- Part 2 of the Singapore (WSSS) - Heathrow (EGLL) flight in the PMDG 777-300ER (British Airways).
In this video we arrive into Heathrow (EGLL) with FULL VATSIM ATC - it was an awesome arrival, very low fuss - just how I like it :)

i just noticed that the star pattens in p3d are actually accurate (it dosent have to do with active sky ,does it?) ,i think i can see orions belt at the start, or maybe im just seeing things. Also i love how you touched down -136fpm@136knots

Loved the video - quick question - when ATC instructed you to fly heading 255, the actual track was 261-262 depending upon the wind. Is this fine by ATC or would you (maybe in more extreme cases) adjust heading so that you are flying the actual track as they have directed?

Exactly why I (on Heathrow Director) asked for a wind check or two so I can adjust my headings accordingly :) You should always fly the heading if issued a heading, and the controller will 'learn' how the wind is affecting the track! :)
@@harrys8855 that's great information! So do you use pilots' information to double-check the weather forecasts and adjust the headings that you give them accordingly? Or are they even your primary source of information for this stuff? Thank you so much!

PMDG should really come to X-Plane 11. I know we have FlightFactor, but PMDG would be a good addition
Matt, have you changed your render settings? The clouds in the dark just look like dark blobs...your stuff usually looks pristine m8
@@mattdavies I mean when you look out over the engines when there's light it also looks really compressed. Maybe it's always that way I just never realised? Still a nice video! Makes me feel like I'm not forgetting how to do it when I'm too busy to sim :)

Maybe a guide on the basics or vatsim for people who want to get into it. Or even some tutorials on the basics of flying commercial aircraft would be cool. If not can you recommend some channels who do this?
