The Drs. For Rheumatology here in SC of USA have not helped me but milked the insurance with all their testing then gave diagnosis but have never recommended treatment or anything to give a quality of life to me. I've had 4 yrs now to think and use and apply my knowledge I've gained over the years, I truly believe they like to treat patients that will be like sheep or guinea pigs, they're not used to having an educated person from a different state question them or ask questions. It's my one time at life and I love knowledge and being informed with what is available about future effects . I believe with how many Dr to patient ratio numbers that they're tired and don't have or choose to make the time to stay updated with their education and tools available for use. See, this is what they don't like.

Hello: I’ve had RA for 8 years if I may, I want to tell you my advice from someone who waited for the right Dr to give me the answers for at least 4 years. Stop eating sugar or refined sugar stop eating anything that results in a flare up or bloating in tummy. Change diet and get a nutritionist who can help you reduce inflammation in your diet. In addition add joint and bone supplements and exercise in a pool for as long as it helps. In the future if your RA is does not reach remission: find an orthopedic surgeon

I have listened to all of your post since finding your channel! Very informative! When I tell my rheumatologist I’m in pain and my joints hurt, he says well I can prescribe pain meds, tell him I’m not interested in pain meds! I only see my rheumatologist once a year and his PA once a year. They tell me I’m not allowed to see my rheumatologist because he is too busy!

Thank you for following my channel and finding the information informative! I understand that it can be frustrating when your healthcare provider only offers medication as a solution for managing your pain. It's important to find a healthcare team that is supportive of your goals and willing to work with you to find the best approach for managing your rheumatoid arthritis.
It sounds like you're interested in exploring alternative and complementary approaches to managing your symptoms. That's great! There are many different strategies that can help to manage rheumatoid arthritis, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other lifestyle changes. It may be worth seeking out a healthcare provider who specializes in these approaches, or looking into self-care strategies that you can implement on your own.
Remember, taking control of your health and finding what works best for you is an ongoing process. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself and speak up if you're not satisfied with the care you're receiving. With time, patience, and persistence, you can find a path to better health and pain management.

Avoiding certain foods may help some AI diseases (already scientifically proven with IBD in recent paper). Try the AIP diet plan (free) and see if you have any food sensitivities. It will take 2-6 weeks of just eating 'good' food to see if you are sensitive or not, if you are you can then start reintroducing the 'bad' founds, one a week, until you find those which make your symptoms worse. Your immune system is being triggered by something other than your own body (if it was triggered by your own body you would have been born with those symptoms!) and it is highly likely that the gut immune system (70% of entire immune system) is reacting to something you ingest. Really - try the AIP diet plan - what have you got to lose?

Thank you very much for this information. I was diagnosed with gut and osteoarthritis on my left knee and Orthodontist gave me a cortisone injection four months ago. During a wellness exam, my primary physician found out I also have RA. She recommended me to see a rheumatologist. But the earliest appointment is one month away.
In the meantime, the pain in my left knee started to come back, my right buttock and right knee feel so much painful that I couldn’t even move in bed. I took Tylenol for three days and to subdue the pain, finally was able to see my orthopedist and got cortisone injection on both my knees.
My question is, I have CKD stage 4, if next time I get FA, I can take the over the counter medication you recommended instead of cortisone injection? Because it’s very painful.

I am taking hydroxychloroquine for my RA for about 9 years. It was effective I did not feel any pain. The dose is 400mg per day. Recently I did an eye exam and found an early stage of toxic Maculopathy. What should I do? I read literature that says that the hydroxychloroquine dose can be reduced by 50% when a good response is obtained. meanwhile, I started taking the supplements you suggested such as omega 3, vitamin D, Turmeric, plenty of exercise, and sleep. If I have good results after that. I may stop taking hydroxychloroquine to see what happens I may have minor rheumatoid arthritis. Since blood test RF is always negative. what do you think?

My arthritis hit me all at once. First in one knee, then a week later the other knee and both shoulders. The pain is so bad I can not get out of bed so I must sleep in my recliner. Even this is very hard to get out of the chair in the morning. After a long hot shower I feel some relief. I am taking APAP but it doesn't help much. Now my fingers won't straighten out completely. Try the AIP diet plan to find out what those trigger foods are. 70% of your immune system is located around your gut. 10% of RA patients develop celiac disease in later life. The genes for RA and celiac are the same (or very similar) so it is highly likely that many RA patients actually have food sensitivities.
