Hello! How you all doing? I’ve a 07 lbz and getting a code p087 fuel rail pressure to low… s far I’ve replace fuel filter head plus filter, fuel lines from the tank to engine bay plus rubber hose on engine bay all around, fuel rail pressure regulator, fuel pressure sensor, fuel rail plug valve, all 8 injector, I’ll double check my ipr tomorrow and the mml on my return line at fuel cooler to confirm but after watching your video I’m almost positive the my cp3 is about done, thank you so much and I’ll update here once I check. If anyone have any suggestion please let me know.
OK, I have a towed in dodge 3500 with injector pump already off. I installed a new one but have no fuel out of the cp3. I have yet to do a flow test, but I do have some getting to cp3.
hey guys great info! ive been watching this video for over a month and trying to use my friends snap on modus and andother modus elite and i cannot find my injector pressure rate. i can find fuel rail pressure. but i know thats not correct. i dont have a run ability issue. i have already replaced the injectors. with Bosch remans.. but my truck is close to 300K. what tools and how do i find my IPR? HELP!
you should always replace that first, it is often a culprit with low fuel pressure isssues. for the cost of the FPR vs the pump, replace the FPR, and dont forget to lubricate the O-ring(s) of the new one with fresh clean diesel or oil before installing it
@@EricWakefield-ls9phyup my LBZ threw a low fuel rail pressure code. I feared the worst…as a first resort I went ahead and changed the FPR and Fuel Filter. And code went away, hasn’t come back since 🙏🏽 phew
Mine only does it with high fuel temp p0087 Idea for a poor man Adding a good size fuel cooler to the feed line going to the filter head and I might actually add one to the Air dog bypass now that I'm thinking about it wouldn't hurt a thing to have 3 coolers and under 100$ invested
let me ask this.....i stink at math ,but my scan tool would only show voltage, and at idle it was 1.24 volts on the rail pressure regulator....so if i look at 12 volts..... 1.24 volts is around 10-12 % of 12v......am i looking at that correcly ?....if so i would say my pump is fine.
Ok back to what the video is supposed to be about At what mileage should the CP3 be charged I don’t care about some extreme mileage one went to Just o my god say at what normal mileage shout it be changed I feel like I grew old waiting on the answer that never came
Long-winded but excellent info, thank you!
Great information. Question, have you experienced cp3 knock with cummins trucks? If so can you explain it in a video?
Just going to throw this out there... my cp3 is at 741,000+ miles. 2005 LLY, injectors were done at approx 610k just because...
I just changed a cp3 pump on a 2006 Duramax engine and found the rubber fuel hoses bad, inside falling apart

And the fuel pressure sensor is jumping from 0 to 21 psi on the scanner.
Where can u find the IPR % at????

Figure it out??
@@cody6.6max my Autel calls it hprc % or something like that
Ipr meaning FPR% on the Duramax. I have about 260k on my LB7 and the scan tool is showing 40-41%.
Fuel pressure regulator????
@@cody6.6max replaced the pump with a stock Bosch reman. Running great last 10k miles. Tows better than ever.
It’s frp fuel rail pressure
How do I test IPR percentage? Do I need a scan tool?
U find it ??
wat about the fpr

I have the same issue. I considered the same thing. Did it work?

Probably max of 5v I'm looking into this as well tho
What’s it show on scan tool?? IPR or fpr?
