they sing, dance, and perform. The job that you want, the dream that you want, what you want to do in life, are you willing to work hard for it? If you are, then you’re just like those trainees. They think it’s worth it because they’re grasping at their dreams, and you will too, when you’re in the process of grabbing ahold of your dream
That's why idol's and trainee's deserve respect, we have to support them because their the ones who are putting all the work in, they're the ones who are sacrificing youth and freedom, we have to treat them with compassion, and maybe in the future when Kpop gains more exposure in the western, companies can change too.
cherry blossom are you kidding? They’re being forced into doing this.. the only people disrespecting them are those that make them do this and those that glorify celebrity culture.. the world doesn’t need a million Disney-style performers but hey if there’s money to make then you can be certain that someone is taking advantage of these young people
I know, I think it’s quite sad really. People shouldn’t need to suffer this much to be happy. I mean gosh yeah they’re beautiful and I really like how they look, but I would never do that cause I think u should love yourself. And if you wanna become a famous singer there are others ways, I mean, look at Adele she doesn’t have a perfect body or anything but me and a huge amount of people love her for her voice and creative ideas. Or even Billie Eilish. She’s my favorite artist for her voice and songs and the fact that she is not perfect and has her own problems and that she is super honest about it just makes me admire her more.
It’s also so sad when you realise how little money they get from it. I remember a while ago seeing the breakdown of SM Entertainment’s income, and I can’t remember seeing a good amount going to the idols. Some amazing music and talent comes out of Kpop, but it is heartbreaking knowing what harsh treatment is behind it all. There’s so much that we don’t see that goes on behind it all, and I understand that there is bad in many industries across the world, but things hit harder when you see or hear of it - it really brings it back to reality. I wish people could do what they love with the talent they have, and not be pushed over the brink to fit a particular structure or mould. It’s like some forget that they are people and not just idols to be trained and make a name of the companies.
i mean it could be to make the company more known, like if they're flexible people are like "oh did you see this idol that is so flexible?" kinda like that
They'll be singing and dancing for quite an amount of time per day, if you're not flexible then you'll get stiffer and stiffer which can affect your performance on stage.. if you dont have charm/charisma then the only thing you can rely on is your performance

Imagine dedicating yourself for years of this grueling training only to be rejected, your dreams crushed and with nothing to show for all the hard work.
It seems to me that they deliberately keep the trainees on the courses, even if they know that they have no chance on the market. This only generates more money for these companies (which I think are dubious when I see what's in the documentary).

As someone who did ballet. Yes pushing a person down for splits is a thing but WITHIN REASON! Yes we push splits down because it is ballet but we also DONT WANT TO HURT THEM! If the dancer is screaming out of pain YOU STOP! You do it again later in their own pace that doesn’t damage the dancer! The way the instructor literally dragged Mizuho could damage her ham strings and damage her leg muscles! This can even lead to permanent damage! Yes push your dancers for them to become better. But not in the method where it physically damages them! Also emotionally too! This is disgusting.
Exactly! I'm not a dancer; I'm a classically trained singer, but it's the same with us...We never push the voice beyond what it can handle. If you feel pain, it means something is wrong and forcing yourself to sing in such a way can lead to permanent damage. Our bodies are our instruments. We have to treat it with respect.
Exactly I’m a figure skater, and the entire point of pushing someone in the splits in to feel a deeper stretch and get slightly farther down than last time. Not to push so hard someone cries.

I think it’s buttering her up before they dish out the real punishment which is kicking her from the debut. It’s to soften the blow when she realizes she’s the only one that won’t make it.
I think they also did it on purpose for the other girls. They knew she wasn't going to cut it, and praised her while belittling the ones who did. A bit of manipulation. 'Oh look, she did great but she was cut, I have to work harder and be better than her so that they don't kick me out.'
Lilia Alvarado I agree with you but I also think that it’s saying even if they are praised and do good it doesn’t always guaranteed that they’ll 1. Debut 2. Be successful 3. Wont regret it later And much more despite their hard work

