The phantom being a groomer was such a tough pill to swallow bc I loved him.
This is so unrelated but you are absolutely glowing in this video. Your skin and hair are absolutely flawless

I swear seeing the musical in high school versus now was such switch up for me. I think I’ll create an episode defending Christine because Emmy Rossum played her in such a way that I understood the trauma bonding that was created. Her performance when singing “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” made me tear up. Also, thank you for the kind words. I have a friend who I think should be an “make up influencer” and recommended I start using Kopari Antioxidant Face Shield. I don’t use primer or glow cream anymore. So it saves me time and lets my skin truly shine.

It was originally supposed to be Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway but they were both busy. Gerard butler and Emmy rossum were second choice. And if you didn’t know Gerard butler is deaf in his left ear…so he was already working with a disability. He has said in interviews he knows his singing sucked but we all agree his acting was very well done. I also wish the phantom was more deformed. I wish that Andrew asked the fans in a focus group what they want from a phantom movie. I agree with all the weird grooming going on and Andrew added that…that’s not in the musical. Also they weren’t supposed to be doing anything in the original movie…remember after the first movie Christine goes back to “find where he hid” and THEN they get Christine pregnant. Which is dumbbbbbbbbb because if the phantom really cared about Christine he wouldn’t ruin her without getting married! Double negative first he threatens to keep her prisoner then leaves her after making love to her so she would have to sort out being pregnant herself?

Firstly I’m glad that Anne and Hugh weren’t in this musical, but Les Miz. The whole Christine thing… was the said in Love Never Dies, if so I need to rewatch it because how weird? I also prefer the movie to feel that Raoul and Christine had a long happy marriage only to realize that the phantom could have been there this whole time!

@@CareOffBook yes that was said in love never dies Christine says I found where you hid in beneath a moonless sky that means after the phantom disappeared at the end…days weeks? Don’t know…but she woke up without him there. He abandoned her there. So it doesn’t make any sense. He ruined Christine’s innocent virtue etc being young and grooming her (2004 version) then in stage version doing it without being married (I’m saying this because that was the first musical, Raoul and Christine doing everything normal and right and the phantom doing everything dangerous and wrong) in the movie version the phantom steals rapids ring and PROPOSES to Christine with it showing how out of touch he is…stage version it’s the phantoms own pinky ring right? Too many inconsistencies I guess to be explained in love never dies unless there was a movie version of love never dies from the 2004 version. Sorry this is so long!

@brooke3312 I appreciate this because no matter what if it makes sense or not…. ALW has ruined what made Christine such a heroine. 🤣

Carlotta is a 💅🏻 icon. I need a version where she's played by a drag queen. She was easily part of my 💅🏻 awakening at just 9 years old.

I would love to see her in DRAG! I mean Chicago has found those performers who have the range for Mary Sunshine so why not La Carlotta? I feel embarrassed that I didn’t even mention how Minnie Driver really added so much to character that made her funny because La Carlotta could’ve been annoying for the audience. Like you said…. She’s an ICON!
