Now that’s how you take apart and paint a caliper.. not like all these lame shops that leave it on and cover the rest of the car with plastic and paint everywhere til it looks ok.
It is a strange thing. I've done this with these calipers before from a Mitsi Evo 8, then bigger 8 piston calipers from a Lambo Gallardo. Yet when I watch this it still seems more satisfying to 'undertake'. I guess I aint doing the work just spending the 'time'. Love it!
Own a 07 TL-S, which have these. Make sure you use Akebono pads instead of brembo pads. Brembo creates lots of brake dust and squeal a lot. Switched to Akebono and love them.
Everyone who noticed that he used the pliers on the gliding surface of the pistons to pull them out. If he were to replace the pistons (which he now must do anyways), it's all fine. But the pistons looked quite good. Not sure how much it would cost, but you can save yourself some money by not ruining the pistons when pulling them out! (:
@@nonameisthename138 If so, than that's ok. Problem is a lot of people now want to rebuild and repaint their calipers, and some will use his method and reuse the pistons. Some of these will now have defective calipers and could kill themselves or others. Don't mess around with brakes if you don't know what you are doing is all I'm stating 👌
Hey, great video! Can you please share with me your sandblasting cabinet setup, stuff like air pressure and media you use and also any modifications you have done? I have the same blasting cabinet and having troubles with getting it to work properly.
@@everythinghondapro5548 its 04-06 TL 6 spd that gets the same exact brembos as the 07-08 tl-s, 04-08 TL base model autos all get single piston non brembo calipers
Nice video 👍. Where did you find a seal kit with the small cross over seal? Centric? Acura doesn't offer the small seal. Also what did you torque the allen bolts to?
Same thing hit me too. Those pistons came out nice and clean, so they are easily reusable. Pulling them out with pipe grips tho, you might as well throw them away -_-
@@deepeebenzo1817 Could simply use some painters masking tape. Gives good grip and protects the pistons from getting chewed up. Could also try the pliers on the inside of the piston and try to pull it out. Or use a pipewrench on the lip of the piston that holds the dustcover. The lip is not dangerous to scratch.
@@deepeebenzo1817 The IDEAL tool however would be some sort of small custom bearing puller tool to bite on to the lip, and then use your hands to pull it off. Again, the surface of the lip for the dust cover is not critical. This part of the piston can be scratched up.
I’m a current powder coater and I just wanted to say great job! I do have one question though. Is there a reason you didn’t use a high temp brembo vinyl then add a clear coat then cure the calipers?
No talking, no advertisements, just straight to the point. Perfect

This is just soooo satisfying to watch.
Very clean! Good job! I need to replace the bushings on mine and I wasn't sure I could do it, until I watched this, thank you!
Stuffing the pistons in with no lube is straight savage bruv😂😂
Great vid though, quite clear and concise. Thank you for the upload!
lol they had some lube on them but yeah maybe needed a bit more, thanks for watching!
Also compressed air works better for removing the pistons from the bore

This has to be the best Brembo paint jobs for me. They look amazing 😮
本当に職人技ですね!

this will be a big channel i can already see it. keep up the great work sir! this was very satisfying to watch!
Thank you much!
This video just sold me on getting mine powder coated. I was going to just rattle can them but I'll spend the extra $ and get them done right

Respect Atleast I’m not the only crazy person that takes off the caliper off the car ty so much
So satisfying to watch! Nice Job and excellent color choice 👌
Good choice on the milwaukee stubby impact gun
It is the best, my goto tool for sure.
This is the most satisfying vid I’ve seen on the tube in awhile. Good work. Flawless
Thanks for showing us that. New project this weekend
Awesome job OP. Miss my 2005 TL 6spd 😞
You snapped on this project
Fantastic rebuild ! Great video! I've been thinking of rebuilding the calipers on my TL-S myself
Nice... need to do this for my 07 TL Type S
Same here broseph
They came out nice 👍 , did the same thing to mines earlier this year but mines are metallic blue
It would be nice if you post the torque specs used, plz. Ty!
Awesome job btw.
Also, how come you didn't clear over the decals?
Skills for days! I don't have the patience
Might have to keep my eye out for these at junkyards. Seems like a cheaper way to get my hands on some brembo calipers.
This was so neat, Loved the green!
Beautiful work 👌🏻
Craftsmanship at its finest
How did you find the torque specs?
Extremely clean and professional work, how long does it take to restore something like this?

🔥🔥🔥, just bought a set gonna try my best at refurbishing them
Fantastic and therapeutic bro. 👍
What was the torque spec?
So satisfying to watch bro!!! 😍
Great job very helpfull when doing yourself, Question wht is the torque spec for caliper 👀
3 people with rattle spray cans watched this video. They didn't like it.
Kurosaki990Ichigo you are telling the truth. This is the best video I’ve seen on repainting brembos.
This needs more likes lol
Those are some beautifully engineered brake calipers. I might start looking for a brembo kit for my truck. 🤔?
That's clean I wish I could do this to mine or even switch it out these seem to be better then mine
You are the F'n MAN!!! This was so therapeutic to watch.🤷🏽♂️ But who in the hell would dislike this video??! How much would this cost?

Yeah, but this looks to be a full rebuild after the spray. So I'm sure the pistons didn't matter at that point

What is the torque on the 4 large bolts?? Also, where did you get the small crossover o-ring?
These are not designed to be separated, so there is no official torque spec. Also the o-ring is not available for the same reason.
15~20Nm
3 ugga duggas with a battery gun
Why is this such a mystery? I can't find an official spec anywhere.
This is some beautiful work
🏁💯THANK FOR THE VERY GOOD VIDEO LESSON💯🏁
Where did you get the Rebuild kit
They’re called ‘repair kit’ for brembo brakes
Nice fuckkng video. Straight to it. Very self explanatory no need to yap off love videos like this
Woke up this morning and watched this very relaxing p.s I subscribed as well I'll be watching
