When I was young, my small Geo Prism was hit from behind at a traffic light by a Bronco with a heavy steel welded bumper. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and I couldn't walk, I was in a wheelchair. A family member suggested a chiropractor. The chiropractor did a whole bunch of imaging of my spine and then a lot of adjustments, after one visit I walked out of the front door with a cane, though I hurt like heck and after a few visits I was walking without a cane. Long story short, I had full coverage plus every add-on you could get and everyone told me I was a fool for having it, but they not only paid to repair my car a hundred percent, they covered every medical bill and I also had short and long term disability insurance through work that paid me a paycheck every week and when I purchased the car I had paid for a disability insurance from Aflac that paid off the remaining payments I owed on the car. I don't own a vehicle now, but every vehicle I own I get as much insurance as I can on them from a reputable company.
These days the insurance company will fight you tooth and nail for every cent and in FL... most folks are underinsured so basically your insurance has to pay for everything.

Luckily my job is 1 mile from home. Commute is minimal, drive old car, ins $80 pm, don’t drive a lot. Drivers are so bad, I hate driving now.
It’s insane for that statute ti exist. Must qualify and at the discretion of the state to issue the certificate needed. The state does have low minimum requirements. No one in their right mind would self insure in the highly litigious state of Florida.
@esthern2261 The way the laws are written in Florida, they insulate persons losing assets to lawsuits. The exact reason OJ Simpson moved here. The litigious ways of Florida law is you have to sue your insurance company to payout on a claim. Oh my goodness I am so sorry that happened to you!!!! I cannot even imagine how painful that was and stressful all while trying to care for your husband! I agree He is a far better physician❤️ Thank you for sharing your story! I think it is so important for these conversations to happen and for all of us to learn from eachothers stories! Much love sent your way and thank you for your encouragement and continued support!
I don’t have health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, homeowners insurance….rent a house, agreed its all a rip off. Just try to live a healthy life style . Luckily my job is 1 mile from home. Commute is minimal, drive old car, ins $80 pm, don’t drive a lot. Drivers are so bad, I hate driving now.
@@romeysiamese6662 ageed drivers are horrible these days!

@@jeffchan4557 I cannot say but they are one of the top companies
murika it was DOOMED to FAIL from day one
Suprising you didn't know that insurance will look for a minimum settlement.
Florida Statute 324.171 allows drivers to be self insured.
It’s insane for that statute ti exist. Must qualify and at the discretion of the state to issue the certificate needed. The state does have low minimum requirements. No one in their right mind would self insure in the highly litigious state of Florida.
Sadly this guy was out of State
@esthern2261 The way the laws are written in Florida, they insulate persons losing assets to lawsuits. The exact reason OJ Simpson moved here. The litigious ways of Florida law is you have to sue your insurance company to payout on a claim. I been self insured for a few years and have no plans of ever giving my money to home/auto insurance ever again.
It's 🐂💩
