I am thinking to get a late RR. But I think that the L322 Vogue is a even much better luxury car than the RR Sport. However both are amazing cars, comparable to nothing out there. I will do my decision through the next months and than log in for the perfect TDV8 ❤
You won’t regret getting a Range Rover Sport. I had one in New Zealand when I lived there. With the V6 diesel and it was fully maintained and absolutely fabulous to drive. 👌
Had one for a year now. 2011 HSE diesel. Absolutely love it. One thing it was lacking is the Bluetooth working for the music as only works for calls. But got one of those Invery Bluetooth adapters plugs into centre consoles old iPod port. Love the air suspension feels like your floating the motorway. And it’s capable of going anywhere and tow anything.
I bought the 2010 l320 earlier this year ,I've had many 4x4 over the years ,then moved away to regular cars like bms and mercs etc always loved the range rover,so I have a big boat and trailer so need to tow and launch ,what better car than the range rover for the job .yes it's 10 years plus old ,135 k miles, but has a great history ,I paid 7 k ,as soon as I picked it up it was straight in for oils and filter change etc ,,needed new brakes and discs to the rear ,then turned out needing new drive shaft ,and stabiliser bar ,yep cost a few grand to sort ,,do I regret it ,not at all I've never driven anything like the range before ,it is just something else had its first mot with me and sailed thru ,this car has never failed an mot or had advisories in all its history .do your home work but don't be put off cos once the problems are fixed you will have the best utility vehicle you could ever drive .highly recommended to all that are considering, bare in mind road tax 700 a year the fuel consumption and service bills ,but if you can stand it ..go for it and enjoy.
We concur mate, we bought a 2012 in 2019 with 50K origininal owner like yours and we put about $3K into it to keep it fully maintained. Love it. We've had other RR but this our favorite. The only feature I wish it had was the cabin filter like the L322, that will always be one of my top RR features of all time, we miss our L322 but it was a bit sloppy on corners, the RRS is not by comparison.. You might try Dynamic mode setting for better shifting sequence. Great video.
Buying a 2009 off a mate next week. He has had to do loads of repairs..( I've the evidence) but still a gamble I am willing to take 👍🏻 vids like this help thanks
Had the Cayenne, X5,X6, Q7 and even an ML - NOTHING even gets close to a Range Rover - I even test drove the X7 last weekend, good but it’s no RR. About to pick one up on Monday. 2011 5ltr V8 petrol sport s/c. It’s an interim car between my Teslas. Will be using it for 6months. Absolutely excited as RR was a dream car of mine at some point. Thanks for the video.
You are so right it's a now or never type of motor. I'm picking a 2011 hse up on Sunday. 6 speed version. So before electric becomes the norm I'm looking forward to a last hurrah with this icon.
I have a one owner L322, I discovered powerful uk before they ran out of items for my model, I did great upgrades with minimal silver,so it maintain a traditional farm during the day and opera at night!!
had a 62 plate Autobiography over 4 years now great car, had all the niggles done that occur on these after a certain mileage still need the anti roll bar done but you can live with it. Great vid
I've had mine for 8 years (2009) and only replaced one suspension boot and a battery. And tyres of course. It rides a bit hard and I take my wife's BMW 1 series around town any day but when you go on a trip it's the most amazing ride. Made for the (windy) open road.
Second love of my life! Bought a super low mileage 2013 one owner black edition earlier this year and love it! Have had all the works done to it to preserve it from mega flushes to timing chain to under sealing to CarPlay. You just cannot beat the comfort.
I have a 2012 sport and I bloody love it. I got it trade for 5k with 175k miles on the clock. I do worry about the crack and I have researched it a lot. To start with my oil filter comes out sparkle free so this is a good sign. Also 2012 has a better machines crank shaft so I hope I’m worrying for nothing. I change the oil every 2k miles and have move up to 5w40 DPF oil. It’s my caravan tow car and after driving from land’s end to the midlands towing a caravan. I get home and feel like of only been to the shops. Great car
Bought my 62 plate HSE from a main Land Rover dealer 8 years ago for £35K. Has been very reliable over that time. Now has 58K miles on the clock. Guess biggest issue was loosing the tv facility (which I never watched unless I was in a carpark waiting for my partner). To replace it was £1.2K so had the garage bypass it. All the info modules are linked like a daisy chain so if one stops working it affects them all. Recently lost audio, sat nav, phone pairing etc. This time it was the navigation module. Cost new £3.6K (inc VAT) from main dealer, so for a car that is worth now £6.6K (according to WeBuyAnyCar) just had garage bypass that module. Still have audio and reversing cameras. Now investigating having a car play system installed that will totally replace the RRS info system. Told the cost would be around £600 fitted.
Great video, im also a fan of that model instead of the second and third generation, i think thatone looks more for the extreme terain and at the same time really agresive in the highway, saludos amigo
I would totally buy one of these 2005-2010 RR sports, 5.0 supercharged if i had a big enough garage that i could perform my own work in. I have plenty of tools and time to sort one out. It's a handsome truck that doesn't show it's age.
Just sold mine, had it for a year and went back to a Cayenne, got the turbo version this time around. I'll wait until I'm an old woman before go back to an old man's car. Land rover spent all the money on making it look elegant and nice to drive but nothing on reliability!
Sorry to hear that man what a shame
I guess the price of these do reflect this and so it can lead to these being not well kept by certain owners. However if you do get a well kept one it can be good and id always recommend buying one under your budget and keeping a few quid spare otherwise avoid buying one

A box we love

That 3ltr engine is a problem
Esp if neglected, so one with full extensive history and regular service intervals which has been cared for can be decent..this car has covered 106k miles and not had any major issues
