    The Coconut Valley Johor Jaya branch is not theirs, Alderic. In their shop they actually put up signs to say that.
    A bit of a misrepresentation cause the food in Johor Jaya is completely different 😅

    Nasi Lemak in Malaysia hard for Singapore to fight....its their home ground....I see the price I want to cry...so affordable..Singapore just so expensive

      But I can predict these top 50 [insert food here] in the world articles will attach the Singapore flag if they mention Nasi Lemak

      Chicken rice is Singapore’s, Nasi Lemak is Malaysia’s

      Technically it’s cheaper for us Singaporeans to eat Nasi lemak in Singapore than for Malaysians to eat in Malaysia. We work in sg spend 6.50 on spicy wife, msian work in msia spend 14.50 on coconut valley. Their kopi ice 5.00.

    • @Alderic.

      it's a personal choice. If you don't hold your mic close, you have to project your voice pretty loudly in public which I don't like to do. Most of the times, I have to say some negative things about the food and that can be pretty irritating to the diners nearby.

    I think you should stick to your expertise in commenting on food you tried and tasted as a critic.
    It's too far fetched for you to be the judge and jury to give verdicts in food according to your taste and fancies.
    When it comes to foods and tastes , these are very personal. It's not for you to judge what and where is the best.
    Maybe it's the best for sophisticated people like you but not for your peers whose taste are different from yours.
    Your series on " the best" does not win my vote.

    • @foodmore
      @foodmore 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      How do you even define best? Just because you like something... doesnt mean it is better than any others right? I mean.... we all have different wants and needs and preferences....

    • @Alderic.
      @Alderic.  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      @@foodmore you're on the right track questioning the definition of 'best' but leaving it as 'everything is subjective' is a very unsatisfying answer.
      so we must try to define 'best' in some objective measure. that can be online ratings, sales but most preferably, some culinary factor, of which I'm trying to show in this series.
      for example, freshly fried, hot and crispy chicken is better than chicken wings left on the counter for hours. sure, there'll be that one guy that prefers leftover chicken wings but we can't ditch the whole conversation because of him.
      in the end, it doesn't really matter what measures you choose to use. I think that as long as you make considerable effort into drawing up what is your 'best', then it has served its purpose.

    • @KeoNz
      @KeoNz 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nasi Lemak yeah hard to win, MY just does it better but you claim "any food"? I disagree

    • @foodmore
      @foodmore 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KeoNz Again…. Define “better”.
      Is there some specific attribute that you can surely say makes something better or worse?
      Even if u give certain criteria like spongy rice, or whatever, those criteria are also
      Based on your own personal wants and likes isn’t it.
      I’m not asking u to compare between cold and hot rice or frozen and fresh chicken or whatever.
      I’m just saying that your best isn’t the best for everyone. To say that somethjnf is better just doesn’t make sense.
      If the business survives long enough and has its own loyal customers. Then it is good enough for those people.
      Arguing about food with your own personal criteria is just silly.
      At the end of the day. It still boils down to what you like personally.
      A fluffy and spongy rice may be “good” for this series, but if a person does not like that sort of rice? Then the person wouldn’t find it nice right?
      So then who is right? Which is better?
