I'm flying once more! Today I take the short flight from London Heathrow to Durham Teesside Valley International with Loganair onboard one of their Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft to spend a day in York before taking the train back home this evening. A very exciting flight in the tiny commercial jet, this 40-minute leg will cover 214 miles.

That Heathrow controller didn’t sound that professional, and him sending that plane on final around was a bit stupid in my opinion as he was over 6 miles out and the Air Portugal aircraft was taking off so in the real world that would’ve been allowed
To be fair, I also had my doubts about the go around with traffic so far out from the runway, I just took it in my stride and carried on as it.
X-plane is in my opinion far superior to MSFS. Whereas MS feels like a game with shiny tiny new aircraft toy models bobbing about in a bathtub. X-plane with all its visual candy shortcomings still feels like a proper simulator of how real airplanes actually fly.

I think when 3rd party developers release proper in-depth airliners like the pmdg 737 or when the FBX A320 is on zibo’s level, the sim will gradually gain on X-Plane. I dont think X-plane 11 was on the level it is now a year after its release…
@@flum91 I certainly hope so. My issue with MSFS is the flying dynamics and the way aircraft react to inputs. from a physics standpoint, it is entirely deficient. More of a fun game than a worthy sim.
@@mishko01 I agree, the bog standard Asobo planes are arcade at best. But that was the direction Asobo wanted to go ,a flight simulator for everybody.
In a few years when we have multiple good working in depth 3rd party planes , MSFS is a serious competitor to X-plane 11