Since there are many aspiring idol groups, it is also true that competition is very fierce. However, it is exaggerated to be so torturous. Most trainees say they are tired but happy to do what they want to do. It's just some small and medium-sized agencies that train in a foreign country like that way. So bts had a corm of this ,but not nearly as bad i dont think. Remember suga messed up his shoulder and never got it fixdd due to the fear of him being kicked out, and he most likely really would have been. But even still, bighit seemed to have treated them fairly well all things considered, they werent starved or berated constantly as theyve said and the boys mainly just pushed themselves on their own, because again it is a competition for all of them.
@Chuck Nourrizzz there are so many trainees who want to become an idol and to have successful career as idol. It's normal that they compete hard. It's not possible for all the trainees to succeed as idol. To be frank, other domains are not different. You can eanr much money like Bill gates? Is it easy to become a doctor or lawyer who have successful careers in your country? Nobody forced trainees to keep practicing to become an idol. That's their choice. Dreams can't be easily realized.
Even though I’m a Kpop Fan, I don’t support the way they train idols. I understand they need intense physical training. However, the instructors shouldn’t mentally break the trainees by spewing harsh words such “you don’t deserve to debut”, “you will never be an idol”, etc. These words which may seem to make a person tough, is actually doing the opposite. These trainees have feelings too, and harsh words won’t make them tough, it will hurt them. These painful words we say at another person could lead to their depression, or worse, suicide. These instructors (as well as us) must be mindful of what they say, since words can really affect a person. Yes, these idols need training, but positive reinforcement is the better way to go.
I agree on this on a personal and emotional level. I am diagnosed with Depression, I'm a perfectionist and I don't take harsh criticism very well because I feel like I'm not trying hard enough when I would practically feel like passing out when practicing. When I'm told something harsh, I seem unbothered until I go behind closed doors. I cry until I fall asleep or continue practicing non-stop until I am 100% sure there are NO mistakes. It's extremely difficult to live up to others expectations in idol life and real life in general, however the harsh training doesn't change my mind. I want to be an idol and I won't stop until I achieve it, even if I can't feel my legs by the end of the day.
ThatRandomGirl XP While I don’t have depression, I do have anxiety and it’s the same case for me. Sometimes, people even call me too sensitive and soft hearted, and only by being tough will I survive life. I took it personally and failed to acknowledge my feelings. It was really difficult. But now I’m learning, and I always go by the saying “What hurts you, hurts you.” I hope that you get through whatever you are going. You are not alone :)
I both agree and disagree with this. I know that giving really harsh comments to your trainees is just going to make them think that they're not good enough and will lower their esteem, and it's really seems like an unreasonable way to treat trainees (some of them being like, 15?? Which, if you're gonna give such harsh comments to a 15 year old, that's definitely gonna screw them up), but at the same time, her comments are literally nothing compared to antis, she's also mentally preparing them for the amount of hate they're going to receive after they debut.
Huge Weeb Yup! Feel free to speak your mind :) She could be mentally “preparing” the trainees, but in my opinion, I think she’s preparing them in an improper manner. No one teaches a person how painful getting burned is by burning him/her with fire. Just like that, you shouldn’t prepare a person for harsh remarks by being harsh with him/her. Anyway, thanks for your opinion!

Force it it's okey but force it like this isn't so good :// I remember the girls who cried for this lmao that was hard.
@@dancemymirror1491 yes I get that, I also dance regularly and my school once went for this maaaaajor competition so we were forced to split too, but sometimes people can't take too much of stretching and so it can end in bad bad things
Kim Taehyung my cousins did dance when they were around 8-14ish and all I can remember from it is one day going into their dance studio and watching one my cousins be pushed into splits against a wall and screaming.
I'm a dancer and being flexible really makes a difference. I'd say that's why they were being trained and tested. Splits aren't the only flexibility one should practice tho....
I think it's because they're such a small company that they want their idols to be good at EVERYTHING so they don't fail, because they're already doomed to fail
Flexibility is better for dance and reduces injuries. Amber did say it was a basic for girl groups. Splits are something you can work at and train for so its just another obstacle for picking out the most determined as well. It's like asking why you must take physics to graduate when you dont use it in daily life.

