Do you ever just watch a completely mobile person and miss when you could do things? Do they ever think about how lucky they are to just stand up from a chair and walk away, without thinking about it? Without having to be mindful of how to use your body so you don’t fall, so you can minimize pain, or so you can look normal? When I wake up, I instantly feel the pain throughout my body. “Oh, this again” my mind says. What indignities will I face today? I see people older than me walking so carelessly, so strong and free. I never appreciated that when it was me. Now I pay the price.

I was finally able to get the answers from rheumatology and I was given hydrochloriquin and it's not doing anything. My eyes are getting bad and seeing spots . Very light sensitive. Is it a symptom of Ra
@@suziecarr1566 Some cases of RA can get to the eyes so it could be because of that. My mother uses methotrexate along with plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine). But one of the medicines cannot be used by those whose RA affects the eyes (which they find out from eye tests) so I believe that may be why they only gave you one of them. Exactly what l have dealt with for years now! trying to get a doctor to help me because In the beginning l didn’t look sick but l felt really bad , leaning on the sick to wash dishes hard time sleeping every way l laid l hurt sick feeling like someone with flu every day , when l first started going to a doctor I was in my twenties but none of them thought l was sick , l hurt all over my body , l have suffered with this stuff 🙏💕🙏
Hi. I have done the same thing. Before you know it, it's normal to take all day and still can't finish because of pain and exhaustion. I've went off and on to doctors for 25 years and I finally realized that no one believed me. It got to the point where I thought I wasn't able to communicate properly! Some doctors would just ignore me. Finally, after all that time, I remembered a doctor that my daughter saw for something and he seemed to stick out, like he listened. I found him, almost 2 hours away and he did a blood test for RA. Haven't gotten to see rheumatologist yet, and am barely functioning. Hopefully, you can find a doctor that will do the blood test. And that you'll be set up with a good rheumatologist. 🙏🙏

Am 22 years old, i diagnosed RA 2 weeks ago(maybe longer time ago i got this desease), Today it's the worse day ever every joint including my jaw my neck my spine my foot my hands Keep poping and cracking, i can't work im so scared
I am concerned about flare ups and/or side effects with my medications. Have you taken the vaccine? If so, did you have a flare up or interaction with your medications?
@@chasityamore6135 I didn't get to take vaccine so idk. However I contacted Covid within the same time I made the comment above. I have this issue where I can not go into any ac environment, I'll get; weak, low grade fever, and hibernation mode and the blood in my veins feel extra hot ( hot mess I feel super sick) however I could use my fan. And ever since I contacted covid and recover I now CANNOT turn my fan on! I am sick just as if I was in the AC. I am fustrated and hot. I am 22 and I don't know how I'll ever work again when my profession is in the office and being home hot and can't use fan is depressing and I live in Jamaica. Funny thing too is that when I caught covid ALL my RA symptoms went dormant. I didn't go back on the meds until In the last week of recovery. But I'll advise people to stay on medications when you have covid too
I had to quit my job. Flare up was daily, tenderness was poor, mobility strike stiffness when it wants. Hips, knees and feet's. Shoulders will plump up swollen like the two size of an lemon blooming and feets..sound like a nut crackle when walking around. I have to wait a few mins before getting out of bed just to be able to walk. My RA just now diagnosed with other autoimmune Hashimoto and joint disorder.
I need advices to help me on my new journey with the RA. And to have a normal work life. At this point it's hurt to think to much. Anxiety and depression extreme. I diet and try to walk as much as I can. I think I wanted to long for treatment. Idk. Steroids first time and I don't think it works much.
I have had RA since 2015 and fibromyalga too the thing that annoyes me is that meds for RA trigger a fibromyalga flare how good is that NOT lol (if I don't laugh I will cry )
Suffering for 7 year now with RA at 30 ,both hands both feet bothe knees is twisted ,looks like a 70 year old ,some day I don't want God to wake me up ,I'm learning to find a natural way to deal with it .life hard with it ,I'm totally a loner .
I need a better relationship with my RA doctor, visits feel detached and literally take less than five minutes. I feel very dismissed by him. I want to be treated as a whole person.
Thank managed medical care for that feeling....they took the doctors an divided them up so now you have to see 8 docs a nf none of them share info to even help

Hi, I was just wondering what medications work best for RA. I've been diagnosed and I'm not sure what I should use. I gave lots of pain and inflammation.
i take Methotraxate. for the first 2 years of taking it i took it in pill form and i couldn’t stand it. Now i am on the injection form and it makes me a feel a lot better. Diet and exercise is so so important, the medication itself isn’t going to make you feel 100%. Try to treat your RA ASAP, you don’t want to cause permanent damage.
@@netabeauty6379 thank you for the information, I will ask my rheumotologist if she can prescribe it as an injection. I'm working on my diet and I try to exercise every day but the pain is just too much to handle. 😔
hayatwahob i completely get you when you say you’re in pain. it’ll get better trust me. once you begin the treatment you can start to do physiotherapy which will also help a lot with movement. i don’t know if you know this but taking warm showers and baths really help with stiffness especially in mornings. just have hope, i hope you start to feel better.
Hie.I’ve been taking methotrexate, Salazopyrin,,Prednisone,celicoxib..those have worked well for me,I even forget I have arthritis, but better consult a rheumatologist coz prescriptions differ as well basing on the severity of your condition and any other underlying problems

It's so difficult, i can't even cry.
I m a medical student : I m feeling morning stiffness for 5 min in my finger joints
What should I do. Do I have or not
Visit doctor if it's regular don't waitt
@@elieelie7177 if ur a medical student, how would u not know you need to go get blood work done?
@Dorris Tammy my rheumatologist warned me "stay away from those nut cases with their oils and herbs"
I have often described RA like having the flu everyday.
Thank you for sharing very helpful
I cant even play hide and seek,my joints pop and give my hideout away... I'm serious.

