What a great video, short, basic, straight to the point that can be used to teach simply and understandably what underlies all the Church's teaching on sexuality. I will be using this clip. Thank you, Fr. Mike
Thanks for the video this is great that we talk about it. I am curious though how to Catholics reconcile this with Clitoral stimulation. An organ on females with the sole purpose of stimulation. This is not directly linked to the procreative act is it? As a Catholic I do fear we are failing people still as a whole in discussing sexuality. I understand the abstaining, no porn and love between a husband and wife but strongly think we need to be more specific on certain situations. If there is any understanding of the female experience here could someone please elaborate. Why would females be given this anatomy if not for pleasure in a healthy/loving marriage. I have read very conflicting info on this topic. Working my way through theology of the body and it is good for broad topics but haven't heard this touch in yet. The Catholic Church has had 2000 years to clarify some of these items and I have gotten very mixed messages. Just a frustration. I don't have a doubt the church is the one true church.
Here buddy. Pleasure is not bad, the clitoris is for the arousal and prepares for the lubrication. However ehat is done is different if it's just for pleasure, pleasure being the ulrimate goal, then it's wrong, because it separates it for the purpose of the unity between husband and wife, which can be masturbation, or just arriving at a climax with just the clitoris. However pleasure ordered towards unity and procreation isn't wrong, the example of how this happens, is if it helps the lubrication and the bonding of the wife woth the husband, clitoris stimulation orally isn't bad if it is just a transition for the penetration with the penis, and the final climax is between both ending in a scenario where there could be children because the climax happened with both being able to procreate. In that case clitoris estimulation isn't wrong. But if it's masturbation, either by the wife alone or the husband, it's bad, because the end goal is pleasure and it doesn't end in the penetration, so that they end with an openess to procreation.
If in eternity, we will have the body of a man or woman that we were born with, that means that all the cosmetic changes that these people impose on themselves to look like the other sex will not be retain in eternity, but the original state of the body will prevail. On the other hand, I also believe that the person who was born with a defective body will not retain the defects in eternity. I know it is not the same thing but I would not be able to articulate it. If I tell someone that their child will keep their original sex in eternity and she answers: do you mean that I will keep my handicap as well? I would not be able to answer.
Somebody's sex is a part of human nature. A physical deformity is not inherent to human nature, which is how we know it's a deformity. In heaven, everyone will have perfected human nature at the resurrection, and therefore no more deformities.
@@analuciafranco4975 It is correct, except that the transgender person considers her body to be wrong, they won't see that difference; in both cases it is the body that God gave them.