If you know literally nothing about what goes on in these asian countries when it comes to being an idol, I suggest you watch Perfect Blue, there’s a lot of similarities between korea and japan
@@spicyvro perfect blue is deadass my favorite movie ever but i don't think it helps anyone to understand how being an idol works? satoshi kon just used the idol theme in a fantasious, psychological horror movie and let's be honest mima isn't even an idol through the whole movie since she ditches her idol life since the beginning to become an actress so it doesn't really cover any aspects of an idol life, let alone a trainee one
a lot of companies have a contract with the trainee or idol stating that they cant say certain stuff about certain things so i lowkey think that would be difficult to work out
50kg is not underweight for a lot of people. Even the girl who was like 46 I wouldn't be worried about the weight on its own. The diet slightly, and the schedule is a bit too strict, but other than that this really isn't as bad as people are making it out to be and as others have said, it isn't representative of a lot of companies. It's just that over in the west we tend to encourage people to give up & not bother with anything, eat whatever and not exercise. Then we try to force them to accept the way they look because trying to lose weight and/or getting a cosmetic procedure done is evil and makes you fake. Generally speaking. There are certainly some notes we should be taking from these companies.
it's only underweight if you're tall-ish. not only that, but bmi is catered to caucasian people; asians and black people do not experience the symptoms of being underweight until a significantly lower bmi.
Yeah, bmi doesn't take into account very much at all. If you have a lot of muscle your weight and therefore bmi might be quite high even if you're healthy with no excess fat. I'm around 58kg, 175cm, white if it matters & I do not look underweight at all, & my bmi would suggest I'm almost underweight. At my goal weight my bmi would be like 16 and 18 is considered the borderline for being underweight. And this is using the nhs calculator which checks other factors too. But I have a healthy diet, exercise a lot, no serious health issues, low body fat and some visible muscle. The only people bmi really works for is people who have a lot of excess fat in which case they'd already know they're overweight.
I get that BMI isn't a perfect indicator of health and that there are differences in what's considered a healthy BMI for Asians vs Caucasians. But we all heard her describe her diet, she's eating something like 300 calories a day ? I'm not sure how we all aren't in agreement--that's just not enough calories for an adult woman who is already slim. I feel like this discussion happens all the time in kpop Fandom, a kpop idol or trainee will reveal their diet and instead of acknowledging that they aren't eating much, the discussion slides into how inaccurate BMI can be or how that idol is just naturally thin--they're literally explaining their very low calorie diets. They're thin because they eat very carefully and exercise a lot. It's almost like there's this mass delusion that all kpop idols are just all naturally thin--what a coincidence. Furthermore, their training just seems bizarre. What benefit is there to exercising 7 hours a day, everyday--at some point, you run into diminished returns. Even pro athletes don't train that much, because at some point it just doesn't help you improve. You hear stories about trainees waiting 6 or 7 years to debut and its just baffling--they're training to sing and dance, not to perform brain surgery. I know they also have language and ethics training, but it just seems like an excuse to put the trainees further into the companies debt or to keep other companies from snatching up talented trainees. And if they allowed trainees to debut younger, that extends the idols career (I don't think most idols really work past 30 or so?) and thus brings in more money for the company. Anyway, something there doesn't add up, and I'm sure I don't understand the bigger picture of the idol industry--that's by design, of course. I'm sure it's in the companies interest to keep the most unethical parts of training out of the public eye. I just wish the Fandom thought a little more critically about the industry instead of believing whatever an idol tells them. Just because you see an idol eating on camera or talking about how much they love food--it doesn't mean they eat like that all the time.
we don't hate them for skinny or fat but the fact is they are untalented singers as well as do cringe dance step which if you use in annual function you will look total Clown more than plastic beauty they don't have anything.
I hope Korean agencies realize that it's not just about hardwork and following the same formula, It's also about being different and standing out. Just look at MAMAMOO'S Hwasa. She's tan and curvy, which is a big no to the Kpop world. But she's still shining because she's naturally talented and just be herself.
Fr and (no hate here) Moonbyul is not the typical feminine girl and is not great at dancing, but she has a charming personality n is very cute when she talk
But girls like Hwasa have to be super mentally strong, they get judged constantly by netizens, the sheer amount of hate she's gotten would break a ton of people and has as many idols considered ''curvy'' go on insane diets just to be told they looked better curvy, just to gain the weight back and get hate again.
Even though hwasa is considered "curvy", it doesn't change the fact from the beginning of her career (since her debut with mamamoo) she was also under 50kg, up until more recently in the past couple years. She looks more curvier than she actually is because of her height, she's only 5'3 and rumoured to be even shorter. Her official weight is released as 43kg (So yeah she is hella thin, but the sadder part is that in comparison, everyone else is even thinner). So It's not just about being "curvy" or looking "curvy" nor is a good example of it.
I don’t understand why people treat it like it’s normal. Korean entertainment industry has the worst work environment with tons of scandals. Instead of supporting idols while ignoring their pain, maybe it’s time to regulate the industry so it’s healthier
A girl “couldn’t even drink water” and another ate so little she thought she was about to die let’s all let that sink in to everyone who thinks KPOP stars and trainees have it easy and now you wish to be them think again we probably couldn’t do what they have put themselves through if this happened to us we’d probably end up fainting regularly and being in the hospital for being underweight and they are happy about it One is even ill and still doesn’t take even a day off for herself this isn’t right It’s so sad
@are you kirring mi irrriya?? Well said!! No chance at glory could ever be worth that level of abuse... *especially* if you have a 98% chance of not making the cut.
this video is a bit disheartening but it's the harsh reality of what idols have to go through. some of them have even gotten treated worse than this. i feel bad for mizuho but i'm glad that this video exists. i see a lot of young kpop fans who dream of becoming just like their favorite idols and they think it's as easy as just passing the audition and becoming a trainee. they have skewed images of what it means to be an idol. they only see the glitz and glam side that idols show on stage without knowing (and sometimes not caring) about the darker side, the side where they have to starve themselves and practice all day, only to be told they aren't good enough. or when their emotional, mental, and physical health deteriorates because of all the stress and pressure that comes with it. they have to go through all this and there's not even a guarantee that they'll get anywhere. it just really pains me when i see people talk about wanting to become idols because a lot of them don't know the half of what that really means. it's okay to have dreams and i definitely encourage you to, but i hope those that are considering venturing into this career will reconsider. please do your research and take your time understanding the requirements and risks associated with being a kpop idol. just stay safe and good luck ♡
I am glad you took your time to write. But you still people can be K-pop idols I don't know whether you know about Z-pop . Z-pop is similar to K-pop but they are not harsh on their idols they don't starve them and the most amazing thing about them is that they accept every skin colour, every body type and every nationalities also it's a new pop who started their first batch of Z-pop idols in 2019. So those who plan for being a K-pop idol can audition in Z-pop . And I know that Z-pop treats their idols way better than this because I've been seeing them from a. Long time and watching their videos also the idols are allowed to be friends with the opposite gender. Secondly it's emergimg and it needs idols so talented teens or people can go audition for Z-pop. Thirdly if not Z-pop then you can just learn Korean upload cover songs on TH-cam and you'll get what you desire for because TH-cam is a transparent form to represent your talent so you'll get justice there eventually
Which is why I probably won’t be auditioning for any k-pop companies, my sister actually recommended me to audition for z-pop since her friend passed it and they are not treating her badly at all, i think one of the groups are call z-girls and the Indian girl only had to train for a few months so I think you do have a chance of debuting, i don’t want to be a kpop idol but I don’t wanna crush my dreams either so here I am
Yashvi Savla i did submit one to jyp but they never replied, ive been wondering if i should audition for sm or not, I mean I have the guts but im scared i will just quit after a few years or months.

