I'm not saying this isn't problematic. There's a lot of issues I have with pageants. But... She seems to genuinely enjoy this, more so then a lot of girls who seem to dragged into it and forced. The glasses reveal in her routine was fun. I see why she was judged favorably.
Let's just hope, if she ever stops being genuinely enthusiastic, her mom understands.

Among all the blatant sexualisation, bad parenting and exploitation for money, there’s some kids who love this kind of thing. It’s refreshing after the absolute (and there’s no better way to say it,) child abuse some parents on T&T show.

I know this is a weird thing to pick on, but I am a little concerned about how easily parents are giving coffee to their very young children. It's a stimulant and can be addictive, which is obviously not great for children. Also can lead to increased anxiety, heart pressure and heart rate. Also, can lead to acid reflux and unnecessary disturbances in sleep schedules...

It’s too expensive for all the kids to go through and sad when they are not the top winners. The biggest issue people have is that it judges girls primarily for their beauty and how expensive their outfits are, rather than their skill and knowledge. And that to be beautiful they have to spend a lot of money and make themselves into something they are not- which is not a good message to send to young girls.

It really blows my mind ...
I remember, during the 1990's, seeing the first few seasons of 'Toddlers & Tiaras', on Channel Four, here in the UK, as a kind of escapism (very long story ...), and even then have couldn't understand why 'Pagent Moms' would spend a couple of thousand $s, on a glitzy dress. Even back then, with the fake tan, large amount of make up, the over-the-top hair 'cover'/wig - which was big even by c. 1988 - 92 standards - with outfits that certainly not 'below the knee', which was in my Comprehensive School/High School's uniform code, I left from, in 1990 (we didn't have graduation ceremonies then ...) ...
In other words, even back then, the main argument against them was 6-8yr olds were 'adultfied', and made to look like cover models, except smaller ... and that's _without_ the 'swimsuit' portion. Aside from the whole spending excessive amount of money (which, in frank interviews with just fathers, showed many struggling to work enough hours to pay for their wife's expensive 'hobby'; plus feeling they have no say in their daughters upbringing) which could easily be set aside for the even-then expensive College/University fees and costs; mums treating their daughters that their beauty is everything; the - almost entirely always - female judges nit-picking _everything_ , in taking their rôles way too seriously, and likely causing children to have body dysmorphia, by the way they treat them, as if they were judging a dog show (which, in, and of, themselves, have veterinarians in uproar over 'over-breeding' in order to create the 'perfect dog' of that breed ...); and, in the early days, the simple ignorance/indifference towards the man at the back of the room, recording with a slim-ish camcorder of the day, especially when toddlers - whom can just about walk by themselves, or even younger, down to literal babies - are all 'glammed' up, also to appear as women 'in miniature' ...
Although it was a simply measure, abet a few years to late, to ban non-family members from the event room, and back-stage areas, once 'Toddlers & Tiaras' began to air, that kicked up a huge fuss, not just about under-18 Beauty Pagents (with some saying no under-21s ...), but that it utterly rendered the 'no non-family members' rule moot, as now, all that was required was/is a recording device linked to the television ...
Even more surprising is that, at least in the first handful of seasons, the 'Pagent Moms', both implicitly, and explicitly', came across as being otherwise conservative, and likely Republican voters, by their mannerisms.
Which isn't a slight on Republican voters, as I've met visitors, over here in England, whom were, and are, hard to disagree with. But there was, and possibly still is, this weird juxtaposition between that, Conservative Christianism, and the mum's desire to show the world "how beautiful my daughter is ..." ...
Unfortunately, I don't see child beauty pagents in America being banned in America, especially as it falls under 'free speach' and 'free assembly' ...
... but one thing that can be done is change the rules on appearance, dress, and routines: reduce, significantly, the amount of make-up; no false eye-lashes, or finger nails; and dress standards that, for one, equals to a minimum of 'one inch below the knee', plus reducing the 'volume' of the hair cover/wig; and 'floor' routines that you will find in gymnastics competitions, and nothing risqué ...
You can't put the toothpaste back into the toothpaste tube ... but you can control the level of mess it makes ...

What about the basic issue with pageants like teaching the girls their valued based off their appearance, that their natural appearance isn't good enough, fake teeth fake tans, fake hair and just teaching the girls to be in competition with each other over things that they really can't control .The unapologetic materialism. The kids are not only learning to judge people especially other girls and women's based off of appearance but also based off the money that they have to spend on frivolous things
And possibly the biggest problem dressing children as adults and having them perform as if they were adults usually in a way more muture than the girls actually age
