It is a strange thing. I've done this with these calipers before from a Mitsi Evo 8, then bigger 8 piston calipers from a Lambo Gallardo. Yet when I watch this it still seems more satisfying to 'undertake'. I guess I aint doing the work just spending the 'time'. Love it!
Now that’s how you take apart and paint a caliper.. not like all these lame shops that leave it on and cover the rest of the car with plastic and paint everywhere til it looks ok.
Own a 07 TL-S, which have these. Make sure you use Akebono pads instead of brembo pads. Brembo creates lots of brake dust and squeal a lot. Switched to Akebono and love them.
Everyone who noticed that he used the pliers on the gliding surface of the pistons to pull them out. If he were to replace the pistons (which he now must do anyways), it's all fine. But the pistons looked quite good. Not sure how much it would cost, but you can save yourself some money by not ruining the pistons when pulling them out! (:
@@nonameisthename138 If so, than that's ok. Problem is a lot of people now want to rebuild and repaint their calipers, and some will use his method and reuse the pistons. Some of these will now have defective calipers and could kill themselves or others. Don't mess around with brakes if you don't know what you are doing is all I'm stating 👌
Hey, great video! Can you please share with me your sandblasting cabinet setup, stuff like air pressure and media you use and also any modifications you have done? I have the same blasting cabinet and having troubles with getting it to work properly.
You know what im not sure exactly what it is, I purchased the decals and the stuff came with it. I love it I need to find out exactly what it is, ill report back when I do.
Did you reuse the old seals? I have some crusty looking dual piston calipers and I can't find any rebuild kits for it so I'm hoping a clean up will be fine if they're still holding
No talking, no advertisements, just straight to the point. Perfect
This is just soooo satisfying to watch.
Stuffing the pistons in with no lube is straight savage bruv😂😂
Great vid though, quite clear and concise. Thank you for the upload!
lol they had some lube on them but yeah maybe needed a bit more, thanks for watching!
Also compressed air works better for removing the pistons from the bore
@@TheShangralaaaa17 thats what he used.. the blowgun with the rubber tip..
@@dubango98just people trying to criticize he obviously didn’t want the piston to fly against the caliper.
this will be a big channel i can already see it. keep up the great work sir! this was very satisfying to watch!
Thank you much!
Very clean! Good job! I need to replace the bushings on mine and I wasn't sure I could do it, until I watched this, thank you!
So satisfying to watch! Nice Job and excellent color choice 👌

Best video on TH-cam for rebuilding and powder coating Brembos. Great job!
This is the most satisfying vid I’ve seen on the tube in awhile. Good work. Flawless
This has to be the best Brembo paint jobs for me. They look amazing 😮
This video just sold me on getting mine powder coated. I was going to just rattle can them but I'll spend the extra $ and get them done right
You snapped on this project
本当に職人技ですね!
キャリパーの解体からペイントが見れるなんて、車好きにはたまらんっす。

This was so neat, Loved the green!
Thank you very much for sharing your video, which has enabled me to acquire more knowledge.
Awesome job OP. Miss my 2005 TL 6spd 😞
Beautiful work 👌🏻
Respect Atleast I’m not the only crazy person that takes off the caliper off the car ty so much
Fantastic rebuild ! Great video! I've been thinking of rebuilding the calipers on my TL-S myself
So satisfying to watch bro!!! 😍
Fantastic and therapeutic bro. 👍
Nice... need to do this for my 07 TL Type S
Same here broseph
You are the F'n MAN!!! This was so therapeutic to watch.🤷🏽♂️ But who in the hell would dislike this video??! How much would this cost?

Yeah, but this looks to be a full rebuild after the spray. So I'm sure the pistons didn't matter at that point

Good choice on the milwaukee stubby impact gun
It is the best, my goto tool for sure.
Thanks for showing us that. New project this weekend

I don't understand how anyone could possibly downvote this. AI-driven bots? All of your vids are top-shelf.
3 people with rattle spray cans watched this video. They didn't like it.
Kurosaki990Ichigo you are telling the truth. This is the best video I’ve seen on repainting brembos.
This needs more likes lol
This is some beautiful work
Any chance of sharing the torque spec for the small M6 bolts for the brake pads guides? Minute 06:00
Thanks!
How did you find the torque specs?
Might have to keep my eye out for these at junkyards. Seems like a cheaper way to get my hands on some brembo calipers.
What is the torque on the 4 large bolts?? Also, where did you get the small crossover o-ring?
These are not designed to be separated, so there is no official torque spec. Also the o-ring is not available for the same reason.
15~20Nm
3 ugga duggas with a battery gun
Why is this such a mystery? I can't find an official spec anywhere.
It would be nice if you post the torque specs used, plz. Ty!
Awesome job btw.
Also, how come you didn't clear over the decals?
Those turned out beautiful
Woke up this morning and watched this very relaxing p.s I subscribed as well I'll be watching
Satisfying ASMR visual indeed💪😎 and in real time too like a true tech
🔥🔥🔥, just bought a set gonna try my best at refurbishing them
What was the torque spec?
🏁💯THANK FOR THE VERY GOOD VIDEO LESSON💯🏁

They came out nice 👍 , did the same thing to mines earlier this year but mines are metallic blue

Amazing work
What did he do at 0:36? That caused the pistons to pop?
Put air to the bleeder valve with a blowgun that had rhe rubber tip..
@@dubango98 thanks! 🙂
Nice job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯
Are you going to make a video on how to install onto 92-00 spindles?
Nice joe man
Nice video
Where did you get the Rebuild kit
They’re called ‘repair kit’ for brembo brakes
Nice work
Did you put anything on the small seal. Or should it just be fitted dry. And the mating surfaces. Are they also put back together just dry and clean
Where do you find the torque specs for the big bolts?
Great job!
Awesome powder coating job, love to see it done right. BTW what did you torque the side bolts to?
Lovely lime green...

What’s the function of that tiny gasket you have access to when you open up the calipers?
Nice color. I love it
Why put the decal afterward and not before the clear coat or paint them? Wouldn't thay decal pull right off with pressure washing?
Masterfully Done!!
SUPERB JOB!!!!
What did you torque the large bolts to when reassembling? Also what seal kit did you go with? The video is awesome btw! Thanks.
Those are some beautifully engineered brake calipers. I might start looking for a brembo kit for my truck. 🤔?
Nice job! I would have done the bolts black.
How many ft-lbs oder Nm for the four big bolts ?
What is the name of the blue tape he used to mask off the calipers ??
From the description:
Heat resistance tape - amzn.to/2LspTaK
Preeshhh 🙏🏼
How many pounds did you apply putting the two halve together? Thank you
Nice video thanks for sharing how long did you leave the calipers in the oven
I think this powder called for 10 minutes at 400.
@@EasternNCSportbikes nice thanks again
What torque did you use for the caliper half bolts? I cant find a spec anywhere.
Great video!
please tell me with what force do you tighten the 2 parts of the caliper when assembling?
this is awesome, thank you

What did he spray on the decal in order t move it and squeegee it clean and still stick
When I was a kid, there was stuff called Solvesat or Solveset that was used instead of water for a smoother decal.

Can you share the torque figures of all bolts, thanks..
do both sides get those shime sthe bent ones and if so where can you buy fresh ones

How much lb of tq are you using to bolt them together? Thx

Hi , how much torque in NM tight the caliper bolt 4 piece ? Thanks 🙏
All that great work and no sealant over the decal?
Where did you get those boots and seal kit I’m in desperate need of a seal
Great job 😉
The paint adds 5HP.
The Brembo logo adds another 10.