Does anyone who have RA and contracted covid? If so how was it, is it ok to take the vaccine? What are your thoughts?
But I'll advise people to stay on medications when you have covid too
Just got over it. No Vax here. Got over it fine.
What's your diet like?
@Jame6999 Protein Diet. For the last 90 plus day. Work for short while, but it's like living in a cave at the point hiding in fear.
I have had RA since 2015 and fibromyalga too the thing that annoyes me is that meds for RA trigger a fibromyalga flare how good is that NOT lol (if I don't laugh I will cry )
Mary Austin i have the sane problem since 2018 could you send me the email of that doctor or any link really appreciate
@Mary Austin is God bless you Mary will let you kbow thank you dear
Suffering for 7 year now with RA at 30 ,both hands both feet bothe knees is twisted ,looks like a 70 year old ,some day I don't want God to wake me up ,I'm learning to find a natural way to deal with it .life hard with it ,I'm totally a loner .
Wish I could get in to see an R.A. specialist. In Ontario it takes at least six months. I am on the urgent list too. Our Healthcare is pathetic !
Please tell which is the best pain killer for RA 🙏
I've heard Hydroxychlorquine. Prednisone took my pain away but you can only take that for 5 days.
I need a better relationship with my RA doctor, visits feel detached and literally take less than five minutes. I feel very dismissed by him. I want to be treated as a whole person.
Thank managed medical care for that feeling....they took the doctors an divided them up so now you have to see 8 docs a
nf none of them share info to even help
Forget about vegan diets, eat all the Chic Fil A you want. Eliminate stress and anxiety, get your finances in order, and don't forget about your spiritual side...I personally like The Parables in NT.

@@pursedelighted9020 It's gonna be okay. You just need to find a treatment that will work for you.. I was miserable until I got on a biologic. It saved my life. Talk to your doctor and see what your options can be. Theres always a light at the end of the tunnel .
@@julissalandero2770 what's the early symptoms of it?
@A rose is a rose Hello.
I started having more blood work show signs of Lupus and a little bit of RA all together. After finding out, I quickly got on a biologic called "benlysta." It started working a little after a month and I have not stopped feeling amazing since then. I still am on a 200 mg dose of plaquenil daily but I take a weekly injection. I hope this helps, feel better.
I need help😭😭😭😭😭😭

Can arthritis patient live a long life who are affected in young age
Yes they can :) I have RA and was diagnosed at age 25. RA generally doesn't greatly shorten life expectancy but it is really important to manage your disease well :)
So right !
I got authorized realpage thought I Cry and if hurt real bad I've been get shot in my knee this do not help I need a whole knee replacement my knee I cannot do stuff for myself every time I walk this hurt real bad and this made me cry
@netabeauty very true,I took long to be properly diagnosed and as a result I have a disfigured thumb
You have to keep moving the best you can everyday... you have to live with this disease u gets really bad. So called days..good days ad very bad days! !!
I treated my ra ,anaemia and high platlet count with no drugs .I looked at leaky gut gave up wheat gluten grains meat dairy sugar high carbs processed food refined and any crap food. I ate low carb veg, fish, tumeric black pepper,gluten-free oats with cherry's ,blueberries msm powder and morninga, cherries and blueberries.i only used coconut or goats milk.papaya, strawberry, pineapple, blueberries and goat yoghurt as a sweet u need a treat, I hobbled my skinny muscle less body to a leisure club ,I was too weak too swim.without a float and too scared to leave the shallow end, followed by sauna and jacuzzi.after 3months iswim 4o lengths and 1hour in the gym.my anaemia and platlet count are normal, my rheumatologist doesn't want to see me for 1year.all I have is morning finger stiffness for a few minutes.im now fitter and healthier than before I was ill I'm 68 and can now run.ps it's important to research vitamins and minerals and think I can beat this.good luck with any treatment you take.
Bradley James Hi, I see you said you cut out grains, would that be including quinoa. My mom was recently diagnosed and I’m helping her meal prep. She wants to think brown rice is fine but I have a feeling it will still cause inflammation. Thanks for your detailed comment!

I joke but I pop and click when I move all over. My Rheumatologist said it was normal. He recommended more exercise. My biggest problem is headaches. Anyone know what works on those headaches? Feels and maybe is a migraine. Was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago.

I am 52 and have some sort of RA😔 my left elbow keeps popping out when I hold something and push forward. My bones are wilted and my specialist says I have something. I got denied twice for A.I.S.H which I would like to get in order to live in a carehome because I can't care for myself like cooking and personal care. My helper in trying to get A.I.S.H Terri Sims from St Paul Alberta Works says I am a waste of time 😭 maybe she is racist because I am Native Aboriginal.
I wish just for 1 day I didn't feel it !!!
