My favorite Gundam Girls that has been my top favorites threw out the entire gundam series is Lacus Clyne, Rou Louka, and Fumina Hoshino.

Pretty sure Audrey/Mineva Zabi deserves a place more than Kudelia. IBO shouldn't really be given the title of a Gundam series in my opinion. Aside from the robots, it has nothing in common with the rest of them, and doesn't even feel like one. It's a decent anime, but a horrible gundam series.
Its because IBO is less superior than the other Gundam series, and another Diplomatic/Peace lover/Leader Ladies in another series is far more superior than mere Kudelia. Lacus (Seed Series) and Relena (Wing Series), they are not my favorites girl in Gundam series, but they are the best in that category.
How Rude, well I don't even claim or want Kudelia to be in the list nor I respect anything here else as it is but you don't need to trash things or people at all just because they were surprisingly annoying excluding Iok in my opinion

Nice list but Marida Cruz, Sumeragi and the commander of Gundam SEED Murrue Ramius should be in this list. Not Rain and the GBF girls.

Aoto Yeah, Sumeragi should have been in this list. She was a brilliant tactician and was essentially the back bone of the Celestial Beings. Without her the interventions would have had disastrous outcomes. Also she is one the female Gundam characters that had this much responsibility. She would have made a good #3 spot.

I kind of disappoint that Relena isn't on this list I can see why because compared to the other characters on this list her presence wasn't a strong but she was still important for the story and as far as ladies in Gundam she was the first one I saw as Gundam Wing was the first Gundam series I watched and fell in love with she is one of my favorite ladies from the Gundam universe she sure as hell is no pushover

Haman was typical cute innocent school girl, but the intense conflict with war and death of both friends and enemy, plus the struggle of being a newtype at young age confuses her greatly, it was tragic how war changes a beautiful fragile teenage girl, into a sadist woman Haman known to many.
Honestly, in terms of female non-villain Gundam characters, Queen Diana by far is the best of the bunch, with exceptional writing, lovely beauty, even greater personality, and just how much better Turn A Gundam became the moment she set foot on Earth. If Harry Ord is my bro in Gundam, then I damn well would worship Diana alongside Harry.

There should be 2 separate list, one for UC and another for non-UC because the worlds are just too different. In UC, you don't have just one protagonists you have many. It's difficult for them to focus on one female character while in non-UC stories you usually have just 1 main female character that is either the main protagonist or paired along so it's not really fair.

Has lost numerous friends but still keeps an upbeat attitude in the UC universe no less. Has an impressive service record going by her tattoos.

Good list, but I'm surprised Four nor Puru 2 got an honorable mention. Psycho Gundam and Quen Mantha were two of the most terrifying mobile suits in the series, aesthetically.

I completely disagree with lacus. Cagalli was by far the strongest female character from that gundam series. That being said gundam seed was not a good gundam series due to some major holes in its plot which included the most annoying part of it which was lacus, cagalli, and kira relationships.

Lacus is consistent throughout both Seed and Destiny, Cagalli was awesome in Seed but was a huge disappointment in Destiny. Where the hell is the girl who fired rockets? Sunrise had to replace her with a former shell of herself in Destiny
Gotcha. I actually have not watched destiny. I found too many holes in some of the plot that made me very frustrated with the show itself.
Yay~! I'm happy Soma Peries/Marie Parfacy (My most favorite female Gundam character) is high on this list! But WatchMojo, I'm beginning to question your knowledge on Gundam. Soma Peries' father figure and commander is Sergei Smirnov, not his son Andrei. This isn't the only time you've made mistakes when it comes to Gundam.

Kudelia did huge during S1. But almost absent during S2 due to her role was done. At the end, she finished what Tekkadan started and truly I was grateful at the ending despite what Gjallahorn douchebags did.

I am so glad to see rain on this list because without her Domon has nothing she is the yin to his very aggressive yang he has pushed her to the point where she really wanted to leave his ass and yet she kept coming back she loves them and in all honesty that particular series wouldn't have done as well as it did without her she is one of my personal favorite ladies from the Gundam universe and I love how she's not afraid to get in a Gundam and kick some ass she's smart she's beautiful and she can kick some ass what more can you ask for

A weeaboo faggot Nope. Unlike Puru and Puru 2, Marida (Puru 12) is basically different. Having a cold personality, but gradually warms up later on, then her sacrifice was one of the best scenes in Gundam Unicorn.
She's a clone, but she's a different person. Hell, her character arc is literally about being your true self (she's a clone of someone else, she gets brainwashed, eventually fights it). My only problem is that she died. Kind of needlessly. Sure, the scene was great, but there's no reason that the scene couldn't be different, allowing her survival.

Lacus over Cagalli for C.E. ?damn ... You really missed out on the Akatsuki
This list isn't the most objective at all. Lacus made it to the top 5? Why? Because she has pink hair? She had the worst character development (if you call that development). Introduced as a moeblob, who transitioned to a Mary Sue. Should've gone for Cagalli or Ramius to represent Cosmic Era. Also Relena Peacecraft of Wing sure may not be popular in the west because of the rabid yaoi fan girls that got into Wing during her time, but only an honorable mention? She is the most impressive female non-pilot protagonist in the Gundam meta verse out there to date. If you guys actually watched the second half of Wing, Relena stole that show. Heck, even Treize TOLD Heero Relena is stronger than him in character, emotional intelligence and conviction. Plus, the number of expies Relena has spawned in and out of the Gundam franchise is staggering: Dianna Soreil and Kihel Heim of Turn A Gundam, Marina Ismail of 00, Mitsuki Sanada and Mitsuki Rara of Dual, Princess Rele of SD Gundam Force, Kudelia Aina Bernstein of IBO and Asseylum vers Allusia of Aldnoah Zero. No other female Gundam character has done this.

I do think Sayla deserves her spot, not arguing that at all. :) I don't mean this disrespectfully but I'm guessing you're a UC purist so throwing in the word "objective" AGAIN would be futile. But anyway, maybe you and I simply have a different take on the word "imitation" but imo, Relena is far from it. Apart from being exiles, and their relationship with their respective shows' protagonist and the antagonist, Sayla and Relena have nothing else in common. Their character designs look nothing alike. Relena is a royal, Sayla is not. Relena didn't pilot a mobile suit, Sayla did. Relena belonged to no side - not the United Earth Sphere Alliance, not the colony rebels. And she had her own storyline. Independent from both the Gundam pilots and the primary antagonist, Treize. She is Wing's female protagonist, and easily the de facto deuteragonist. Can't say the same about Sayla. The expies I mentioned are based off Relena and Relena alone. Her personality, mannerisms, role and even character design. If you're looking for a Sayla "imitation", I would say Cagalli is the closest one we've got. Bottom line, Sayla didn't really spawn the same number of expies the way Relena did and still seems to be doing.

I can't complain because I didn't vote but in my opinion Relena is a better character than Lacus. I would venture to guess that alot of Americans first Gundam was Wing and at the time people didn't like her most likely due to her always promoting pacifism.