But know I dream of being a professional break dancer bc it is just my new passion ❤

All of these women are better than that company.

I’m conflicted. I like a lot of K-Pop, but I absolutely hate how the industry treats their trainees and idols.
That's why idol's and trainee's deserve respect, we have to support them because their the ones who are putting all the work in, they're the ones who are sacrificing youth and freedom, we have to treat them with compassion, and maybe in the future when Kpop gains more exposure in the western, companies can change too.
Some company are sh*t really
cherry blossom are you kidding? They’re being forced into doing this.. the only people disrespecting them are those that make them do this and those that glorify celebrity culture.. the world doesn’t need a million Disney-style performers but hey if there’s money to make then you can be certain that someone is taking advantage of these young people
I know, I think it’s quite sad really. People shouldn’t need to suffer this much to be happy. I mean gosh yeah they’re beautiful and I really like how they look, but I would never do that cause I think u should love yourself. And if you wanna become a famous singer there are others ways,
I mean, look at Adele she doesn’t have a perfect body or anything but me and a huge amount of people love her for her voice and creative ideas.

It’s okay if you’re not flexible. Not every idol is flexible such as Nayeon from Twice. Why they pushed the girls too hard ? 😔
i mean it could be to make the company more known, like if they're flexible people are like "oh did you see this idol that is so flexible?" kinda like that
They'll be singing and dancing for quite an amount of time per day, if you're not flexible then you'll get stiffer and stiffer which can affect your performance on stage.. if you dont have charm/charisma then the only thing you can rely on is your performance
Agree!
That was terrifying. Little by little let her go down and be flexible. I mean she screamed and cried. Also said it hurt a lot😥
The fans will notice and bitch about it

As someone who did ballet. Yes pushing a person down for splits is a thing but WITHIN REASON! Yes we push splits down because it is ballet but we also DONT WANT TO HURT THEM!

