    Hey Molly, seen your comment over on my channel. Watched a few of your vids. Don't beat yourself up, we all started out by learning the hard way. Hell, there are drivers behind the wheel that I have no idea, how they got their CDL. You're a seasoned veteran now. I've been a driver for 30 years and I've never operated a pneumatic pump....and I claim to have driven it all. Guess, I need to stop saying that eh? Keep up the videos, you're doing good there as well. Subbed to hear/see more from ya! 😁 Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up!!

    I started driving before the CDL (1973). With a MT agriculture permit and driver's license at the age of 17, I started with a custom wheat harvesting outfit, operating what would be considered today, a Class A vehicle. As a result, i was able to get my Class A chauffeur's licence when I was 18. When the CDL's came into being (1992?) I was grandfathered into one. I started with a pneumatic tank in 2004, hauling sand, soda ash, cement, silicate, powdered lime, and pebble lime. Have often thought about coming out of retirement and hauling sand in the oil patch. Good money.

    I have my class b and drive local flatbed about 1300 miles a week, home nightly. Make about 60k. How do you like the oilfield? I heard it is more stable now than the past. I used to live in Kansas and knew several people in the oilfields. They earn their money. Your story is very interesting, thanks for sharing. Side note, I ran across a podcast about the oilfield you are working in, the podcast is called, Boomtown. Very interesting you ought to check it out. Have a great one and keep the rubber side down.

    Hello! My end goal is to end up hauling frac sand in the oilfield and was wondering if I could connect with you and get some advice. I've been driving about a year and I'm starting to prepare for my transition next year.

      Most companies need 2 years driving experience .....u might start googling some companies. If u want to do boxes a company called WW logistics in odessa runs good. If u want to do pneumatic which is a little more labor intensive u might look at Agility Energy. Also u could check craigslist in midland odessa and u may find an owner operator to drive their truck that would be leased on with one of these companies. Good luck!

      Really???!! I'm sorry to hear that but not surprised. Try going to your state workforce commission and see if u can get in the CDL class at a local college and paid for by the "workforce investment act". And/or keep trying the mega carriers. Try Prime or Stevens Transport. Don't give up!! It's worth it and it will change ur life!! Thank you for watching my channel please subscribe and watch my other videos!!

    Just because you have a CDL doesn't mean that you solo'd... Mega carriers that take on entry-level drivers take you out on a road test.. then you start your on-the-job training.... it takes a period Of time before you become a solo driver!
    If you come across as a desperate person... people tend to run away from a desperate person!

    • @femaleprofessionaldriver7650
      @femaleprofessionaldriver7650  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dude what are u talking about??? Did u watch my video? The first thing I said was that most trainees with a mega carrier spend weeks in the truck with a trainer. I dont know What ur getting at with ur comment about coming across desperate. Ain't no desperate here, im just telling my story of my first year, and everyone has one. If ur combing thru all my videos to scrutinize and make petty comments then u can move around. I dont entertain haters on my channel.

      Dude may be taking that high speed chicken feed!...lol. I have watched your videos and seems to me you have a very good grasp of things! I have hauled frac sand in a pneumatic for bout a year. Loved it but then took a nose dive and had to move on. Lot of hours and some pretty tough spots getting to some of the wells but it was a good job. Keep the videos coming. By the way you really have pretty eyes.

    • @femaleprofessionaldriver7650
      @femaleprofessionaldriver7650  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I kinda see it that way, but I found a way to be a great driver so I moved on. And like I said, there's lots of other drivers that learned how to be great drivers by other ways other than mega carriers.

    • @femaleprofessionaldriver7650
      @femaleprofessionaldriver7650  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, let me add a different slant. The ones that really dropped the ball and were irresponsible, i believe, were the driving instructors at the school I went to. That's where i should've gotten more training to where I was better equipped in the first job and wouldn't have needed much driving training on the job.

      @Leonie H I haul frac sand in the oilfields. We have to wear fire retardant coveralls or fire retardant jeans and shirt and/or jacket. (Called FR's) when we are on the fracing pad.
