Took 22 years, better late than never. Been waiting for someone to break these cp3s down.

I have a question regarding the cascade valve, what modification did you do to it? Or do you sell these modified cascade valves?
I'm in the process of further building my Mercedes diesel cdi which has the bosch CP3 pump.

It truly is pump dependent, another consideration is the supply pump pressure to the CP3. Some of the R70 and R90 pumps have a suction valve return spring, so you must know what pressure it takes to open the suction valve, then examine the supply pump on the CP3 and the shaft, to see how high you can take the pressure. Too much and you generate metal from side loading the pumps spur gears, which ends up in the injectors. Generally around 6-7 bar or 90-105 psi is about all you want. I have gone to 120 psi before but it can be rough on the supply pump and the shaft flats. Depending on the pump in question, stock pressures can be 60-75 psi. We might make a video detailing the modifications process, and do before and after testing.