Many foreigners want to become idols, but in Korea, when selecting foreign idols, most Asian people are cast (Japanese and Chinese), or if they are Korean like Rosé, but their nationality is New Zealand. In Thailand, people with white faces are usually cast. (Minnie, Lisa, for example) And mixed blood is possible. It is actually difficult to debut as an idol in Korea unless you are particularly good at singing. You have to be fluent in Korean. There are many people who want to be an idol in Korea, so it is highly competitive. This is the reality
actually a little correction, in thailand its people with chinese descent that are mostly casted. Native thais are rare

I am a Korean, and I have an older sister who is a trainee in Korea. Of course, to be an idol, you have to be good at dancing and singing. Since there are many aspiring idol groups, it is also true that competition is very fierce. However, it is exaggerated to be so torturous. Most trainees say they are tired but happy to do what they want to do. It's just some small and medium-sized agencies that train in a foreign country like that way. If you think most idols are like that, it's a misunderstanding. I want a lot of people to know about this.

This is soo sad, kpop companies should really start treating their trainees/idols with humanity.
@Chuck Nourrizzz you are right but reality is reality we can't do anything in fking worlds
The Kpop companies have their own rule of things compared to the U.S. even physical harm is allowed but it's the idols choices to stay or leave.
StarRoad is a piece of trash, there r so many osm companies..she can just try JYP..
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They want to make a superstar!! Look how proffesional KPOP idols are because of Korean system
But now I’m learning, and I always go by the saying “What hurts you, hurts you.”

Feel free to speak your mind :)
She could be mentally “preparing” the trainees, but in my opinion, I think she’s preparing them in an improper manner.

omg i love your channel so much. but yeah i agree it’s hard which is why i respect idols who do debut. they just worked so hard and deserve to be respected even if you don’t like their music. but i also think the people who enter this industry should know what they’re up against and not set a goal of becoming an idol if they know their body can’t physically and mentally handle the stress. i’m not supporting the way the some companies treat their idols but i think they should at least know what they’re doing

Wonder how she got the Position...
But seriously, forcing a split is literally the worst, like maybe try to stretch every day and you'll slowly be able to do it, there might not be enough time but still forcing a split can damage really bad
Edit: did not expect so many likes but ok
Edit: why am I getting so many likes
exactly like your muscles will just be stiffer than before because you're ripping them where's the logic
Like a old ballerine I can say that this is bad and good. My teacher used to make us the same every single day. I done it like in 3 week(? Or so, but other girls get it in less time.
EXACTLY, WHERE IS THE LOGIC.
Kim Taehyung my cousins did dance when they were around 8-14ish and all I can remember from it is one day going into their dance studio and watching one my cousins be pushed into splits against a wall and screaming.
“Get real” these two words pretty much summarize this whole kind of Korean idol thing 🤥
"I worked so hard, yet It still wasn't enough" *RELATABLE*
Why does this video remind me of math class...
Doker...omg I feel you
Omg yes that hit so hard
Same with me
Basically me with my grades
What does flexibility have to do with being an idol?? Some idols like seulgi are not flexible but they still can do well as an idol.
i think it’s just part of their evaluation, like it’s not THE most important thing but they still get tested
That's right 😂 I still remember how seulgi did splits 😂
I'm a dancer and being flexible really makes a difference. I'd say that's why they were being trained and tested. Splits aren't the only flexibility one should practice tho....
I think it's because they're such a small company that they want their idols to be good at EVERYTHING so they don't fail, because they're already doomed to fail
Flexibility is better for dance and reduces injuries. Amber did say it was a basic for girl groups. Splits are something you can work at and train for so its just another obstacle for picking out the most determined as well. It's like asking why you must take physics to graduate when you dont use it in daily life.
they celebrated being underweight together ...
let that sink in.
j-slay I realized that too....it's horrible.
It was awful
j-slay wow... ;-;
Still healthy weight
not gonna lie I would to only because I know I have Extra pounds to spare at the buffet...
Luckily there are lots of commpanys who don't treat their idols like this but many also do which is really heart breaking.....
I think foreigners have it A LOT harder than "pure Korean" trainees. This video kinda proved my point
@credited well you didn't heard about 'SM VS. chinese trainees'
@credited "those filthy chinese trainees" LMAO sorry you racist. SM spent their money to debut them yes of course, but they are less paid, treated less well and treated like toys compare to korean trainees, SO YEAH they go back home you idiot. Btw Chen is not chinese but Lay is.
@credited you got something against us Chinese people?
FlamingFang || Yeah prolly. Her/His comment just proved they were racist.
@credited Lol, good way to prove everyone wrong, I don't think you're doing a good job in convincing they're not prejudice.
this is so interesting. id love to see a whole documentary bout this sort of thing following a trainee for a long period of time.
there actually is, it used to be on netflix which is how i found it but i believe it was removed, you can still find it on youtube if you search 9 muses of star empire bbc
mimi rose thank you 🙏🏽
If you know literally nothing about what goes on in these asian countries when it comes to being an idol, I suggest you watch Perfect Blue, there’s a lot of similarities between korea and japan
@@spicyvro perfect blue is deadass my favorite movie ever but i don't think it helps anyone to understand how being an idol works? satoshi kon just used the idol theme in a fantasious, psychological horror movie and let's be honest mima isn't even an idol through the whole movie since she ditches her idol life since the beginning to become an actress so it doesn't really cover any aspects of an idol life, let alone a trainee one
a lot of companies have a contract with the trainee or idol stating that they cant say certain stuff about certain things so i lowkey think that would be difficult to work out
That's really horrible
My sister is planning to be a trainee but now I won't let her do it
Thank you. Really.
Good for u stopping her to do the suffering thing

