@@EmmanuelMarin07 doubt it. He literally said in the first 60 secs of this video that he's a MAPPA meatrider. Personal bias prevents people from critiquing things they have an affinity for.
Just look at Nintendo zealots. Despite how anti-consumer and greedy they can be, they have a litany of white knights & defenders. But what people need to understand, @samyalready included is these are companies looking to turn a profit.
They're not morally "good". They don't care about you or how much you champion them. It's about the bottom line. Even if that means running a sweatshop, like MAPPA has been notoriously known to do for the past few yrs. They want profit. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I do wanna mention for the OPM section that season 2 had a really poor production schedule compared to season 1, resulting in a lot of animators layouts being scrapped or changed, especially with episode 8, but mostly with the last few episodes. Although surprisingly there’s an animator at J.C Staff that did animation for every single episode of season 2, Kenichiro Aoki! His output is incredibly fast and takes a lot of inspiration from a lot of the best animators out there! And for a poorly scheduled production, even then he was still able to do great work every time he popped up on an episode! A lot of the best animated scenes from season 2 were done by him.

There were actually great animation moments in OPM season 2 that were ruined by compositing. I remember a scene from the tournament with the red horned monster. The animation itself was super clean with hand drawn dust clouds and effects but they were removed and replaced with computer generated ones. Also with the cockroach fight it had great animation but completely buried under the trash shines effect. The BIGGEST crime was the removal of the terminator impact frame for Genos vs Garou

Fun fact: The group of freelance animators that are working on both JJK and Chainsaw Man first formed for OPM S1. The group split into 2 after OPM S1 and worked on other shows while also growing a lot in size. Both groups then merged back together for JJK S1 and have stayed for JJK and CSM.

MADHOUSE used to be one of the biggest/most popular anime studios out there and then turned into a mass production studio and basically ended themself.
Maruyama left MADHOUSE and founded MAPPA and in the first few years MAPPA was quality before quantity.

doesn't seem the case, if they would do proper animation without rushing people will love the story, nobody watches Jujutsu kaisen, CSM, Hell's paradise due to Mappa but due to the story and the manga itself... This is the same reason why Hell's paradise is not as popular as JJK and CSM... If Mappa downgrades its quality people will surely stop seeing them.... but the way they are animating JJK s2 I find it really hard... although Hell's paradise was inconsistent... some of its shots were 60 fps Full HD animation while other were stale... I hope they hand S2 better... although I loved Hell's paradise anyway

small update: Madhouse is now putting out Frieren with impeccable animation and a healthy production schedule; prioritizing quality over quantity. Meanwhile, MAPPA is sinking; all because Otsuka moved most of the staff to make CSM while they were mid-production with JJK2 (he gets a bigger cut from CSM cuz MAPPA owns the rights and it was a popular manga atm) and now the next JJK chapters are yet to be finished.

I really hope that the 3rd season won't get cut in half or castrated by making it into 12-13 episodes, but they will really go out for high quality 24 eps.

This was a great video explaining MAPPA vs other studios. They have made so many shows but they really need to hold back because I feel like they might have a situation where all their success comes falling down after doing quantity over quality. Frankly they deserve it too after what they've done to their workers. Also do you think you can do a review of each studio(or at least famous ones) of what their strengths and weaknesses are? I'm still trying to figure out what studio has good pros and which one has bad cons.
As for Blue Lock I'm hoping that another studio will take over soon as well since there is so much potential for the anime. I would love if Production IG took the reins since they made Haiikyu and Heavenly Delusion(one of the best anime this year). They're currently working on Kaiju no 8 and it looks phenomenal so I can only imagine what Blue Lock would look like under their care. as a guy who started reading the blue lock manga a year before it was adapted i was always thinking that ufotable would do a better job on blue lock but then i watched god of highschool which is how i discovered mappa in the first place and i thought,"if this studio made this manga into an anime it'd be insane" but then after reading the GOH webtoon and seeing the amount of content they cut out in the adapted GOH Anime I'd still go back my stance on blue lock being better off in the hands of another studio, i actually love the blue lock anime as it is but re-reading the manga with the new chapters recently has me asking if 8bit would need to pass the project to other studios

