    • @HawkGTboy
      @HawkGTboy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Next Generation has aged the worst of those 4. Gene injected so much weirdness into the concept and script writing. There like 20 TNG episodes that are actually good and hold up, the rest are pretty meh.
      People remember it fondly because it was literally the only science fiction on television for several years. Our choice was literally between watching a Lwaxanna Troi episode or watching ALF.

    • @TheSniperGTO
      @TheSniperGTO 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hard disagree. Season 1 and 2 of TNG were hit and Miss, from 3 in the show was superlative, and most of the episodes still hold up. DS9 was amazing, and very much underrated. I’m still amazed today when I meet trek fans who have never seen it. Voyager? Ummm…it had a good premise, it had the absolute best theme song, and 7 of 9 was hot. That’s about all I can say about it. When I was stationed in Korea, I borrowed the series from a friend, and watched it as I’d missed it due to the war and deployments. I was so hyped to finally see 7 years of a Star Trek I’d never seen, and knew nothing about. I had to force myself to watch it all. It was just terrible. In light of Discovery and season 1 and 2 of Picard, it seems ok now.

      The way how Rene Auberjonois was able to make his voice as Odo sound so convincing and unforced is a testament to his ability as a voice actor. He also did the voice of Chef Louis in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”. I had no idea Auberjonois did that voice until years after DS9 ended.
      His seamless voice transition reminds me how Kevin Conroy was able to effortlessly transition from his Bruce Wayne voice to his Batman voice.

    Miles O'Brien was the best characterization of a real technician Star Trek ever showed. Instead of some fancy guy in uniform only typing on computer screens or boostering about how often he nailed the Vulcan chick, O Brien was a hands on guy, who preferred to make his own sleeves dirty instead of waiting for the problem to be fixed by computer magic. • @christianhupfer3164
      @christianhupfer3164 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The character of Jadzia was something like a glue that combined all of them and was surely one reason that that the show made it such outstanding. The decision to led Terry Farrell go out of the contract or giving her not more importance was ill-fated and ruined season 7 (for me)

    When we had proper Star Trek and not Bad Robot and Secret Hideout Star Trek from 2009 to present. Hopefully, we can get back to Star Trek like it had been produced from 1966 to 2005 again. We need hope and optimism. Live long and prosper everyone.

    I love seeing original material from TV. Did not like that they left Sisco out of it. it reminds me of Some of the merchandise and advertisement from the ghostbusters that would leave winston out. They usually gave excuses that basically was just covering up racism. This made me miss the excitement of waiting for a new episode to air

    I love the original Star Trek but am also a big fan of DS9. However, I gave up watching the very first episode which aired in 1993 because the commercials were probably longer than 5 minutes and lost patience. I never watched it after that experience. I only found out how good the story was recently.

On the other hand my neighbor is clearly seen in it on several episodes such as S7E10 It's Only a Paper Moon. He plays a Maître d' in the halo casino. He appears at 20:50 and at other times during that episode. It's not hard to be an extra on a show especially when you have a neighbor that was in the movie and TV industry.
