  • I've got a new set of coilovers on the yaris and they are very different, but what makes them so different? is it that BC racing made them look awesome and cool? well yes, but also, it's all about the spring rates.

    I have the BR coilovers from BC on my yaris and adjusting the front is easy to reach even with the cowl installed. I didn't realize just how small the engine bay is on the hatchback is compared to the sedan version. I am curious about your spring rate selection. I currently have 5k front/3k rear, but then again it's a sedan so it isn't as front heavy as yours. Looking forward to that track day video!

    Bad Obsession Motorsport (yes, project binky) has a bad ass Citroen C1 track car which is basically a Yaris underneath and you might get some pointers from their video with regards to the suspension setup.

    Hey Joey, another yaris owner. Impressive work out. I just started upgrades recently. Would you mind sharing web links for both your old Tein and new coilovers.

    How are you adjusting camber on this car? Shims in the rear and camber bolts in the front?

    • @RassoolRacing
      @RassoolRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. Double camber bolts up front. Metal shims in the rear

  • @jellofuel

    Would a rear sway bar help you out on track? The TRD sway bar is the only mod on my Yaris so far, it's made the car more stable at 70 mph.

    • @RassoolRacing
      @RassoolRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      a rear sway bar would make the back stiffer and thus more prone to over steer. since i have the back seats out, i need the opposite.

  • @scoobygms210
    @scoobygms210 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your suspension Rake has alot to do with nose dive in braking you need to adjust the rake to balance it not just raise spring rates I would highly suggest a corner balance and probably a softer front but some testing is needed

    • @RassoolRacing
      @RassoolRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      got the corner balance done at the end of the video along with the alignment. with the ride height at it lowest in the rear, its a 38/62 split which isnt great but better than it was

      yeah, my first ones were fine but since these need the insert added after tightening everything down (pulling the top of the shock all the way up) there was no room.
