Hi, Yes you do need a tune in order for it to work.
Can you recommend one?
Can you recommend one?
@@nazarioenriquez8715 I know Malone tuning I think still does it, a lot of them stopped offering this service for known reason as you may imagine.
I feel so screwed. I've a M57 that needs the d word and everyone is scared to even consider it. wtf do I do with this vehicle that may need 7K of shit just to make it run badly again?
Replace with downpipe, midpipe and then tune, should be ~$1500... you want to look for a diesel tuner, the exhaust work itself is relatively simple.
I would do the delete much cheaper, better for the engine, better mpg and performance. Than replacing it with new part that will fail again down the road. Should be $1200-$1500 range. Depending which tune, down-pipe combo you go with.
@@MotorsportInspired I haven't seen your new tune video! Do you know which ECU you have? My F10 has been in the shop for a few weeks now, electronic turbo actuator failed immediately.. waiting on new turbo now.
I am starting delete pretty soon. I am also doing walnut blast. Those engines are clogged as all hell with all this exhaust dirt recirculating.
@@MotorsportInspired Please do the delete for my 2012 X5d-Thanks Karen
hi. Nice video! Did you delete the cat also or only the DPF?
Thanks 🙏, yes I did but later I welded high flow cat in place, did a video on that as well on the channel if you like you can check it out, you can’t leave the Oe in place because it will clog up and cause damage without dpf in place.
Having hard time to find egr delete kit in US. Any suggestions?
Egr delete is not necessary on n57 like it is on m57, you can just unplug it and flap will remain closed at all times works the same way as if it was removed and blocked off there no additional benefit from removing egr and it pain to remove. Just unplug it and that will do the trick. And it will work the same.
@@MotorsportInspired How do you know if you have the n57 or the m57 engine.?
Goorie Henkel n57 is in f15 x5 and m57 is in the e70 x5
@@schmingusss do i have to programming or just unplug and that’s it?!
@@MotorsportInspired What all needs to be unplugged? This thing looks a lot different under the hood than my Cummins does when I did it lol
Anyone know a good way to remove that stupid motor mount? Every video I watched skips that part.
I love your works. If you are in Washington… you can help me tune my 2012 x5
Thank you, Unfortunately I’m not in CT
Great video! I see alot of people in here are also doing the delete themselves. Anyone near ohio willing to do mine?
this is with stock muffler ?? sounds good.
Yes stock muffler, it’s perfect nice and quite inside and sounds nice outside
Once you do this, can you stop using DEF fluid?
Hi, That is correct sir 👍
What about the computer, any check engine light
Yes that will needs to be taken care of as well, reason I did not cover this in the video as person I was working with asked for privacy.
@@MotorsportInspired can you give me an idea what it takes to get that part done? Thanks
@@eddiecox7450 usually it’s around $700+ to get it tuned and working properly.
What brand Is the downpipe
Unfortunately it was from Europe and they don’t produce them anymore
Hi do you have link where I can order from that link doesn't work
Hi I updated the link ebay.us/N3C9Ch
Did you delete the EGR ?
On n57 that’s not needed egr flap can be coded in closed position providing the same benefit as egr would have been deleted
Hey, great videos man!
Do you want to sell your stock dpf downpipe section? I just need the flanges to make my own custom downpipe
Thank you 🙏 unfortunately I’m going to hold on to it for now.
Anyone know a mechanic who can do this in or around Northern New Jersey? 2013 X5D
Hi, May I ask why is the car smoking so much after this upgrade? Or does it away?
Welll, simple answer to this is it’s basically straight piped.
Nice cloud of smoke, now its like a real tractor lol😂
Anyone in Chicago area that could help?
what tuner did you use?
Isn't it m57?
Hi, no M57 is in the e70 x5 F15 x5 has n57
@@MotorsportInspired thanks, just looked it up and was about to delete the comment , but your quick on response 😆
@@MotorsportInspired does the cabin have diesel smell after deletes? I have an e70 35d and just running stage 1 with egr delete, wanna get the dpf and straight pipes along with billet race pipe on the intake and switch to stage 2.8 jb tune. Should make around 380whp hopefully
@@brabus343 nope not at all, only obvious smell is if you stand behind the car for while it’s idling, I welded a 200 cell cat in mine and that reduce the smell by out 30% I would say. Did a video on that as well if you want to check it out.
@@MotorsportInspired ye I checked it out . Thanks. Nice channel, subscribed 👍
What did you do with the urea injector?
I left it in place, wrapped in plastic bad and zipped tied it a hanger. You can see in the video.
@@MotorsportInspired Cool, just wondering, how did you manage to get the new flange/gasket installed at the turbo? Did you require an extra set of hands from the top? even on the 328d, I needed someone to hold the flange and new metal gasket to keep it from falling