it broke my heart when they *celebrated* being underweight.
50kg and below is not really under weight for a girl her height and age especially in Asia. (i weigh 48kg btw)
it's only underweight if you're tall-ish.
not only that, but bmi is catered to caucasian people; asians and black people do not experience the symptoms of being underweight until a significantly lower bmi.
This tells us to never hate on any kpop idol as they went through the same pain
Did j-hope go through this?
@@armyshope Every k-pop idols
Depends on the agency/company
we don't hate them for skinny or fat but the fact is they are untalented singers as well as do cringe dance step which if you use in annual function you will look total Clown more than plastic beauty they don't have anything.
Stanning Kpop Idols meaning this method to train them is right. Therefore you guys caused the pain for them
I hope Korean agencies realize that it's not just about hardwork and following the same formula, It's also about being different and standing out.
Linh Nguyen moonbyul is actually one of the better dancers haha
But girls like Hwasa have to be super mentally strong, they get judged constantly by netizens, the sheer amount of hate she's gotten would break a ton of people and has as many idols considered ''curvy'' go on insane diets just to be told they looked better curvy, just to gain the weight back and get hate again.
Joy Gayle yes you are very right 👍👍👍
Even though hwasa is considered "curvy", it doesn't change the fact from the beginning of her career (since her debut with mamamoo) she was also under 50kg, up until more recently in the past couple years.
First step to be a KPop Idol :
"Think twice!"
which Twice?
Syamil Muharror twice as in 2 times lol or maybe just a word pun

A girl “couldn’t even drink water” and another ate so little she thought she was about to die let’s all let that sink in to everyone who thinks KPOP stars and trainees have it easy and now you wish to be them think again we probably couldn’t do what they have put themselves through if this happened to us we’d probably end up fainting regularly and being in the hospital for being underweight and they are happy about it
One is even ill and still doesn’t take even a day off for herself this isn’t right
It’s so sad
i’m seriosly rethinking about auditioning even tho i really wanted to pursue being an idol for years. i don’t want to be treated like a slave..
@are you kirring mi irrriya?? Well said!! No chance at glory could ever be worth that level of abuse... *especially* if you have a 98% chance of not making the cut.
@Mizyo Yanchan can you drop the link please? I can't find it :(
this video is a bit disheartening but it's the harsh reality of what idols have to go through. some of them have even gotten treated worse than this. i feel bad for mizuho but i'm glad that this video exists. i see a lot of young kpop fans who dream of becoming just like their favorite idols and they think it's as easy as just passing the audition and becoming a trainee. they have skewed images of what it means to be an idol. they only see the glitz and glam side that idols show on stage without knowing (and sometimes not caring) about the darker side, the side where they have to starve themselves and practice all day, only to be told they aren't good enough. or when their emotional, mental, and physical health deteriorates because of all the stress and pressure that comes with it. they have to go through all this and there's not even a guarantee that they'll get anywhere. it just really pains me when i see people talk about wanting to become idols because a lot of them don't know the half of what that really means. it's okay to have dreams and i definitely encourage you to, but i hope those that are considering venturing into this career will reconsider. please do your research and take your time understanding the requirements and risks associated with being a kpop idol. just stay safe and good luck ♡
@@hxney164 yes I get it. But if you love singing maybe you should go for the auditions. You never know what it will hold for you
