I tell everyone this story, so bear with me. Malcom Konner Paramus NJ, 1977. A ‘65 vette red with black interior. I’m 18 and I had just come into some money. The salesman laughs at me in my jeans and tank top and I get insulted and leave. 10k was the price and I could have paid him in cash. Kicking myself in the butt ever since! 😂. Pride cometh before the fall.
This car takes me back in time. In 65 I was 14 yrs old and this was my dream car. Watching this takes me back and I still get that feeling of excitement!! This car is in amazing great shape.
That is 350 hp not 355. They referred this as a L79, also available in Chevy 2’s. Also you could get a365 solid lifter version and a 375 Fuel Injected engine. Another option which was introduced late was Corvettes 1st Big Block 396 rated at 425 hp but the next year the same engine was rated at 375 hp in Chevelles and Camaro…..Charles Chappell
William Sullivan wowzers! Pretty trusting mama your old pal must have had! Unless of course the two of you were taking it out on the sly... Lol. Either way, that must have been awesome and pretty mind-blowing stuff for two young adolescents to be able to get out and do unchaperoned! Was it a 4speed?

I had two like that back in the day and i had enough sense and testosterone to avoid puting side pipes on them. I think they look like shit and don't impress most real car guys. Only a fraction of the vettes then had the clutter of side pipes.
Correct me if I’m wrong but a guy I knew had a 64 with side pipes. Said it was supposed to keep you cooler than pipes under car which when the car is moving doesn’t mean much but his wife burned her calf on pipe so he moved the pipes to conventional and left side covers for looks and said it was a good move

Beautiful!! I have a restored 1967 Corvette L79 Coupe, and its a blast to drive. I love it!!
Awesome Brenda thanks for sharing!
I also have a 65 silver with red interior, great looking car

It really was in great shape. Previous owner really took care of it. Thanks for sharing too didn’t know that.
I've watched a ton of videos on the C2, and this is by far the best! Thanks!
Wow appreciate you letting me know. I try. Been recharging my batteries for the 2023 season of content to come.

Yep
There was also an L75
327-300 hp as well.
Maybe even a 327-250 hp?
@@johnthonig1692
Yes, 1965 was the last year for the 327/250hp engine.
Gorgeous in every way
Appreciate you watching Douglas. Happy Thanksgiving

That intro was hot!! Great video. I remember playing with this car on gt2. Lol
😂 thanks bro 👊🤙
My favorite corvette is the C2, but I was created in 1964. So I guess it figures. Great video!
Appreciate you watching sir and dropping a comment.

Wow....I love this car!
Yeah they ain’t making anymore C2 Vettes
Nassau Blue was the most popular color for 65 & 66. Great color!
Didn’t know that, but makes sense. I dig the car

Beautiful car. You sure don't want to get hit or go off the road in one.
Now that's what I consider to be a real man's car. They can keep the new vettes.
Fyi, the Ferrari pictured is 60's GTO not a gtb and is worth approx. $50 million usd !

Without the original 327 I'm not the slightest interested .
Nassau Blue is not a rare color....it's actually the most common color for 1965.

1. It's a Mid Year Corvette, not C2z, 2. The lights roll open, pop ups were on the next generation!
I agree 100% restomod something that is non original always do your best to maintain an original car 👍very nice car
