literally this xmas im getting a roscoe and i cannot wait so i decided to watch some videos to get a better understanding of it and wow this review really blew me away, easily the best review ive watched yet
I bought my Trek Roscoe 8 in May of 2020 in the Marigold Fade and loved that color scheme, but due to a crack along the weld at the seat stay/seat tube junction I now have what is technically a 2021 X Caliber frame in mat black w/ white and silver decals. Like you I have made a few changes: 40mm Race Face Affect Stem, 780mm wide 35mm clamp RF Affect bar, clipless pedals (I have been riding clipless for nearly 30 yrs), saddle to a Shimano Pro Turnix (came off my road bike), Grips to RF Getta Grip in 33mm, currently running Vittoria Martello 27.5 x 2.8's (They're a trail/enduro oriented tire, but I ride alot of rock) , and upgraded the Fork to a Rockshox Revelation 120mm (the Gold 35 kept having major issues with maintaining pressure or just collapsing like it had zero air). I know Trek has upgraded the newer Roscoe to a more current geometry, but I am still super happy with my current one. It does everything I need and more. The best bike is the one you have that makes you want to ride, and my Roscoe is it for myself. Since there isn't a model name on the replacement frame Trek sent me, I call mine a Roscoe X. Sorry for rambling, I enjoy your content, and definitely enjoy seeing the scenery you get when riding.
That was the best Roscoe review I have seen!! Been looking at getting my hands on a Roscoe 8 for a while now. So yeah just ordered a Large Matte Black/Olive 8. Thanks for the great review
Fantastic review. I got my self a ROSCOE 6, absolutely love it, great on the Manx trails, need to get out more but looking forward to seeing what it is like once the trails get wetter this winter.
Hello, Thanks for this review! I am willing to’ buy the roscoe 8 2023 my. I was wondering how hard and it is to cycle on roads, specially in climbing…. Thanks for any suggestion
Thank you for this epic review, really helped me decide, you got another sub, and ive just ordered the 2023 roscoe 8 in matte black olive green with the red decals, so excited but i need some stuff to compliment it, can you post the links where you got your stuff from, frame protection, mud guard's, bars etc, will help me a lot, bike arrives next week, thanks again and keep making these awesome reviews, your smashing it
Roscoe is really fun and durable. i've got 4000km's/2500miles on my roscoe 8 '21 model. I did find the front tooth ring too small for faster flatter roads, so i put one bigger on it. Yours still look brand new, nice!
Sound like fun, I'm getting exactly dryer same Roscoe, same color same year brand new next week, can you share your upgrade I would like to do the same thing after finishing stock 27.5 2.8 stock tires.
Love this video I watched like 3 times in the last two weeks. I just bought this Roscoe same year 2021 with same color. Only problem for me is the HUB noisy and even worse the engagement is terrible. First I am going to expend some money on the frame protection since I LOVE the paint color on this bike and to protect it a s much as I can and then going to save for the new hub. Pedals suck! BTW... All stock bicicle pedals suck. One again great video, you definitely were one of the reason to go with my Roscoe
Es una bicicleta excepcional, comparto mucho tus apreciaciones y déjame decirte que la tienes bien personalizada, me gusto mucho la protección del marco que le pusiste me gustaría saber si eso lo puede hacer uno o necesita de alguien profesional.

Thanks for the review. Yep, part of the fun is personalizing your bike. I've looked at a ton of bikes and the Roscoe 8 is the one I'm zeroed in on.
I love his orange color taste

Great bike, great review thanks
I have exactly the same roscoe and set up handlebars etc 😀😀
Hello! I was wondering if 57-622 winter tires be compatible with Roscoe 8?
Great video. But still waiting for a description of the video.

My dream bike...
Did you end up getting it?
Looks real fun.
Hot bike. What slash guard are you using? Do they protect you? Would they protect a rider behind you?
Hi bro.
I have simple Fox guards. Cost about £15…
To be honest, the protection is minimal… but it looks awesome!
What's your measurements, I'm trying to decide on either a M or M/L. I'm 5.9 with 32 inseam.
Hi friend.
I’m 183cm’s - I think 5.9 is around 179cm. So pretty much the same. I would go for the Large!
Roscoe is such a beast!
What about a 2023 review after three years, you still riding it?
I like that idea!!
Watch this space.
This or the RM growler 50, or kona honzo DL? (2023/2024)
Trek always!
35 mm handlebar is too stiff. Otherwise I would have love to continue using it as it just fits aesthetically
Where did you get you Captain America shield from?

Hi my friend
You can do it at home with a kit from Amazon or EBay.

Great review there mate 👍
Didn’t you want to sale me them handlebars in the end then mate
14,5kg weight Alu frame trek top fuel 8 full sus, this HT bike is heavy af :-)
At what point is it no longer a rosco
As long as you retain the frame, it remains a Roscoe!! :-)
@@mtbrookie596 lol ok. Just got myself a marlin 7. Needs some upgrades but I love it.
@@elliotthyde594 have a great time! Enjoy the ride!
Grips are not grips. Source: Renthal sticky ones.
Location, looks like Europe...🤔
It is the Isle of Man, an amazing little island in the Irish Sea.
The new model is MUCH better. Don't buy the Roscoe 6.
