It’s not your opinion. It’s fact. Balanced coordinated singing is technically right as long as there is no head and tongue shaking and no excessive veins. Balanced is correct if the tones are executed with the proper ratio of thickness and thinness and open throatedness. I’m sure people will tear me a new one but no technique is superior to true bel canto open throated, pharyngeal sound. Other techniques teach someone to sing to a microphone. The sound may be nice but the clarity and freedom and power will always be inferior in other singing styles. For example, A natural young Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin are prime examples of a properly coordinated and supported natural voice in popular music.
@@mizzyeye0211 Unfair, Sohyang's voice is very light and bright, shining more on the higher parts of her register, while Charice's is more full and rich, it is obviously gonna overpower Sohyang's, that was not a good pairing from the start. Everyone can! You're biased! There's only 1 mix voice which is Balance mix the rest are mixing technique such as heady mix and falsetto mix,Mask placement is not a mix its a headvoice,Lastly,Chesty mix is not a thing and a mix,its chest dominant NOT MIX NOT EVEN FULL CHEST VOICE
Very good job on this one! On point & accurate👌👌 Just some informations for people who just learned vocal pedagogy, there's also what we call as "chest-dominant mix" & "head-dominant mix". It's balanced mix but has slightly more proportion from either two ratios. Mariah & Whitney actually has chest-dominant mix & they become chestier as they ascend higher. Sohyang & Natalie are perfect examples of balanced mix. Nice one on that! They can keep a very balanced ratio in their entire supported range(with Sohyang & Natalie becomes a bit head-dominant in their top range, which is very understandable). & there's also what we call "heady vocal placement". In which mixed voice is placed in both mask & mostly head area to lighten the voice. Mariah did this quite often in the past to ease the tension of her chesty mix. One of the example is in this video actually, on her part. The opposite of it, "chesty vocal placement" also exist. Sohyang do this sometimes along with adding a bit more chest ratio to her mix to give it a darker, thicker effect to her voice. Usually in power western ballad & songs that require powerful impressions.
Andreanata Noivan Great points apart from "it becomes chestier and chestier" as they ascend. Mariah and Whitney actually became headier as they ascend and they have both displayed balanced mixes especially Mariah.
Andreanata Noivan there’s no such thing such as balanced mix but has more proportion of chest/head voice. A balanced mix means that it has the same proportion of chest and head voice. If either is more than the other, it would mean that its a chest/head dominant mix. Belting can be viewed as a spectrum. Full chest voice> chesty mix> balanced mix> heady mix> full head voice. The higher you belt,, the more heady you become. Some singers naturally have heavier voice (chest dominant modal register) some naturally have lighter voice (head dominant modal register). For example, whitney/adele has naturally chesty voice, and sohyang/ariana has naturally heady voice. The technique would be to learn to add more chest/head voice when belting. To be honest, whitney dont mix that well. Her voice goes from full chest>pulled chest voice>chest dominant mix. She was never really consistently able to balance her mix or become heady. While Celine, full chest>chest dominant>heady mix. She also cant get the mix balanced out consistently. while mariah is the technically excellent mix voice user. She can go from full chest>chesty>balanced>heady mix and change the proportion depending the song and her voice condition. While sohyang, she naturally has lighter voice. Her full chest voice lays very low in her vocal range and start mixing early as well. So her belting range always have only little chest voice. But she has learned to bring more chest into her voice, resulting in fuller mid belts. So her belts become in this manner, slightly chesty mix>balanced>heady mix.
Songsource 1. At times Whitney’s mix sounded more balanced especially in her prime and in this clip. And rarely she sang with a heady mix 2. Celine doesn’t even mix apparently. As this video showed she uses a masked placed head voice
One Dollar Bleach 1. Whitney was still using chesty mix here, although its close to balanced. 2. Celine dion uses heady mix belt especially within F5-G5/G#5, she shift her technique to masked head voice around Bb5-C#6/D6.

@@dededejereme2284 it doesn't mean nothing, you can hit a note, the same note in all the registers, then, it's not how they sound but how you produce them, heady mix isn't masked placed HV
@@Gisaround masked placed head voice ..🤔🤔🤔. is heady mix .with her mask...... its seem..... just its more in head voice .. but there.... is chest voice also.. + head voice with masked

cherry blossom uwu depends on the song.
Trust me, dimash can sing with all 4 type of mix voice
every person can.
@@Suijiro99 that must be new
Everyone can!
Absolutely Sohyang! Pure talent!
2:07 girl me too, he took us all to church
Mariah and Sohyang just slayed my life ❤
Why didn’t you write the name of Dimash Kudaibergen?
Dimash is life Haha
because im sure everyone knows who he is at this point
Area 51 😂
Everyone mentions him, but Mariah Carey was named, so was Whitney Houston, so I don't know.
Who is that?
Although mixing is healthier and requires more technique .I love chesty belts!!! They sound so raw and intense
THAT TRANSITION FROM MIXED B5S TO HEAD REPLENISHED MY SOUL
Very good job on this one! On point & accurate👌👌
Just some informations for people who just learned vocal pedagogy, there's also what we call as "chest-dominant mix" & "head-dominant mix".
And rarely she sang with a heady mix
Songsource well yeah I actually can see where ur coming from now
this was super helpful! I’m a young singer struggling with mixed voice(s) and I’m glad you’re helping me so much with just one video :)
whitnet houston always give me goosebumps, that ease on the note, omg!
Ailee, Dimash, beyonce, Celine Dion, Christina anda Whitney 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for putting Hyewon, Ailee and others from different genre and countries. They are sorely underrated for their vocal talent as some people don't know to look past their commercial music, I think? Plus, they don't get many opportunities to show off like that. It's really quite amazing when you hear them shred it like that for the first time.
Comparing them on the same note is smart and SUPER helpful thank you!
I need Dimash and SoHyang, I click.
I want both of them in the same song
Both are the best to do it, the king and the queen.
@@holpcs2 True.. Although she's an utterly phenomemal I can't listen to her often. Her tone is very.. Piercing.
@@mangalover0149 I can understand that. It's a "too much of a good thing can be bad for you" type of thing.
@@holpcs2 Not sure considering I have a favourite singer that I can listen to everyday for hours (Floor Jansen) . Her tone is warm, and when she sings in her higher range it's not piercing, it's inviting/warm and makes me want to melt. I feel sad that I can't listen to Sohyang much even though I love her. 😭
Let’s be really Brendon can do all 4 😂😂
Nop
Ues
He’s got range but he doesn’t have technique. Mixed voice is very difficult to master properly
Brendon can do litteraly, *anything*