You made a good point with Bluelock.
As an actual futbol fan, Bluelock only does one thing to the sport - over exaggerating. And that’s what makes it’s so fun to watch! It’s so cool/cringe! It’s MY personal favorite for many reasons with that being one of them. Professional futbol can actually be looked at through the lense of an anime fan. Weapons, Zero-1, those are all IRL things! For example Messi’s weapon would be his sprint-dribble and game sense (Bachira and Isagi combined)

Any studio will work for one punch man season 3. But if we are thinking who all have the bugget, time and quality for doing it then a good chose would be Mappa, and even that might not be sufficient due to the amount of time required for those scenes to get animated without decreasing the quality.
The best options would be a combination of multiple studios, this will not only decrease the work load, but also decrease time without sacrificing quality. Even this has the problems like managing the profits being split among studios and communications between them.

Mappa will ruined it OPM let's be honest also during takt op destiny almost 70% are madhouse mappa during that time they're are more 2nd KA animation production mappa are great on art style and visuals but interms on actions scenes they're are not great example right now jjk s2 are not great right now interm on actions scenes without sunghoo park this series are less hype also animators are complaining on mappa right now also there's no way they can bring nakamura again on OPM especially on mappa production he has own production right now

Blue lock being unrealistic isnt a problem at all in my opinion i love football and playbit as a hobby but blue locm i my 2nd favourite anime. I have a friend who plays the striker position for a club and he LIVES the show its his nr 1 favourite. I think it does a great job at inspiring people and telling a fun story

I barely watch sports anime. I almost quit bluelock in episode 1. But then I saw Isagi say fuck friendship at the end of episode 1 and I was hooked. Now I’m all the way caught up in the manga, this is something I’ve NEVER done for a sports anime. That’s how much I enjoy it. It’s truly a shounen with soccer as it’s power system.

11:06 Madhouse made a movie called, Redline, which you can watch for free on youtube, but it is beautiful especially since it was made in 2007 and it took 7 years to make it. And even though that movie is really good, it made madhouse bankrupt and during that time of failure Masao Maruyama, quit his job at madhouse and started his own studio called Studio Mappa.

As someone who's been playing and following football their whole life, Blue Lock NAILS high performance sports on an individual level. To become the top performer in any industry you need to have confidence - an ego. Only a true "egoist" would take the risks needed and go the extra mile because they genuinely believe they can do it.
There's a misconception most people have that people develop an ego as a result of fame or success, but often the opposite holds true. These guys were always arrogant, that's what got them to where they are in the first place!

and Demon Slayer mainly shines because of Ufotables "digital team" that's what Ufotable is famous for since 2007 when they started Garden of Sinners. but the actual animation in itself isn't even that fluid. an example for fluid animation would be Kyoto Animation (but to know that people need to watch more than just their basic fighting shonen)

The only incorrect thing that stood out to me was saying that you couldn't compare the blue lock anime to colored manga pages. The manga releases weekly, and there's no telling how long it took to draw that specific panel, but typically weekly manga are drawn the week prior to the actual chapter release. Blue lock is my favorite sports manga and anime so seeing the drop in quality from the manga to the anime for really iconic, fan favorite moments was a bit jarring. Other than that I have no issues with the anime. Referring back to that specific frame with Loki, like another commenter mentioned, they really only had to animate the ball haha

If One Punch Man S3 is animated by Mappa, Ufotable or Madhouse. Expectation is gonna be godlike.
But if it is, Trigger or Bones or David Production or Ig or WIt or Sunrise or Pierrot or 8-Bit or JC. Staff. People will most likely get 50/50 split in is it gonna be good or shit

MAPPA is great but I totally agree that one studio should not be adapting every big series out there. Not only because of the workload, scheduling, and budgeting issues it would cause them, but also because I just don't want every major new anime looking so similar. That's boring.
I appreciate you highlighting some of the other awesome studios out there because lately it seems like a lot of people have gotten lost in the MAPPA sauce and see it as the only option for them
Also Blue Lock rules! (but this is coming from someone who couldn't care less about irl soccer lol)
