Two things. I don't have a drill press, thinking about giving this a go. Should be ok without one right? Also, never taken the inner clutch cover off before. Would be cool if you could go over the correct way to remove it. Draining the fluids and all that to get it off
So that's what you look like, smart and good looking too hahaha. Happy New Year Cooksey. I own 2 2007 200 KTM's and you've taught me a lot. Thank you very much :)
Forget I actually rebushed the kick starter shaft on mine in the case worked well. But nerves boring out the original casting knowing one step away from scrapping it Also the exhaust too where the o rings sit (Exhaust Flange)
tip with the tang breaker. hold the little metal directly onto the tang, then use a small hammer, very light. and make a swift quick smack. think like when you tear a paper towel off of a roll. how a quick movement tears it easier. same thing with the tang. quick smack.
Ha, I just did this a couple days ago and thought about making a video since there was nothing out there. Quite a simple process, just takes time removing the case cover. Thanks!
Great video, Andrew! I expect most of these get cross-threaded first, as the brake return spring is partially in the way (on the 250/300s anyway). Happy New Year, my friend!
@@andrewcooksey2255 Just did my first change on the gas gas 300EX and the spring is in the way for sure. Its a pain. The old 300 location was way better. Recommend using red loctite on the coil?
really glad you're making videos again. you have helped me with the vids and on the forum so thank you!
How do you get that side cover off of the case ? Does it just come off with a couple of bolts or do you have to split cases to do this ?

Yes sir, making the vid takes more time that you would think!!!

Hey Jeff! That is a really good point about the brake spring in the way leading to cross-threading! Happy New Year to you and your fam!!!

@@Danman1972 Well, have not used Loctite on coils, but might be a good idea. I am sure it wouldn't hurt!
Absolutely magnificent!!! I think you will be interested in Promo'SM!!!
