    Dude!
    I love my '07 manual Yaris.
    I absolutely love having the cluster in the center, though I hate not having a tachometer. Might have to look into some type of upgrade there, along with new wheels and tire upgrade to 205s!

    I did a cluster swap on my 07 Hatch recently with a Canadian unit about a week ago, and at first the speedometer didn't work either. I'm not sure what I did to fix it, basically took it all apart, made sure the core and connecting pins were all socketed correctly, took out the needles and tried to let the ecu recalibrate the dials and then put the needles back on. After all that, it's started working and checking against a GPS speedometer, it's accurate.

    Look for a 2010 Yaris in the bone yards, they came with tachometers.

      the wheels are still good. im thinking of hitting up some of my spec miata friends and throwing some used slicks on them. might be fun to compare 195 slicks to 225 200TW

    I have 15x6.5 wheels on my 2010 Yaris hatchback. I'm currently running 195 tires. but I can see now that the 205s should fit fine when I get new tires. What is the offset on your new Hexaforms?

    Do you run a special alignment on your setup? I drive a Yaris on track too and I had to play with camber on all for corners and zero toed the front to gain corner grip and precision. I like your content.. good work.. good luck on track

    • @RassoolRacing
      @RassoolRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I'm still playing around with it. But currently it's about -2° in the front and -1.5 in the rear. I'm running the suspension a little higher than I'd like to because the springs are too soft, so I'm hoping stiffer springs will let me lower the front and get another half degree out of the front camber

    Hey, I just bought a 2006 5 door yaris and I wanna make it look a little more sporty and nice with some bigger rims and nicer tires but I don't know anything, could you tell me a good size of tire that would go good with 16 inch rims? And is 16 inch too much? I just wanna close some of the wheel gap to make it look a bit lowered or slick if you will, thanks in advance
    Any other advice or mods would be appreciated

    • @RassoolRacing
      @RassoolRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      im not really used to putting bigger wheels on a car, as opposed to lowering the suspension. bigger wheel size means more weight which hurts your fuel economy and acceleration. same with wider wheels, but you get more grip as a trade off. 15 to 16 probably isnt a big deal, but its worth considering.

  • @Isaiah-ft5nx

    Did you notice better traction from a dead stop? I have a stock Yaris, but when I do a perfect take off I’ll spin the right side tire. Not sure if wider tires would improve that or not..
